Wearing This "Yes, Jordan… I'm fine," a 5'7 sixteen year old scowled into her phone as she moved across the campus grounds. The sixteen year old's sparkling light blue eyes rolled once again as she listened to her eldest brother through her phone. Her left arm were filled with books, which might be a good thing cause she looked about ready to strange her brother through the phone. Her ripped jeans hugged her legs while her black loose t-shirt was slightly off centre but barely noticeable because of her jean's jacket. Her light blue tealish converses carried the young girl across the grass covered academy grounds. "JORDAN!" Amber Savannah James Ambrose nearly screamed into the phone, successfully cutting off her older brother's useless rant, "Chill out! I'm fine, alright… Geez! I'm gone for 40 minutes and you immediately call to check on me… Look, I'm not a kid anymore… I'm a full-grown lady, who can damn-well take care of herself…" Amber groaned as her brother began up again. Spotting a tree, Amber moved to sit down as she listened to her brother rant on and on. Leaning against the tree, Amber rolled her eyes as her brother ranted. Her eyes lit up as she got an idea before rummaging through her bag. Smirking, Amber pulled out a piece of loose paper before crumpling. "Jor-Jord-Jordan… You-you're breaking up… Te-text you later!" Amber crumpled the paper beside the microphone before hanging up. With a long sigh, the sixteen year old ran a hand through her light brown hair, pushing it out of her face. Shoving her phone into her jean's pocket and picking up one of her text books, Amber pulled out a pad of paper and a pen. "Well, I guess I better start… seeing as I came in the middle of the school year…" Amber sighed at that thought before focusing back on her textbook. 'History' Amber smirked, 'Cool…' Amber began flipping through the large book, her light blue eyes scanning the pages. She barely registered that someone was watching her… or sitting beside her….

During her college years, Nell had become exceptionally skilled in the area of multitasking. Even more so adept at squeezing in as much homework as she could during the day. Lunchtime meant finishing up a paper so that she didn't have to work on it that night, because work definitely was not the place to be doing so. Luckily, that day, her evening would be free. She'd been taking less hours considering the end of the year usually got hectic, and she was already very busy.
As she headed outside, she placed her hat back on her head. She'd heard that it was poor manners to wear it indoors, and so she respected that though she did not necessarily understood. September meant cooler temperatures, and so she wore her jeans, Doc Martens and a nice shirt. Rarely did she wear her hair down, but usually in the cooler weather she felt the need. Luckily the casino was lenient about the tattoo she had on the back of her neck, small as it was, and she didn't always have to put her hair down.
Taking out her phone from her pocket as it buzzed, she didn't realize that someone was in front of her until she heard the voice. and she balked. Grinning she said, "Wow, pretty good timing, almost bowled you over for ten points." Everyone liked a good bowling joke, right? In any case, she thought back to what she heard said, and it piqued her curiosity. The brunette slipped the phone back into her pocket and said, "You're really young." Realizing that wasn't the best way to start a conversation, she amended, "You said you came in the middle of the school year. What grade are you in?"
Friendly as she was, even now smiling with a shining look in her eyes, she didn't have the social graces and mannerisms that people learned from a very young age. It could cause for some awkward situation, that was for sure.

For a girl, who grew up around boys, Amber always considered herself short. Her brothers even called her Invisible, cause she could sneak up on people, when she wasn't falling on her face. Amber's head snapped upward so fast she might have decapitated herself when she heard someone speak up.
"Wow, pretty good timing, almost bowled you over for ten points." Amber chuckled lightly, she didn't often make herself noticeable to most people. She often hung around with her twin brothers, so everyone was usually scared of him and avoided Amber at all costs. Amber smiled as the girl called her young. Amber studied the girl in front of her. She had a feeling this girl couldn't be much older then she was. She looked like a teenager, although looks could be deceiving. Her oldest brother looked at least 19, when in reality he was 24.
"Yeah, I just got here... Tenth grade... and you?" Amber asked her, still sitting on the ground, her books spread around her. Amber shook her head, immediately annoyed she was being rude.
"Oh, Sorry, I'm being rude, I'm Amber, by the way..." The young girl smiled brightly up at the other girl. Amber was quite impressed someone actually stopped to talk to her, but then again, her twin wasn't coming until later and she wanted to make some friends.

Nell never really thought about it, but the fact that she wore a wedding ring on her finger may have come as a surprise to the people who immediately assume she was in high school. Though no one had outright told her that before, her reaction would have been distressed. She didn't want to look like a high schooler, her Napoleon complex spoke against it in spades. She was already self-conscious enough. Ridley had commented on how young she had looked, but since the words "high schooler" hadn't been spoken, Nell did not feel at all offended.
Tenth grade? That's so adorable. She couldn't really help the internal reaction she had to the younger high schoolers she interacted with. Luckily, the woman avoided treating them like little children. That was simply disrespectful. She scratched the back of her head at the question. "Oh, I'm in college, actually. Junior." Instead of outright stating her element, she closed her hand before flicking her wrist and present the girl with a tulip. One of Nell's favorite, though she didn't like to ever choose favorites.
A grin and a nod, she said, "I'm Nell." Sometimes with introductions, back when she had returned from New York and started her naturalization in Canada, she wondered just how many people would connect her to her infamous history. How many people knew? Now that she was married, bearing the Dale name instead of her own fabricated one, she realized it may be less likely. However, Nell certainly was not common. In any case, she figured that this girl may be from Canada, while it was rather obvious Nell was from New York City because of her affected tones. "You are already overloaded with work, huh?" she commented, judging by the books around her. She pulled up her jeans and squatted down. "You know in college they don't have a lot of book work, you're really focused on your element." She wore her usual lop-sided grin then. "Not to make you jealous or anything."

Amber smiled lightly before shaking her head,"Oh, I'm being rude, you can sit down if you want..." Amber slid over slightly, moving her books over with her. She felt like such a child at the moment. She felt strange, being here by herself. Usually her brothers were around but not this time.
Amber's face flushed a beet red as the girl spoke about being in college. 'Yeap, defiantly older then me...' Amber immediately bit her lip before speaking up,[colorSkyblue]]"I'm-I'm so so sorry... I didn't mean to... I just-"[/color] 'Amber!' Amber bit her lip, stopping her useless rant,'You're acting like a idiot...' She fidgeted for a moment before taking the tulip the girl had pulled from behind her back.
"Nice to meet you, Nell... Sorry aout that whole..." Amber bit her lip, studying the tulip before smiling lightly at the older girl. She felt a little better, but she still felt like a idiot for thinking such a thought.
"Lucky.... I so wish I was done high school..." Amber spoke, looking down at all of her books. She rolled her eyes, annoyed with them. Ok, yes, she loved to read, but this was too much. She looked up at Nell, smiling lightly.

She shook her head. "You're not being rude!" Nell felt like she had to explain that first and foremost. She didn't want this girl to think anything of the sort. And she sat down, placing her bag next to her and welcoming the reprieve from carrying around that weight.
Nell blinked when she looked over and saw the young sandy-haired girl get flustered. Her eyebrows lifted and crinkled together, her lips looking as though she were trying not to laugh or smile at her. "It's okay, mija," she said, the pet name coming naturally. "I mean, I look pretty young, right? I think in the future I'll be happy about that." The only reason she minded now was because she wanted to feel like a woman when it came to Josh, not a little girl. That was her only concern, and it really wasn't too healthy to be putting all her self-worth into what her husband thought of her.
She waved her hand as Amber continued to apologize, her overall demeanor lax. She stretched out her legs and rubbed them with her hands in distracted gestures, never really able to stay still. Nell laughed, sounding like a breeze. "I'm going to sound like an old person and say embrace it while you can." High school hadn't been too fun for her. Half of it had been spent in a war for her blood, and the other half had been her preparing for a trial that almost landed her in prison. "Once you're in college, you're on your own. And instead of homework, it's pretty much papers all the time."
Nell picked up a paper and looked down at the work on it. She'd only spent a year in high school, which meant four crammed into it. That hadn't really been too fun for her, not at all. "What element are you in?" the graduate questioned her out of curiosity.
