Avery was on his lunch break. It had been a pretty long day, students coming in and out, some who greeted him with cheerfulness and some just...not. You see, Avery has this habit of shamelessly flirting. A lot of students reacted positively to it; it's a boost in self esteem, he tells ya! But others, namely the fires and thunders (oh, especially the thunders) didn't appreciate it. And Avery was fine with that. It's not like that was going to stop him; although it really should. One of these days he'll be in the middle of a messy prank full of revenge and he'll only have himself to blame. Avery shivered at the thought of that. Kids these days were scary.
Heading on over the the mess hall to get his lunch, he was surprised that the halls were pretty empty. It was usually packed full of people and even with his doctor coat on, students shoved past him like he wasn't of any importance. Avery didn't take that too heavily though. They were treating him like one of them! Avery wasn't too sure if that was something he was proud of, but he did admit to having more students as friends than people his own age. He was mentally the age of a teenager, despite him turning 27 years old soon. But eh, details. Once Avery was inside, he realized why the halls were so empty. They were all in the mess hall. Apparently there was some lunch special and everyone was in line to get it; and literally there was everyone. "Oh, great..." Sighing in defeat, Avery took his place in line.
It took about 30 minutes to get his lunch and once it was in his hands, he scowled down at it. No doubt it looked delicious, but because of it and its deliciousness, staying in that line pretty much took up his entire break. Avery sighed, then headed back to his office in the medical wing. Hey, he could always multitask.
After reaching his office, Avery headed straight to his desk and began eating. Might as well, before students came walking in with injuries from fights which would force him to patch them up and then returning to his lunch but another student would come in and he'd have to repeat the process and by the time he actually got to eat, it'd be cold...and that was not far from the truth. Don't get him wrong, he loved his job. Sometimes it'd be busy like it was today, or it'd be super not busy and he'd end up wallowing in bored-ness. Avery took everyday as it came, but there never seemed to be a balance. Balance was good.
Avery figured that he looked like a man who hadn't eaten food in weeks. Being hunched over his desk, shoving food into his mouth, barely chewing before he swallowed. And it's not like Avery didn't have any table manners, but he hated it when he was disturbed while eating. It was like, the equivalent to disturbing him in the shower. But then again, if you were a attractive person, he probably wouldn't mind. But that's getting off topic.

Sandra always managed to hurt herself in one way or another. Honestly, the girl wasn't actually that clumsy, but depending on what she was doing on any given day... she had a tendency to get hurt. Today, she and her friends had eaten lunch in the mess hall, as per usual, and then there was still so much time left over that they'd decided to head outside for a snowball fight. By the end of their lunch period, Sandra was thoroughly drenched and late for class, and she called back hurried "bye"s and "I'll get you back"s to her friends as she ran off -- her Math class was clear on the other side of the castle. "Sorry, excuse me, late for class!" she squeaked as she pushed past a couple of stragglers outside still on the stone path -- but so relieved was she to break out of the crowd and pick up speed again that she didn't pay attention to her footing, and oof. She fell forwards and laid sprawled on the ground for a few seconds with people either laughing or trying to help her up around her, but she just shook herself off before hurrying away again. Her face and hands stung a little where she'd fallen on them, but she didn't have time to deal with that right now -- her Math teacher was going to kill her for being late, she was pretty sure.
As it turned out, her Math teacher, a pretty angry middle-aged Thunder elemental, was indeed pretty upset... and always had seemed to have a secret vendetta against her (probably because she never did homework and regularly fell asleep in class). When Sandra ran into class late, therefore, completely out of breath but trying to call out apologies, the woman looked sharply over at her, stopping immediately in the middle of what she'd been writing on the blackboard. "You are not allowed to come into class late and -- why are you dripping water on the floor? And what happened to your face?" her teacher asked, pretty angrily at first, then a little more softly for the last part. Sandra just stared back, confused. "Well, it's a long --" Her teacher didn't seem to care, though. "Out." Sandra tried to protest, but she was cut off by the woman. "No, I mean -- go to the medical wing. You're bleeding. And ask for a towel or something while you're there, you're soaking wet." Sandra was confused, but she wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to leave class, so while this whole issue of bleeding (apparently) was a little worrying, she just said, "Uh, thanks... I think... bye," and then decided to obey.
The walk to the medical wing wasn't far from here, luckily, and it wasn't exactly like she was going to get lost on the way. Sandra certainly wound up there often enough, though usually she wasn't actually sent there by a teacher or anything. She entered the medical wing and found that it was actually empty in there, but she could hear something -- someone either moving things around or eating or something like that -- coming from Nurse Avery's office in the corner, so she walked over and knocked a few times on the open door, just to be polite. As it was open, though, she then poked her head in without further invitation. "Hiii, me again," she said, grinning a little sheepishly. "Math teacher wouldn't let me in... apparently I'm bleeding." She said it very matter-of-factly, then withdrew her head from his office to look over at the sink in the corner of the main room, where there was a sink with a mirror. Sure enough, there were scrapes on the right side of her face, which probably explained the stinging she felt. "Go ahead and eat though, no rush!" she said, looking back at the nurse now and smiling brightly as ever, though it kind of hurt her face a little.

Avery really wasn't the type of person to be frightened easily. Usually when it happened it was when he was so focused on something that he tuned everything else out. Whether it be a loud noise, or a head popping out of nowhere, of course he'd be scared. So when the all too familiar water student popped her head into his office, all it took was one glance for Avery to start choking on the food he was inhaling. He covered his mouth with a napkin, violent coughs being muffled, before waving slightly as a greeting as he settled himself. "Hey there, Sandra," he managed to get out before his coughs subsided altogether. Avery sighed. Sandra was one of his more frequent visitors in the medical wing. The injuries were often due to her clumsiness, which reminded of Avery himself--and because of that, he gained a rather endearment towards her over the years. Even though she did have some bad timing, and he's seen her so many times, Avery actually worried for her well-being. Sandra was a bright and happy little water, so it wasn't like Avery minded her being a frequent patient.
"No rush? You're bleeding," he laughed, shaking his head as he got up from his seat. Sandra just smiled brightly at him, as she always did, and Avery couldn't help but smile back at her in amusement. No matter what happened to her, it seemed like she had enough energy and smiles for everyone. "Come here," Avery said as if he was talking to a puppy, and gently took the sides of her face in his hands, peering closer, smirking. "What did you do this time?" Avery asked, his tone exasperated and exhausted. He was joking of course, and he couldn't help but laugh a little as he examined her scratched up face. Avery shook is head once again and patted her on the head. "C'mon, I'll disinfect your wounds and get you some band aids." He took her by the hand and led her into his office, but not before looking back over his shoulder and smirking. "I'll even give you a lollipop if you behave~"
Sitting Sandra down on one of the stools, he walked over to his desk to get his first aid kit. Avery actually had one reserved just for Sandra, by messily scrawling her name on the front and back of the case and adding on some sparkly stickers. Don't ask him where he got them. "What am I gonna do with you?" Avery asked playfully, ruffling Sandra's hair. Opening the first aid kit, he grabbed the antiseptic wipes and dangled the package in front of her, a smirk on his lips. "You should know what this is by now," he laughed, his voice foreshadowing. The antiseptic stung like hell, but he was sure Sandra had gotten used to the feeling by now. "Aaaand, here we go~" Avery cooed, gently wiping her cheek thoroughly. "If you're going to keep being clumsy, Sandra, at least avoid the face," he warned, his tone light and joking. Avery then smirked, his eyes mischievous, and added, "Scarring on a pretty face will be a shame."

Sandra hadn't meant to scare anybody, honestly, and when Nurse Avery started choking on his food... well, she felt bad. She also kind of just felt bad for interrupting people when they were eating, because if she knew anything, it was that food was awesome and there were few good reasons to interrupt anybody who was eating. Admittedly, helping kids who managed to hurt themselves -- much like Sandra -- was sort of his job, but still, if she had seen that, she would have at least waited for him to finish eating before making her presence known. It was even worse because he was choking to death, here, and Sandra didn't know CPR or anything, okay, she wouldn't be able to help if it was actually serious. Luckily, it wasn't. "Sorry! Sorry sorry sorry!" she said anyway, making an almost comically upset face. "Are you okay? Please don't choke and die!" She stopped then and paused before adding, "But hi!" She liked Nurse Avery, though. He was always so... so nice, patient with her even when she had done something completely stupid and interrupted his meal (in the process causing him to choke, even).
She waved a hand as if to say that it didn't matter at all, this whole business of bleeding. It was just a few scrapes, really, she'd noted upon looking in the mirror -- her teacher had made her fear that she'd been stabbed in the face or something without realizing it, but it wasn't that bad. "I don't think it's even bleeding anymore anyway, just scraped up a bit! Go and eat!" she insisted, but the nurse was already there holding onto her face and what-not. She looked up at him innocently, giving him the puppy dog eyes to match the voice that he was now employing as he talked to her, as if to say that it wasn't her fault, really, she hadn't done anything wrong! Okay... maybe being late to class was a little bit her own fault, but she didn't think that it was so bad all things considered. "And nothing! Nothing at all!" she smiled brightly, then opted for the truth. "Well, I had a snowball fight outside but then I was late for class so I ran... and then I fell... outside. And it hurt." She had even kept running, though, which was kind of hilarious now that she thought about it. "Made it to class, though! But then Mrs. Riddell kicked me out because I was dripping water over her floor. Not that I mind, 'cause I get to see my favourite nurse! Oh yeah, by the way, do you have a towel?" she asked, smiling -- again looking totally innocent. She hadn't done anything wrong, seriously! Sandra giggled and followed him into the office, though, feeling like a little kid being led along by the hand. "Ooooh, lollipops!" Okay, so she was like a kid in more ways than one, big deal.
She settled happily on the stool and waited patiently for him to get the first aid kit. His food still sat on the desk, half-eaten (or more like half-inhaled, if his eating speed when she'd come in were any indication) and again she felt bad. "You really can eat, you know, it's no big deal," she said, shaking her head a little. Plus... considering she'd of course eaten lunch before this whole snowball fight thing too, she knew how good it was, honestly. She was quickly distracted by the sight of a first-aid kit with her name on it -- if that was her name, because it was true what they said about doctors and their handwriting she was pretty sure -- along with a number of sparkly stickers. It was almost sad how often she was in here, especially because most Academy students wound up in the medical wing after having had fights. Sandra just got sent here when she hurt herself accidentally. "Eep, not the antiseptic!" she squeaked, but she didn't mean it so much, being more or less used to the sting, and she sat still as he wiped at her cheek. Well... she scrunched her face up in anticipation, but after a while the sting was more bearable and she opened her eyes again. "But see, Nurse, I don't actually try to be clumsy, it just kind of happens. I'm sure it won't scar, though. It hasn't yet, right?" She grinned cheekily, but she did appreciate the comment about being pretty -- she just didn't recognize it as flirting, really, probably because she herself gave out compliments freely.

Avery began to think that the Academy should really have a class on first aid. You know, the basics. How to patch up some simple scratches, learning CPR--so that in situations like these, people wouldn't be freaking out; in this case, Sandra. Avery waved his hand in dismissal as she apologized to him. He would've laughed it off if he wasn't coughing so much, but the face Sandra was giving him was both adorable and hilarious that he actually did laugh--which only caused his coughing fir to become worse. "I'm--fine--" he managed to get out and Avery reached over for his water bottle, taking a large gulp of it. It helped, but now Avery was hiccuping. "Well, that's a nice greeting," he said, his tone both sarcastic and amused. Sandra was just a bundle of energy--a little sister he always wanted--and she was just so innocent and and childish and just...ugh. Avery couldn't fathom how adorable she was...in that little sister sense. Otherwise Avery would be border-lining pedophile. And as if that hadn't been mentioned to him before."And hello, Sandra." He hiccuped again, and he sighed, laughing at himself. "You always manage to have the best timing," Avery laughed, and grabbed a napkin to wipe his mouth.
The puppy eyes Sandra was currently giving him made Avery raise his eyebrows, as if saying he wasn't going to give into that. They had seen each other so many times, that this was just routine. He could swear Sandra was a little five year old girl trapped in a high school senior's body. No one was this uncoordinated (not even Avery!) and if there was an award for such a thing, Sandra would be winning the trophy of "most frequently visited." Avery had a lot of regulars, but she pretty much took the cake. "Ah, now that sounds more like it," he teased her as she explained. "You having nothing to do with your own injuries is just highly impossible." Avery then glanced out at the window and smirked, asking, "Was the snowball fight at least fun?" He never really saw the appeal of snowball fights due to a trauma a few years ago. Okay, maybe that was slightly exaggerating, but that little kid actually threw ice at him. Nearly knocked him out. So now, Avery avoided anything ice. Plus it was slippery; he had terrible coordination, so slipping and face planting on the cold ground was unfortunately a reality.
During Sandra's explanation only then did he realize she was actually wet. "What am I going to do with you?" he repeated, laughing as he shook his head and went over to his desk. He had a few towels stashed, but he also had some spare clothes (which were his own). This job, although sometimes slow, did get a little messy. Some students came in donning some nasty injuries, mostly due to fights with enemy alliances, and even though Avery was extremely careful, he sometimes managed to get blood on his own clothes. Not only was that unsanitary to be wearing that the whole day, it was just plain terrifying. Who would want to be patched up by some dude with blood splatters on his clothes? Okay, maybe that was exaggerating, but it was true! Opening the drawer, he pulled out a towel, an oversized t-shirt, and some sweats. "Aww shucks, I'm flattered," he said after she called him her favorite nurse. Avery ruffled her hair once again, then placed all the things he had in his hand over her head. "Here, go and change or else you'll catch a cold. That would mean I'd have to see you again. As if I haven't seen you enough," he joked, and he pushed her to the bed, pulling the curtains around it so she could change. "Hurry, before someone comes in and thinks I'm a pedo."
"Nah. Besides, it's rude to keep a lady waiting." And in all honesty, he wasn't sure if he wanted to eat it anymore. The trauma of choking on it again kind of frightened him, especially when she was still here. Sandra was more than unpredictable--heck, for all he knew, she'd accidentally trip again, land on Avery, and he'd really choke to death. "And I don't think I want to experience a near death again in your presence," Avery joked, smirking. They were both accident prone people; putting them in a room together was not the best idea. He poked her nose as he watched Sandra scrunch up her face and he looked on with fatherly endearment. "Well, in this rate it will," Avery laughed, placing a hand on her head. "Surprised it hasn't by now. This is your, what, 100th visit?" Avery was just guessing, but he could just tell it wasn't a far off number.
[omg sandra is so adorable<3]

Sandra watched him with wide eyes as Nurse Avery just coughed and spluttered away before finally managing to get a drink of water. Seriously, that was lucky. She would have been absolutely useless in that situation, and where the heck would she run off to to find someone who could do the Heimlich or something? Yeah, she couldn't think of anyone in particular. She'd probably have just started running through the halls screaming wildly at the top of her lungs for help, and that would have been quite the sight. "Sorry again," she said, genuinely apologetic. Jeez, Sandra. She had seriously bad timing. "I try not to come at bad times! But I think at this point every time is a bad time for me," she said, laughing a bit, partly at herself and partly at his hiccups. The teasing she could take without offense or embarrassment at all, because seriously, at this point... Well, she didn't know too much personally about Nurse Avery or anything, but they probably knew each other well enough. Sandra would consider him a friend, if that wasn't a weird thing to say about the school's nurse. She was pretty sure he was friends with her brother or something, but hey, Sandra didn't really know what the heck was going on most of the time. Either way, she was very used to Nurse Avery and so she was pretty okay wtih the teasing.
"Hey, it could happen!" she protested a little bit anyway, shooting him a look of deep resentment (though it didn't really mean anything; she was pretty much just goofing around). Then again... she couldn't think of an actual time when she'd gotten hurt and it hadn't been at least partially her own fault, except for that time some Fire kids had been pretty mean and singed her hair -- causing her a few minor burns in the process -- but that was back in Grade Nine, when she had been small(er). Sandra hadn't changed too much since then, of course. "Could happen. Maybe I was the victim! Someone could have like, gone at my face with sandpaper or something!" she invented wildly, but obviously this hadn't happened -- seeing as she'd just told him the real story ayway -- and she just smiled rather than go on with this thought. "And it was! Except I totally need to get my friend back and now I'm super wet," she said, laughing a little and pinching at a couple of strands of her own hair to show that it was, indeed, still damp, as were her clothes. At least her jacket had been spared, mostly because she'd gotten really hot while running around outside and had taken it off. The rest of her clothes were totally done for, though.
She just giggled a little at his apparent exasperation with her, but again, she was much too used to this. She was in here once every couple of weeks, if not more often than that. "You should be!" she said, laughing. "I don't pick favourites easily, you know!" That was a definite lie, actually. Sandra just tended to love everything and everyone, and after all Nurse Avery was the only nurse she knew so well. Who else would it be? She laughed when he ruffled her hair -- again -- but she went obediently over to the bed (sort of fumbling along because she had the towel over her head and she couldn't see). "No one will think that," she said, maybe being very naive in this thought as she tossed her own wet clothes off to the side -- trying not to get too much water on the bed, though she supposed that Nurse Avery would probably be able to get it out, being a Water and all -- and pulled on the new clothes. Yeah, dry clothes were definitely nice. Anybody else might have felt slightly awkward about the whole thing -- changing just a few feet and a thin curtain away from Nurse Avery, wearing what she assumed were his own extra clothes, all while making jokes about his being a pedophile... Sandra was one unique soul or something. Nah, she was just very comfortable with people very easily, and she liked (and thus trusted) the nurse. Plus, the alternative was walking around soaking wet and cold all day. Once done, she folded her clothes up in a neat-ish bundle, but it was hard to do while they were still pretty wet, and then she pulled the curtain aside and re-emerged, smiling brightly as ever. "Thanks, Nurse Avery," she said, and she really, really meant it. "You really didn't have to give me clothes or anything though, you know... Unless it's like part of your job or something... But still, thank you!"
Sandra would have been pretty okay with just waiting for him to finish eating, of all things -- she knew the importance of food, okay, it was one of her most cherished things in life or something -- but since he insisted, she admitted defeat. She was actually just pretty much willing to go with the flow and do whatever. "You weren't near death... I hope," she said, frowning. She really hoped that it wasn't the case. "Wait, you weren't actually, were you?" This would seriously worry her if it were the case. She laughed a little bit when he put his hand on her head, though. Seriously, sometimes it was like she really was a puppy or something... and yet she wasn't able to get away with the puppy dog eyes anymore. Such was life. "Oh, oh oh, do I get an award for Most Visits to the Medical Wing or something?" she asked, grinning widely. It wasn't really something to be proud of, but hey, she did what she wanted!
(lol awwww thanks. i was actually just going to say i really like avery. :< also omg feel free not to match, i was just rambling hardcore in this post. )

The way Sandra was looking at him was like Avery was on the brink of death. It was quite amusing actually, and if he wasn't choking he would've been taking a picture of it with his camera phone. Oh, Sandra. She was like the golden entertainment for the nurse. She never failed to amuse Avery, even if she didn't mean to. Every action just seemed to fit in a comedy sitcom. "It's fine, it's fine," he assured her after he stopped coughing, but now it was the hiccups that were the problem. Avery sighed, but his eyes sparkled in amusement as Sandra laughed. "Yes, I agree. You should just have your own little bell, so I know when you're walking down the hall." Musing over that image, Avery laughed at the absolute ridiculousness and cuteness of it all. Sandra already reminded him of a newborn puppy; this just took the cake. Next time, he'd be ready to present her with her own little bell. Avery would personally tie it on her shoelace.
Avery gave Sandra "the look," as if he didn't believe her. He himself found it hard to imagine Sandra getting into a fight; it just didn't happen, and anyone who actually wanted to hurt her probably has some serious problems because Avery knew that she wouldn't just go around instigating fights. "Sandpaper?" Avery repeated, his tone amused. "Well doesn't someone have an active imagination!" he said, his voice sing-song. This girl. "I have a solution for your clumsiness," Avery said after a moment, completely serious. He leaned in closer to Sandra, as if it was some super secret information, and smirked. "We tape pillows to you." Avery sat up straight again, laughing in amusement at the thought of it. Knowing Sandra, however, that probably wouldn't be enough. It was still a cute thought though. "And maybe this time you won't go face-planting on the ground!" he joked, patting Sandra on the head, shaking his head. He's face-planted himself more than he could count--and that's why he avoided the snow. Avery was a pretty uncoordinated and clumsy person, so adding snow underneath him was not safe.
Avery snorted and poked Sandra on the side, though he was flattered. In this line of work he was usually taken for granted and having someone say that he was their favorite, well, darn, that made Avery feel all fuzzy inside. "Obviously you don't know how things are around here," he said sarcastically, waiting with his back turned. Sure Sandra was covered by the curtain, but Avery still felt a little awkward having someone change in the same room as him. Anyways, dues to his flirty nature, most people thought he was a pedo just by that fact alone, and having an undressed student in his room would probably just reinforce that fact if someone were to walk in at this instance. Oh, he would have a lot of explaining to do. Avery finally turned around at the sound of Sandra's voice and his lips twitched into a smirk. He was a relatively tall person, therefore his clothes were a bit big, so looking at Sandra now was both endearing and funny. They hung off of her body noticeably. "No problem, but do me a favor." Avery took a step closer, both his hands on her shoulders, and seriously said, "Don't tell anyone those clothes are mine." That would be very awkward. Sandra was a rather naive girl and probably wouldn't understand it, but her walking around in the nurse's clothes, after she was sent to his office for some minor injuries while her own clothes were still there...well, uh, that sounded fishy. And could perhaps be something that could fire Avery due to the misunderstandings, and he really didn't want that to happen. It'd probably just solidify the face that he was a pedo, which he was not!
At this point, Avery pretty much had forgotten about the food. His throat was a bit sore from all the coughing, but that was it. He wasn't really in a near death situation, but just to freak Sandra out a bit he sighed, trying his hardest not to smirk. "On the brink of it," Avery said solemnly and his eyes widened as he leaned closer to her. "You would've probably had to deal with my dead body," he nearly whispered, then burst out laughing and nudged her playfully. Nah, he wasn't even close. Though if it continued he probably would've been throwing up all of his lunch, and that's a sight (and smell!) that you wouldn't want to experience. "Yup! And I have just the prize!" Avery sidled up next to Sandra, his elbow resting on her shoulder. "Me~"

Sandra was very glad to see that he was okay and not about to die or something, but she couldn't stop giggling at the hiccups, and his suggestion of this whole bell thing didn't do anything to help. "Not sure my teachers would like that... Every time I move it'd ring," she said, frowning a bit. "Plus I think after a while you'd just associate bells with me showing up and I don't want you to hate bells or anything. 'Cause that's totally unfair to bells. Discrimination or something." Did Sandra even know what she was talking about anymore? No... no, she really didn't, so it was unlikely that Nurse Avery did either, but sometimes these things came to mind and she just had to go with them after all. A bell would seriously be kind of hilarious, though, but she was pretty sure that everyone she knew would just eventually get annoyed with it. "Yes, sandpaper," she said, the epitome of seriousness, shooting him "the look" right back. Pfft, she knew that look well enough by now, and it was so not going to work on her. Sandra didn't follow instructions that well, apparently.
"I have a very healthy imagination, thanks!" she said, grinning cheekily at him, but she was a little taken aback by how completely serious he seemed for what he said next... and then she was laughing again, because Nurse Avery was ridiculous. Sandra was pretty sure that, were they the same age, they would have made pretty awesome friends... and they could still be, she thought at least, but things were always weird between the faculty members and the students, and she didn't want to mess things up for anybody else. "Noooo, then I'd just walk around looking like a giant marshmallow or something!" That was fine, but it really was not very practical at all. "Though... then again... it'd make napping really comfortable and easy," she said, eyes a little wide, imagining if she could just sit in class with all these pillow strapped to her and just fallen asleep easily in her cocoon of fluffiness or something. That would be the life. If only everything was made of pillows, but she was sure that there were some serious construction issues with that idea.
She squeaked loudly at being poked in the side, and made a mental note to get back at the nurse before she left. Oh, it was on now. He'd never see it coming! She acted innocent, though, just pouted a little -- but even when changing behind the curtain, she was totally planning her ultimate plan for revenge. Revenge! "Hm... I don't even know what that means," she said after a second, frowning a bit, but he couldn't see her anyway until she came out again, and by that point she was back to being regular old Sandra, no plots of vengeance on her mind. When he planted his hands on her shoulders she frowned, not because it really bothered her, but more because she was confused. "Um... okay, sure. But why -- you know what, never mind!" She hadn't actually figured it out, but she figured that if he was being like that then it was one of those things she didn't want or need to really know the details of. If she thought hard enough, she'd probably figure it out... but things didn't automatically jump to Sandra's mind in that way. "Okay, I won't tell anyone. What should I tell them if they ask, though? 'Cause I mean..." She raised her arms a little to show off the bagginess of the shirt, and she giggled. "Totally conspicuous."
Luckily for Sandra, though she was pretty naive, she wasn't stupid (arguably...) and so she didn't immediately fall for his act. If he could joke about it then obviously he was okay, or at least okay enough to kid around! This did make her feel better, and she grinned. "Glad I don't have to do that, then! I don't know how to take care of a dead body. Or perform CPR... You'd be screwed either way. That would be a terrible death," she said, shaking her head, but she was still smiling, and she laughed along once he did too. She looked up at him when he used her as an armrest, and sang cheekily, "Not a very good prize, I'd rather take a lollipop!'

Avery grabbed his water bottle again to settle his hiccups. With his throat still sore from the initial scare, the hiccups weren't helping the slight pain. He sighed, hiccuping again, and glared jokingly at the water as she giggled at him. "That's the point," Avery said, smirking. "Every single movement of yours just signals danger--it's a favor to you and everyone around you," he laughed, fully implying Sandra was a walking danger. Playfully, of course. "I can just imagine the nightmares I'll get," he joked as he shuddered. Oh yeah. In his dreams he'd be walking down the hall and he'd hear bells ringing. Avery would turn around but nothing would be there--whew, that was actually pretty terrifying. "Then should I get you a walkie-talkie?" Avery asked, amusement crossing his face at the thought of it. They'd be like, spies or something. But then again, he'd probably freak out if he suddenly heard a voice coming out of nowhere. No way would Avery want to repeat the whole almost-choking-to-death situation. Though he'd probably just mess with her right back...oh, waters and their need to pull off pranks. Laughing at her seriousness, Avery poked Sandra's nose. "Oh, aren't you adorable?" Sandra and seriousness was a combination that just didn't fit.
Just at the thought of Sandra with pillows strapped to her was hilarious, and he gripped his stomach when the laughing became unbearable (his face literally looked like this --> xD). Avery could imagine her waddling in the halls and falling over and not being able to get up...oh man, Avery hadn't laughed like this in a long time. "Actually, scratch that idea. It'd probably be even more dangerous!" he exclaimed. From his previous experiences with Sandra, he knew she tripped a lot, so...yeah, pillows. Not a good idea. She'd probably be rolling around in those things before actually being able to get up. What a sight that would be. "I can just imagine. A huge pile of fluff snoring away. I cannot be held responsible for that!" he exclaimed, raising his hands in defense. He'd have a lot of explaining to do...as if people didn't think he was weird already.
He laughed out loud when Sandra squeaked. They were too alike, in the sense of their friendly and bright nature, as well as being ticklish. Avery shook his head--he really had too many friends that were still students. He needed to get out more often. "Don't worry your little pretty head about it~" he sang. Really, there was no need to explain it to her. Avery was an awkward person to begin with, so this would just be like adding mentos into coca-cola. He poked her nose again and smiled. "Good. I don't think corrupting someone like you should be my responsibility," he explained vaguely, his tone uninterested, but he was smirking on the inside. Oh, the day Sandra was corrupted would be the day hell froze over. He just couldn't imagine it. "Right. I hadn't thought of that." Avery furrowed his eyebrows for a second, laughing with Sandra as she held up her arms, then said as he snapped his fingers, "Say your boyfriend dropped them off or something," he suggested, but he had to keep himself from laughing. Did Sandra have a boyfriend? He shrugged. That would be too adorable. And a bit worrisome...there were times where Avery felt like her father or something.
"Yup, I agree...having to see your face before I die..." he shuddered, but playfully nudged her to show he was joking. It'd actually be pretty comical, considering all the adorable facial expressions Sandra made--but no matter how you see it, it'd be traumatizing. "Pfft, I see how it is!" he exclaimed childishly, pouting. He poked her again in the stomach and laughed teasingly, "Fine, the next you get hurt, go and consult the lollipop, see what good it gives you while your teeth rot~"

She pouted. "Hey, hey, I take offense to that!" she protested, but she knew that he wasn't serious and it didn't actually really bother her. She could kind of see it. She wasn't even that bad most of the time, though -- she managed to get through everyday life just fine, but in situations like these -- running outside on a snowy, icy stone path while soaking wet to begin with -- she was definitely not what most people could consider graceful. "You're so mean," she said, sighing like she really meant it... but she didn't, not even a little. Nurse Avery really was her favourite, not that there were particularly many to choose from. "You're going to need therapy for years to come." She imitated the nurse in the future, lying on one of those bench... seat... couch-ish things in a therapist's office. "No matter what I do, I keep hearing the bells! Nooo, not the bells!" She laughed. That'd be a sight to see... but man, she would feel truly bad if something like this ever happened to him in the future. She hoped she wasn't legitimately nightmare-inducing. "A walkie-talkie would be good. We'd be like, super spies! Saving the world... from scrapes and bruises." That was mainly what she was in here for, though she was sure they had much worse injuries and such.
Part of Sandra thought that Nurse Avery found this way too funny, but then on the other hand... well, it was hilarious, and she laughed along just as hard, still dealing with giggles by the time he'd started speaking. "Roooolling around in the hallways. Maybe down stairs! Bowling people over!" Then there would be plenty of students in the medical wing for sure, and it'd be all her fault. Oh, jeez. Sandra wasn't too sure this would be a good idea in the slightest. "Shhh, I do not snore!" She was pretty sure she didn't, anyway. She fell asleep often enough in public (well, in class and the like) that she was sure someone would have pointed it out to her at this point. Mostly everyone just let her be at this point, unless she was actually doing something to bother them -- like snoring!
She slipped the towel around her shoulders and flipped out her hair so that it was on top of it rather than getting this t-shirt damp now too. It was definitely nicer to be in warm, dry clothes, but she figured that if he hadn't been nice enough to do this... well, she'd probably just have to deal with it. She could have tried to siphon the water out of her own clothing with her powers or something, but she had never actually tried that before and she wasn't sure how well it worked if they were just damp now rather than actually soaked completely through. (It had felt like they were soaked through, though...) "You're so not going to corrupt me," she told him very frankly. People, her friends, had tried, to no avail! With Sandra, it was very much take it or leave it. Her friends obviously took it -- many people didn't bother. She knew that she wasn't universally liked or anything silly like that. Then she laughed, though. "Nobody is going to believe that I have a boyfriend to drop off clothes for me!" It was true, it would be too weird. Sandra had definitely never had a boyfriend before. Plus if word got around of such a thing and Matthew found it (somehow) there would be way too much explaining to do. Even so, Devin came to mind for some reason, and she could feel herself growing a bit warm even as she pushed on, "You think people would believe if I borrowed them from a random friend?" Phew, just change the topic, Sandra.
She definitely didn't want to see anybody die in front of her, let alone somebody she liked as much as Nurse Avery. Was it weird to consider the school's nurse her friend? Maybe. Sandra just liked to be friends with everyone! "The lollipop's not my favourite nurse," she told him, giggling before putting on her best straight face (which didn't work very well, but she tried) to continue, "but maybe it should be since you're always so mean." At least she'd suppressed another loud squeak or something when he'd poked her this time. Okay, so she had to get him back two or three times now. She'd remember!

When Sandra pouted, Avery did too, as if he was mocking her. He was very childish person (despite being in his late 20's) and pretty sure that his mental age was less than Sandra's current age; though, after a few seconds of contemplating, he was sure it was less. Maybe a fourth of it. "Can't help the truth~" he teased, sticking out his tongue. Yeesh, he really needed to start acting his age. Avery broke out into smile when she called him mean and patted her on the head. "And yet you still love me~" He was too used to joking around with his patients, but hey, it beat being the boring, mentally draining, 'standard procedure and that's it' kind of guy. Ugh, he'd literally die from being that stoic. "Ooh, you evil, evil little girl!" he exclaimed, narrowing his eyes at her. "But at least when I die, I know who first to haunt~" And he smirked, his eyes twinkling mischievously. If he ever really did come back as a ghost, he pitied the person he haunted. Avery would probably be more annoying than scary, to be honest. "We might be the most clumsiest spies to ever grace this earth," he said, somewhat horrified. "I think we'd be the ones handing them out than actually saving them!"
At this point, Avery's laughter could not be contained anymore, and he had one hand on Sandra's shoulder to steady himself as she captured another hilarious image. "And it's much more efficient getting to classes! People will now know to avoid you and your proneness to accidents!" Okay, he really had no position to judge because he was just as clumsy, but Avery enjoyed teasing Sandra about it (even though it did sound a bit sadistic). And besides, if that were to really happen, he won't be so bored in the medical wing anymore and actually have wounds to patch up...okay, he really was a sadistic person. "Okay, how about this: drooling all over the desks?" Avery suggested, smirking. Ah, it was just his life mission to tease Sandra as if she was his own little sister.
Avery went back to the bed where Sandra had changed and poked her wet clothes. He picked up her shirt with two fingers, an arm's length away, as if it was some dangerous infection that was easily spread--and laughed. "I think it's dead," he said playfully and he picked up her jeans in the same matter, bringing it over to the sink he had in his office. "Unfortunately, my powers are on the same level as yours, so...yeah. If you don't know how to do it, good chance I don't either," Avery chirped brightly, looking at pile of clothes and back at Sandra. He hadn't attended the Academy for college; rather, he went to a nearby one and studied medicine. He was also a slacker in his high school days so that probably didn't help the situation either. "Want to challenge that?" he asked and smirked, his eyebrows raised. One whole day with Avery would definitely be an interesting experience for the both of them. Sandra was very...innocent, as the nurse liked to put it. Naive, oblivious, the baby bunnies kind of adorable. It'd definitely be interesting to see a corrupted Sandra though...in that case, they'd probably be too alike if that were to ever happen. "True," he said, perhaps agreeing too much. But hey, he wasn't going to say anything. Well, that is until Avery saw the blush creeping on her cheeks. His lips quickly formed into a smirk and he jumped up as if he found some good gossip. "Oooh~ Sandra is thinking about someone special~" And he continued to nudge her, his eyes sparkling in both amusement and curiosity. Oh man, the feeling he had right now was mixed between that of a teenage girl who just found out a big secret from her best friend, and that of a conflicted father. "That's...probably the best option," Avery said, realizing he was probably making it harder than he needed it to. Duh, a friend. Sandra had a lot of them. Hopefully she just didn't slip the name 'Avery' as her explanation.
Avery smirked a bit, his act crumbling to the ground, and he poked of Sandra's cheeks. "You women are always so sensitive~" he sighed, feigning exasperation. It wasn't for from the truth, he could say that much with his experience. He opened his desk drawer and pulled out a lollipop, and just to spite her, Avery held it out for a split second before taking off the wrapper and shoving it in his mouth. "Well the lollipop doesn't approve~" And he stuck his tongue out at her. Heh. Avery's lollipops would never betray him like that.

Sandra gave him a doubtful look. "Just because it's true doesn't mean you have to say it," she pointed out, but she laughed when he stuck out his tongue. Nurse Avery was pretty much a kid, she was pretty sure. If people thought she was bad, she wondered what they thought of him. "And do I? Do I?" she asked, even though she knew that she was terrible at lying, especially about things like that. She had way too much love for everyone she'd ever met, honestly... or okay, maybe not everyone, but a goodly amount of them! "I guess I do..." She made her voice as skeptical as it would go, though. "Good luck haunting me!" she said, giving him her best evil cackle... but it sounded more shrill than evil. At least she tried. She laughed, for real this time (not in an attempted evil way, that was) at the expression on his face. "Yeah... but at least we could like, hand them out to bad guys!" She was very determined to make this happen now. She just had to find some cheap walkie talkies somewhere, and she'd be set.
She tried not to move too much since he was sort of leaning on her to keep himself up, but it was hard when she was laughing so hard too. She could imagine it now, just wearing a constant pillow suit. She'd never need to wear silly things like jeans! What if she just wore her pyjamas underneath since no one would really see through all those fluffy pillows anyway? There'd never be any need for a bed, either! Oh man... oh man, this was shaping up to be kind of wonderful, honestly. "Yes, and then I'll never be late!" She giggled. "Unless I fall asleep," she added as an afterthought. "Which might happen if the pillows are really comfy. Just fall asleep whlie rolling along." She kept her face serious for all of about half a second, then cracked up again. "Drooling on the desks... That's much more possible." She grinned kind of sheepishly. Hey, she couldn't control what the heck she did in her sleep. She hoped she wouldn't actually slobber all over the place. Ew.
If she interpreted right, that meant that he probably hadn't attended college at the Academy. This was new information about the nurse that she had never known before, and she took it without much complaint. "That's okay! Do you have a plastic bag or anything? I figure I'll just take them home and throw them in the laundry," she said, not bothered (much) by the prospect of carrying around wet clothes all day. Hey, it was her fault in the first place. "Oh, and I'll wash your stuff before I bring it back, too," she added, looking down at the sort of ridiculously baggy shirt. That would just be common courtesy, she was sure, though he might want to wash them himself again after. Laundry was at least on the small list of skills Sandra did have.
Sandra didn't even think twice before saying, "Pfft... Bring it on!" People had tried and failed to do such things before -- Jensen in particular, she was pretty sure, didn't understand the way Sandra's mind worked at all, and they were best friends! There were more cases, she was pretty sure. Her mind worked in such a way that she didn't even know when people were trying to do something like that in the first place. Nobody ever told her these things straight-up. "Am not," she said back, the lie coming out in much the same childish voice she always used when saying things like these. "A friend is probably good, though," she continued, and she would have stopped there but his nudging urged her to ramble on for some reason, "Yeah... yeah, could be Gale or Robert or Ashton or James or Phillip or Devin --" She stopped, going red, hoping this wasn't obvious. Stupid, stupid, stupid, she didn't even know why she'd said his name, she'd just been rattling off her male friends or something stupid like that. "Or I could tell everyone they're my brother's or something, I guess that's legit too," she concluded in a kind of rush. Sandra groaned internally. She should really not be accidentally spilling things to random people like Nurse Avery -- even though she did consider him a friend and she did like him quite a lot, actually, despite the fact that he was a faculty member and she was just some kid who wound up getting hurt too often.
Honestly, she wasn't sure that she would consider herself particularly sensitive... she didn't think, at least. She had her insecurities like everyone else, she'd guess -- they just didn't really come up often, and she didn't dwell on things like that. Sensitive she wasn't really, though! "We are not, you're just insensitive," she sang back to him, giggling a little. She couldn't even deny, though, that she got stupidly excited when he got a lollipop from his desk for her -- only to watch him pop it into his own mouth. "Nurse Averyyyy," she whined. That was so mean! Sandra pouted.

"But if I didn't, that'd be like..." Avery contemplated for a second, his face scrunching up slightly as he thought about it. What would it be like? Like not telling a close friend their butt looked big in a dress, or that they had food stuck in their teeth or something? Meh, Avery was an honest person; though he was teasing Sandra, it wasn't too far off from the truth. And so he let his sentence trail off, now smiling at her. Best not say anything else, he guessed, or he'd probably end up saying something that could be misinterpreted negatively--though he was sure Sandra wouldn't, but just to be safe. Avery's eyes widened childishly as she questioned her love for him, but later smirked when she admitted it. It was skeptic, but he'll take it! Avery pinched her cheeks, cooing with a smirk, "Of course you do, no one can resist~" And that was actually true, because if you did resist, he'd actually go ten times stronger toward you--it'd just be best to give up before it got worse. "Bruises and scratches don't seem to be effective," Avery pointed out, his face amused. Oh noes! A paper cut! Flee~ <-- what he imagined.
The constant laughing made his stomach hurt, small tears running down his cheeks due to the pure hilarity. He faintly wondered what would happen if someone decided to walk in at this moment--they'd probably think they were high on laughing gas or something. "Wouldn't that be a sight to see," he laughed. "If I see a lump of white fluffiness, I'll be sure it's you." Though he stopped for a moment, thinking about it, then he slowly narrowed his eyes. "Great, due to this conversation I think I'm going to associate anything white and fluffy with your face--as if I haven't seen you enough!" he said teasingly, though he ruffled her damp hair once again. Avery was a people person, so he didn't mind seeing Sandra on a daily basis. If anything, she was his source of entertainment. "Ah, that easily be solved. Just add on some sponges and you'll be good to go!" These two really had some active imaginations.
Though Avery was very guarded when it came to his past, there were times where it just slipped. Like now, but lately he hadn't been dwelling over the fact that he hadn't gone to the Academy for college. Besides, it wasn't like Sandra was going to use that fact against him. "Yup!" he exclaimed, pulling one out from his desk. Man, Avery really had everything in there. He got up from his stool and over to the sink, where he wrung out Sandra's clothes briefly. A stream of water shot out and he laughed, glancing over his shoulder at her. "Someone had a little too much fun~" Avery could only imagine. Sandra was like a little kid. He briefly wondered, though, how much water she was dripping down the halls...oh well, some unfortunate soul who happened to be innocently walking down the halls would find out eventually. Maybe Sandra unintentionally gave Avery another patient for the afternoon. "Thanks!" he replied cheerfully. Even though Avery was a grown man he could not do laundry for the life of him. All the knobs, settings--too confusing. "Just don't turn my clothes pink or something." Ha! As if he hadn't done that himself already.
Avery raised his eyebrows at Sandra, smirking, as she accepted his challenge. Though he didn't say anything else, he began thinking of what she would have in store the next time they saw each other. Operation: Corrupted Sandra was now in the thinking process! Oh, Avery felt bad for her brother. "Yeah, huh!" Avery shot back just as childishly. If he ever had to babysit a child, he felt bad for the parents. Who would be babysitting who? "Oh ho ho~!" he sang, laughing at Sandra's now red face. He pinched both of cheeks, his face now contouring into a proud/gossipy parent. "DEVIN. DEVIN. Sandra has a crush~ " Avery exclaimed excitedly, his voice echoing, then moved his stool hastily to be right next to hers, rather than across. "Aww, this is too cute. Look at those cheeks," he cooed, repeatedly poking at Sandra's cheeks. Ah, young love. "Uh-huh~" Avery said, barely paying attention to what she had said. He was way too focused in th previous topic, so this was like, stale bread to him. Though it probably wasn't intentional, Avery found it cute the way Sandra was sort of confiding in him. Made him feel all special inside (<3).
"Am not~" he sang back, but that was well over 100% true. Not like he meant to, it just spilled out like word vomit. Avery liked to see it as him being honest. Nothing wrong with that, right? "What?" he asked innocently, moving the lollipop to the side of his mouth so he could speak properly. Avery leaned in closer, his eyes still wide with innocence, and flicked her lightly on the forehead. "Your pout doesn't work on me anymore~" He smirked and took the lollipop from his mouth and handed it to her. "There~"

Sandra waited patiently for him to finish his sentence, but after a few seconds when he still hadn't, she just shrugged it off, returning his smile easily. "Honesty's not always the best policy," she chided, but actually for the most part Sandra believed that it was. Then again, there were exceptions to every rule. She did know that. She wondered if there were exceptions to the rule that there were exceptions to every rule. That would be funny. "I could if I tried! I just feel for you," she sang at him, giggling. That was a lie, though. Sandra really did like him. She liked most everyone -- though admittedly she liked some people a bit more, and she did like Nurse Avery quite a bit -- her nurse-friend, or something like that! "I guess not. Maybe if we spray them with antiseptic after we cut them. That stuff stings!" she said, making a face again just at the thought of hte stuff.
She had a huge stitch in her side from laughing, but she couldn't stop all the same. "I'll be the cutest lump of white fluffiness!" she told him, her laughing fit subsiding into soft(er) giggles, not that she ever actually stopped completely. "Are... are you okay?" she asked through more giggling, noting the tears of laughter on his face. Nurse Avery was hysterical. "Hey!" Sandra laughed and elbowed him lightly. "You love my face," she scoffed as if she didn't believe him. Jeez, she wasn't sure it was such a good thing if people started going around associating everything white and fluffy with her face, though. That made it sound like she had a long, white beard or something. Then again, fluffy was a cute word, so she'd just take it as a compliment, probably. Sandra tried to do that with most everything that came her way. The girl was kind-hearted but pretty strong in that sense -- people were so not knocking her down. She laughed at his next suggestion. "Like on my face? Ahhh," she sighed, shaking her head, "but so itchy! Let's try something else instead." Sponge really was a pretty weird, scratchy material.
"Oh, you don't have to do that, I can --" she started, but Nurse Avery had already started wringing out her clothes for her, and she did laugh a little when a stream of water shot out. Oh, darn, if she'd just noticed it coming she could have probably done something cool with it. Sandra wouldn't say that she used her powers on any kind of a daily basis, but they were definitely nice to have around. She liked to do tricks and the like, at least... but she definitely wasn't particularly skilled. "I did have fun!" she agreed, grinning at the mild teasing. "You should see the other guy." She flexed her non-existent muscles as she said this, putting on a falsely tough voice as if suggesting than it had been a real fight and she'd totally beaten the other guy up. Nah, there had been a bunch of them, and she was pretty sure they'd all gotten totally equally thrashed in this snowball fight. "Thanks," she said, taking the clothes from him once he had finished with them. She shoved them into the bag and dropped it at her side. Sandra had no real intention of leaving just yet -- the alternative to staying here was just going back to Math class, and while her teacher probably couldn't say much this time, she didn't really want to have to deal with her... or numbers. "I'll try not to. They might actually look better pink!" she joked.
Her eyes widened when his voice rose, and her face only went more red. "The whole school can hear you!" she squeaked, even though she knew it wasn't true -- probably a fair amount of the medical wing could though, even though there hadn't been anyone around that she could see. For all she knew, Devin was hiding somewhere! Oh, no. "Shhhh, I do not," she said, crossing her arms over her chest as if upset with him, though she was rarely if ever upset with people, especially her friends. She so did not have a crush on Devin, though, pfft... pfft. Pfft! Sandra tried to fend off his poking as best she could, but it was hard to, and admittedly (even though she did not have a crush on her friend, thanks) she thought again of Devin. It really was lucky he wasn't here. She was pretty sure they'd both had enough of awkward moments to last a lifetime... or at least a couple of years. "I don't," she told him stubbornly, before she made her voice just a little softer. "But don't tell anyone." She paused. "Even though I don't. At all. Nope." Nurse Avery probably even knew Devin, too, she realized, more mortified. The boy was definitely clumsy enough to wind up in here just as often as she did -- if not more.
She wrinkled her nose and retreated a little, holding out her hands to stop it from touching her. "Ewww, I don't want it now!" she said, but she giggled a little. (It was true though, she really did not want it, Nurse Avery.) "You're mean." She pouted again. Ugh, maybe not exactly. If Nurse Avery was mean, then she was mean too, and that just did not make sense in the least.

"White lies never hurt anyone," he agreed, though he poked Sandra's nose after realizing what he was implying. "I shouldn't be teaching you kids that." Normally Avery would've let it go because he knew how corrupted high school kids already were--but the thing was, Sandra wasn't like. Rather, she reminded him of an innocent little bunny, oblivious to the corruptions of the world. He didn't want to be the one to spoil that, no matter how impossible it already was. "You should know," Avery pointed out, smirking. He faintly wondered how many bottles of antiseptic he used on Sandra alone and that thought alone amused him. "Just make sure you actually spray it at them. I imagine antiseptic isn't so great for the eyes."
At least laughing really hard had its benefits. It was equivalent to twenty-five sit up, running a hundred meters, and jumping rope for ten minutes. Bet you didn't know that, huh? The joys of being a doctor nurse. You learned shit you don't need. "That is true~!" he whole-heartedly agreed, patting Sandra on the head as his own laughter settled down. With his sleeve he wiped away the tears, laughing again as Sandra asked Avery if he was okay. Like hell he was. "No, but I'm pretty sure I just got a six pack from this!" Avery began poking his stomach, then looked up with a smirk as he poked Sandra's. He couldn't help it--the squeak she let out every time Avery poked her was adorable; especially on how she tries to get revenge. "I see it everyday; I have no choice~" he cooed, pinching both of her cheeks. Avery remembered becoming both bewildered and fond of the high school water as her visits became frequent. Not that he got annoyed or anything, but it amused him that someone was so clumsy. "Sham-wow, or something, I don't know!" he laughed. "So picky~"
Well, this was fun. Wringing out the water of his patient's clothes, that is. "You're lucky to have me, you know that?" he told her, side glancing with a grin. Avery had the image of a wet Sandra dripping in her math class with scratches all over her face, shivering from the cold. Now that he thought about it, Sandra was the first person he actually gave his clothes to. Granted, in the past he didn't have to...oh, Sandra. He poked her "muscles," laughing as he shook his head. "Oh, yeah, I totally feel bad for that guy. Because, y'know, you're as capable of mass destruction as a bunny." He shot her a serious look, though it was a cute thought. The pink nose, floppy ears. Uh-huh, it's been decided! He's going out to buy some bunny ears. Maybe some whiskers while he was at it. Avery paused for a moment, narrowing his eyes when she said she'd tried not to. Avery wouldn't get mad if she did, though. "I don't think pink is my color~"
Telling Avery to do something was like encouraging him to do the exact opposite. You just can't expect him to be quiet about this! "I DON'T CARE," he exclaimed, his eyes widening just as Sandra's did. God, Avery was really just like a little school girl. Maybe this is why so many of his patients never confided in him. He got a little...too excited. "Well, if you don't have a crush on him, who would I tell?" Avery asked, confused with what Sandra was saying. If she didn't like Devin, then that was that. But then she was implying she did with the "don't tell anyone." Avery grinned devilishly, nudging Sandra repeatedly. "Somehow I don't believe you~ so it'd be okay if I told Devin we were talking about him the next time I see him?" Avery provoked further, smirking/squealing in delight. Oh, he just loved messing with his patients. And he also loved playing matchmaker!
Avery shrugged, putting the lollipop back into his mouth with a childish look on his face, as if taunting her he had a lollipop and he didn't. It wasn't far off. "Am not~" Avery shot back, though he sighed, narrowing his eyes at her pout, then rummaged through his desk again. "Here." Avery tossed her a lollipop. "By the way, don't you have class or something?" Avery asked, sticking a band aid on her forehead. Not that he minded the company, but he didn't want to hear any of it when said teacher scolded him for keeping Sandra in for too long.
