Back from Japan only just recently, the jetlag was kind of killing Sandra. She loved Japan, most definitely -- visiting at least, but she was sure that living there would have been a different story entirely -- but every time she went and came back over the summer, it was always a very abrupt change. Nowadays, it was weird having to get out of bed in the morning when it should have been night, but this was mostly because she'd had so little time to shift her schedule back to normal. All of that said, it actually helped her in this cae that she spent so much of the day napping anyway -- she was faring much better than people who operated on normal schedules. Actually, because of school, it was much more normal than it could have been, but in this case, it just wasn't weird for her to fall asleep in class anymore, and she had a ready-made excuse. Japan was clear on the other side of the world, after all.
It was so that she left her final class of the day -- English -- with profuse apologies and excuses spilling off her tongue like crazy. While her teacher looked wary, he seemed to relent as he wished her luck in fixing the sleep schedule, and it was so that Sandra left triumphant. She usually wasn't that manipulative or the type to lie or anything of the sort, but it was all true, what she'd said. Her schedule really was more messed up than it usually was. Still, the fact that she still went to bed in the nighttime and managed to drag herself out of bed in the mornings (alright, okay, even if she was dragged by her brother...) was good enough for her. She was more than awake when she left class now, despite the fact that on Japan time it should have been some wee hours of the morning, but those naps in class had done her some good, and it was with a bounce in her step that she left the school to take the bus home. Still, there was a while before the bus got there, so she decided to take a detour through the courtyard, seeing if maybe there was someone there who might want to keep her company in the meantime. It didn't take her long to spot someone.
"Jasmiiiine!" she sang happily as she walked over, waving a little and grinning brightly. "Hey hey hey, do you have any chocolate or candy or... uh, anything? Because my body could totally use the sugar." It really could. Though she was operating just fine for her now running on her naps and the like, she was far from her A game.
