Adam snorted rather loudly. "Yeah, of course you will be. And then you'll end up like every other famous female in the world. Shot up with drugs and going through husbands like you go through shoes." It wasn't hard to find the tabloid magazines sitting on the kitchen table when Molly brought the mail in, the ones that gossiped about the lives of the rich and famous. He was fairly nosy so reading up on celebrities was not a big deal. Adam's lips dipped into a disgruntled frown and made a small grunt in his throat; great, rehearsing lines. That was just setting himself up to be the laughing stock of the school. What would everyone else think? Gotta ignore it I guess. "Yeah, that sounds extremely exciting. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my afternoon. I could be playing video games or something." Which he could be but hey, he would be helping a friend and potentially getting some lip action. Damn his loyalty.
Uh oh, this was a rather sticky situation. Obviously the boy had not slept with but one girl, and being only fourteen it was not like it was something straight out of a high-end pornography film. Instead of admitting to this, Adam merely crossed his arms and passed the look right back at her. "Names are confidential, and some never gave me their name." Because that was a good way to hide it, right? Though it was true; some girls who slept around usually went nameless.
The tense build up in his shoulders was starting to become a rather large nuisance, but he could pass over it quite easily. He was too busy focusing on the fact that Madeline had used his nickname and he was agitated and angry and it sucked to have a temper. "You better not. If you don't want to get in a fight that is." He could be a loyal friend and tried to avoid harming those he cared about, but anger was a bit less rational. "It probably is. You never know. There might be a medication for that." Was there really medication for bitchiness? He didn't know but that would be an interesting pill. There was a satisfied glint in his eyes as he looked at her, though the rest of his expression was fairly unreadable. Did Madeline really consider herself lucky, or was she just saying that to appease him? Either way he couldn't help but feel a bit better that, anger issues aside, she did not mind being around. Social as he was the friend label was hardly ever used.
"Under the floor is just as lame. And the ceiling would be shitty too because the blood would just leak through. I guess I could just spread the body parts everywhere." Like take them to different parts of the Hollow and beyond and bury them. Good luck finding every single piece. Maybe it was bad that Adam was thinking so much into this but he tended to do that a lot. He shrugged a little bit, looking unfazed. "Nah not really. But at least I'll be out here to protect you, eh? I'm made of steel." He tapped his chest and tried to look tough. Maybe he did to some people but it was not something everyone believed probably. He was glad that she decided to tag along to find out what was lurking in the shadows, and silently he hoped it wasn't anything like a bear. Unfortunately for Adam it was worse than a bear. A large dog came out from the bushes, looking worn down and matted. Despite how haggard it looked Adam felt his throat tighten and he took a step back while Madeline started to pet it. "It probably has rabies! Why they hell would you go around petting random stray dogs?" While that was actually a legitimate question and a true statement, this was all based off of fear. Big dogs were not his thing. Next to clowns it was one thing he did not do well with at all. "We should go. He'll be fine out here. I'm sure he is smart enough to take care of himself."
