SCROLL DOWN FOR THE FORM.
Because it's very hard to tell when people really do plan to return from their absences sometimes, I've decided to put in place some rules effective immediately for all up and coming absences. These aren't here to scare people off but instead to make sure that we don't delete people who really were planning to return.
I do apologise that these rules are a bit strict but I feel they're necessary to make sure we don't keep dead members' accounts around just because they posted an absence a month ago and never returned.
1. There is now a form for absences. Please use it, it will help in our judgement of whether to exclude you from our monthly Activity Checks or not. If you don't use it and post the date then you won't be exempt at all.
2. Absence threads older than a month with no confirmed date of return will be moved. This is to prevent confusion and clutter of the board.
3. When you return, we'd appreciate that you posted in your own absence thread to let us know. Again, this is to help us know which threads are still in effect.
4. Only post a return date if you're sure you'll be back then (ie, if it's a confirmed thing).
5. The admins do reserve the right to judge whether the absence is severe enough to exclude you from an Activity Check. Deaths or no computer are serious, a lot of homework is not as it usually doesn't keep you from the computer for two weeks at a time (the length of any given Check).
6. If your absence thread is posted in the middle of a Check (they're usually from the first to the fourteenth of a month) then you will rarely be exempt seeing as you were obviously able to get on enough to post an absence and thus could have posted in the Check as well.
[blockquote][blockquote]NAME: CHARACTERS: - Character One Name - Character Two Name - Repeat As Necessary DEPARTURE DATE: Month, Day. (ie August 15th) RETURN DATE: If you do not know it, you may put N/A, such as if this is just a bit of an apology/warning for inactivity. However, if you will not be able to get on a computer until X days have passed, a date might exempt you from the Activity Check.

Explain as much or as little as you wish, really. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
