Date, date, date... There was a sing song tune resounding in her head as she sat in the car, fidgeting in her seat. It was difficult to sit still when she was excited, her constant talking probably driving her mother up the wall. If it did, Achelle did not say anything, merely smiled as her eyes remained focused on the road. Carson wanted so bad to drive--in fact, she had her own car waiting in the driveway back at the house--but since she still had her learners there was no way her parents would let her drive anywhere yet. So tonight Achelle took her daughter to the movie theater instead to make things easier. The woman was always fairly doting on her kids. "So how many dates have you two been on?" She finally asked. The girl turned to look at her mom with a smile. "Ah, quite a few! He's a nice guy, really funny. He goes to the Academy too, but he's a year older than I am. But that's okay, I like older guys." Carson rambled, all the while using dramatic hand motions before stuffing her hands between her legs and glancing out of the window with a little bounce. Achelle chuckled and didn't say much other than, "Good! I hope you two have fun tonight."
The car pulled into the movie theater parking lot, the ticket line in the building a bit shorter than anticipated. She looked forward to finding another movie to watch and doing so with Pacey. He really was a nice guy and she liked that he could make her laugh. He didn't seem to mind her personality and affection, which she appreciated. Carson never thought much on how others felt about her but that did not mean she was always ungrateful for those who were her friends. She stepped out of the nice BMW with a nice pair of slender jeans, furry boots, and a nice dressy top with a small jacket. The days weren't nearly as cold but the evenings definitely had a chill. She wrapped her arms around herself and bounced around on her tip toes before catching sight of her date. Her arm untangled itself from the other and waved him over. "Hey Pace! How are ya?" She greeted with an all too cheerful tone. "You ready? I haven't really thought of any movie I wanna see, but I'm sure we'll find something. Just...no blood and gore and I'll be okay." Her nose wrinkled a bit at the thought; she didn't mind action movies but for her there was such a thing as too much blood and flying body parts.
There was not an ounce of hesitation as the girl reached down and grabbed Pacey's hand, offering it an affectionate squeeze before pulling him inside towards the ticket line. The warmth of the theater was welcoming as she shed her jacket and slung it over her arm. "I think I'm gonna want snacks and stuff. How about you? I can..." She yanked at her purse and started finding her wallet. "I can pay for some stuff. Go dutch?" She asked, shaking the wallet back and forth a little with a small smile. Dependent, yes, but Carson liked spending money so it was not much of an issue to pay for things.

Pacey couldn't say that he had been on many dates in his life, but there had been the odd few here and there, and he generally enjoyed them. Well, really, Pacey was pretty much a dude who liked girls maybe a little more than he should have, but his intentions were pretty innocent, honestly -- and his dates as of yet had rarely amounted to very much, so he didn't think there was any harm done at all. Plus, dates were fun! He typically had no qualms about spending money, so it was always nice to take a girl out and have a good time... and alright, it also helped that he was really very okay with shopping, not that this was much of a date, but girls seemed to like that he was more than willing to hit up the mall.) That evening he was going out with Carson, though, and truth be told, it was a pretty exciting prospect, because Carson was pretty and fun and kind of adorable, and Pacey enjoyed movies and what-not too. Alright, there wasn't much he could say in the way of explanation, but that was perfectly alright.
He had just come from the school, and now he got out of his car -- Carly, he'd named her -- giving her the usual nice pat on the wheel (because he was a dork like htat, alright) before heading for the actual movie theatre. He wasn't a bad driver at all, but his parking skills mostly lacked experience, so he tended to pick the spots that were furthest away from everyone else. That was fine -- he didn't mind walking too much. Carson was just a little bit away and he smiled and waved in return once he saw her. "Hey! You look great," he said with a grin, always shameless with the compliments, but he wasn't lying -- she made that outfit work. Pacey knew a thing or two about clothes -- just kind of sort of. "Yeah, no gore," he agreed with a nod. "No horror. Unless you really want to hear me scream like a little girl." He was exaggerating -- he actually didn't think horror films were that scary that he'd need to suddenly revert to being a four-year-old child, but they just weren't that good, honestly. There were many other things he'd rather watch.
"Oh, what about that... new thing? That Disney movie!" he said, looking around in an attempt to find the movie poster up on a wall somewhere. He didn't find one. Damn. He had a feeling there was one out, though -- Pacey usually kept up to date on these things, hm. Disney was always a safe bet, and Pace thought the movies were cute -- but he'd watch most anything, now that he thought about it. It was always, however, the lady's choice -- he really wasn't fussed. He did look down at their hands when she took it, and smiled, not making any complaint -- no way. He'd probably have to be insane to do that. "Yeah, we can just split it," he said, agreeing readily, though he would have certainly offered to pay for everything if she hadn't brought it up first. If there was one thing he'd learnt on his few dates over the years, it was that he should never question a girl when she started establishing payment and things like that. That was a big no-no. "Or I'll grab the tickets, you can get us snacks? Whatever you want," he said, flashing a grin, making his way toward the ticket booth. There were electronic ones along the walls too, of course, but there was no line at the booth and he wasn't one of the socially awkward types who'd do anything to avoid talking to the ticket salesperson. "I guess we need to actually pick a movie to watch first, though... What do you think?" He scanned the list.

Okay, so Pacey's complement made her giggle and turn a faint shade of pink, small fingers covering her mouth a little. It was nice to hear that she looked good, especially from the person she had dressed up to see. Sure they were just little dates, nothing big, but she liked to dress up and look nice if she could to impress. Apparently it paid off. "You look great too, handsome!" She replied cheerfully, looking him up and down with a bright smile. He was one of the few guys that knew how to dress. It was refreshing. He made for a good shopping partner, that's for sure. "Gore is so unnecessary! Or maybe it's just me...but can't you enjoy a good action movie without blood flying everywhere?" With all the violence in the world, having a time to get away from that was a nice reprieve. Then again everyone was different. That's why they had different types of movies, right? Right. She tried to refrain from laughing but fell short. "I know I can't handle men crying, so listening to them scream like little girls might rank up there somewhere. I would say I'd protect you but I'd probably be hiding in your shoulder or something."
She was not afraid of many things. Trying something new was not a huge deal, but a lot of horror and gore were usually supernatural and that just creeped her out. Carson frowned thoughtfully and tilted her head. "That made absolutely no sense," She pointed out before chuckling. "Do you know how many Disney movies there are? Like a quarter of a million. You're gonna have to give me some details." Her fingers waggled in his direction as though said details could simply be handed over in a box. If only life were that easy. She nodded enthusiastically, then allowed her smile to return when he made a suggestion she thought could work. "Sounds like a good idea. What do you want? I can get you anything. And do you wanna split a drink or get your own? Everyone's different..." Whatever he wanted was fine of course; she was not easily offended by the simple things.
Before actually walking off towards the snacks, the girl halted in her tracks and stared up at the list of movies. So many options...Carson sighed. "Ugh, I don't know. Why don't you surprise me?" She looked over at him with a trusting half smile before wandering over to the snack bar, leaving him to make the choice. Her trust in people was nearly boundless. People considered it to be dangerous at times but so far she did not have too many problems with it. After gathering up what they needed--and possibly chatting with the girl behind the counter rather openly about jobs--she found Pacey again with arms full. "Think I got us enough?"

Pacey just grinned -- he did indeed pride himself a little bit on being able to dress well. It was a skill that few guys had -- but that was alright, to each their own. He wasn't some kind of clothing elitist or anything like other people, after all. Carson did genuinely look good, though. "Yeah? Then we must look great together!" he said, smiling, glad that she seemed so happy. Then again, Carson always seemed to be this bubbly and happy and all over the place -- it was always good to pick him up, hanging out with someone so lovely. Of course, Pacey hadn't been unhappy or anything, but Carson just had one of those bright and sunshiny personalities that he could appreciate. "Nah, you're right, it's pretty unnecessary," he agreed. "No gore! Most of the best action movies are all like, running anyway. No blood needed." Pacey wasn't particularly queasy, but he didn't need the gore either. So gross.
"Hey, my girly screaming is really... like... manly and stuff," he said, pretending to be offended, giving her an affronted look that didn't last very long. He could keep a straight face well enough, but it was easier not to try too hard. "Don't make fun of me!" He laughed. "And I promise I'll protect you in case the zombies in the movie come to life and jump through the screen," he said with a serious nod. However, that was all good and fine to say, but it was more like he'd try to protect Carson (and everyone in the theatre, really) and just fail miserably. Pacey wasn't cut out for that at all. Plus, zombie movies were alright but he wasn't in the mood -- it was definitely a Disney day. "Oh -- you know, that... that one. With the thing!" he said, winking at her and then smiling. He'd probably know it if he saw it, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what it was off the top of his head. "And he does that stuff with the thing and the girl and the other girl and that guy at that place." He was the best at explaining movies, thanks very much.
Snacks were pretty outrageously priced at movie theatres, but then again, so were tickets. It wasn't like Pacey cared anyway -- the snacks at the theatre were... were better, or something! He was never afraid to spend a bit of money, anyway. There were all kinds of good things. "Um, popcorn! And... and something chocolatey. And nachos. And... uh, let's get three drinks so we can hog all the armrest cupholders from other people," he said, laughing. That last bit was a joke -- he was not nearly selfish enough to do that. "Nah, it doesn't matter. Totally up to you!" She had pretty much all the liberty since she was buying the food; the first part of his requests had been mostly serious, though. The boy could eat a lot in a two-hour round while watching something. "Surprise you? Alrighty!" he chirped, smiling and then moving towards the booth, purchasing the tickets after taking a few moments talking to the dude behind the glass. That was definitely the one he wanted, he decided, putting his debit card through and then thanking the guy before leaving to find Carson again at the concessions. He was happy to find that her arms were full of things; he relieved her of as much of them as he could, clamping the tickets between his index and middle finger. "I think this is plenty! And you'll be happy to know I picked the most bloody, gory film I could find," he told her, grinning. Nah -- he'd just found the Disney thing he'd been looking for, with that dude doing that thing.

She blinked, trying to figure out if he was being literal or flirting. It could be both? Hm. Maybe it was literal and referring to their awesome clothing styles being a good match, because it did make sense. She didn't give much pause as she smiled. "We do! We look fabulous together." Her hand ran through her hair, giving it a bit of a dramatic flip before giggling and putting it back over her shoulder where it had been before. She was in an overall excellent mood, really. Good company, and there was a movie and popcorn and drinks in the near future too. Sounded like a nice night to her! Now Carson was imagining some man spending two hours running down a street. Over and over and over again. Boring! But she knew that action movies involved a lot of guns and explosions and dramatic screaming too. "Well, we'll have to go and see one of those running action movies sometime then. I don't watch a lot of them so you'd be a better judge at which ones to watch, but..." She shrugged and glanced up at him with an expectant smile, hoping that he would accept her invitation for another date. His company was bright and fun and all around enjoyable.
The only times Carson could remember hearing a guy scream like a girl were in those movies where they were kicked in the balls and their only response was to scream, fall to the ground and sob uncontrollably. She laughed. "A manly girly scream, eh? You'll have to show me how you do that at some point." Or even right now, because who cared that other people might watch him and give them both strange looks? Not the end of the world. The girl bit at her lip to try and refrain from laughing again. "I won't make fun of you, I promise." Though she kinda already was, but in a friendly way. She gave him a hug around the neck. "My hero! I knew that you'd be willing to protect me from those scary zombies. I'll have to repay you someday, if we survive." There was a faint wink before she let him go. Zombies weren't real, and never would be real! She thought so, anyway. Stuff like that did not usually cross her mind because some of those movies made it seem so possible. At least they weren't watching one today! Pacey promised no blood and gore or horror. She trusted him. "That sounds like a really sexual movie, Pace," Carson pointed out with raised eyebrows. "Are you sure you aren't into watching porn on the big screen?" That would be...awkward. To each their own, though! It wasn't her place to judge.
Food always seemed to help people find common ground. Or, so she seemed to notice. His three drink comment made her chuckle--Carson liked his sense of humor. "M&M's sound good to you?" She asked, tilting her head while making a mental list of his requests. "Okay! So popcorn, chocolate things, nachos, and at least three drinks. Minimum. Got it!" Her finger popped up into the air as though confirming the order before turning to get everything. She was probably more excited than she should be, but the girl was an energetic and excitable person anyway. Not too difficult to make her happy. The drinks nearly fell out of her arms but fortunately Pacey was there in enough time to help relieve her of some of the burden. A sigh of relief passed her lips. "Thanks," She said appreciatively, shaking out one of her hands which was freezing from the cup. At first she thought he was being serious about the movie, glancing at him with shock before catching the grin on his face. She huffed and gave him a swift punch on the shoulder with her free hand. "Not funny! I mean, unless you want to deal with me hiding and squealing the whole time..." Carson probably couldn't deal with herself. Shaking her head and smiling, she took his hand again and wandered towards the theater room their movie was in. "Where do you want to sit? I'll sit anywhere except riiiight up front. Talk about neck cramps." Just the thought led her to subconsciously tilt her head back and forth before looking up at the seats.

Pacey really had meant it entirely literally, so he just smiled at her response, not knowing that there was any other option. He wasn't totally oblivious to flirting, naw -- but that one had been pure coincidence or something. "Don't we? Too fly," he agreed, pretending to pop his collar in response to her hair flip. Well, they had fun. "I'll try to pick one with as much running as possible!" he assured her, laughing. Action movies did tend to have plenty of running, along with jumping off of buildings, shooting guns, and so on and so forth. He would have suggested some action movie for tonight, if he could, but he wasn't able to recall to mind any action movies currently in theatres. He did go to the movies fairly frequently, however. "Yeah, for sure!" he said enthusiastically, feeling that this was an opportunity to set up another date, even if they'd only just started this one. "I'll grab a bunch or something and you can pick." He had a pretty large collection of movies, after all; there were certainly more DVD's than there was space in his dorm. Many of them he left back at home in Toronto.
He slammed a fist against his chest, making sure not to genuinely hurt himself in the process. That would be embarrassing. For some reason, though, doing that seemed a very masculine gesture, and he was pretty sure it was because it was something associated with apes... which gave some impression of the way society considered the rough and tough meathead type of guy nowadays, he supposed. Luckily for Pacey, he was neither rough nor tough... and he hoped that nobody thought he was a meathead. Either way, he could sure as hell act like it. "It's easy, you just scream like a girl and flex your biceps at the same time." He struck a pose reminiscent of one of those huge surfer dudes on TV and what-not, flexing his arms. Of course, he was wearing long sleeves, and it was probably hard to tell anyway -- he had some muscle, but Pace was no bodybuilder. "If we survive? I've got this," he told her with an air of well-known overconfidence. It was just an act. Pacey would be among the first to die in the real zombie apocalypse. "No need to fear, Pacey is here! Saving the day and... stuff." That had been totally lame but hopefully she wouldn't hold it against him. He was pretty sure she wouldn't.
He wasn't sure if she was being serious with her question or not, but he shook his head quickly. "I just told you it was a Disney movie!" he said, bawking at her a little. Disney certainly did not make porn as far as he knew. He didn't even bother refuting her porn comment, instead just wiggling his eyebrows at her a little. It was probably pretty obvious that Pacey, though he had money, could not go around renting out movie theatres just to watch porn. That... would be really weird. "Sounds good. If we can carry four or five drinks even better!" he called after her retreating back, laughing a little before making his way to get the tickets. No, they didn't really need that many drinks, but like the food, he would probably be able to finish whatever they wound up getting. Two hours was a relatively long time.
Once he arrived with the tickets, he laughed to see her reaction. "It'd probably be cute," he said thoughtfully, but then he shook his head, smiling still. "But I wouldn't do that to you. It's that Disney movie I was talking about, it'll be cute!" Much as he did think the hiding and squealing might actually be kind of adorable, he would never purposely put her through that for no reason. "Ugh, definitely not up front. I like the veeery back..." He looked up at the theatre; it was early still, but many of the seats were taken. There were, however, a good many available in the very top row. "Wanna go up?" He gestured at the top row with the hand not holding hers (well, that just meant it was carrying one of their numerous drinks instead, but that wasn't as important). When they were seated, he didn't hesitate in putting his feet up on the back of the seat in front of him, glad that the theatre was relatively empty and there was nobody sitting there to be upset with him. He would gladly move his feet if someone did arrive, of course, but for now he'd make himself comfortable. He leaned back, hand still holding hers. "I think we're pretty early still."

Carson was excited that Pacey seemed interested in setting up another date; this one had not even started yet, but that didn't matter. They had been on several before so it was not like this was one of those awkward first dates where you aren't sure if the person you were sitting with was some creepy serial stalker or something. He didn't seem like that kind of person, thankfully. Her hands clasped together. "Okay! And we can watch it at my house if you want." She knew that they weren't very fond of guys and girls going into one another's rooms, so better safe than sorry. "And we can stock up on stuff for it too. Like going to a movie theater, but we don't have to be as quiet." Sometimes it was nice to make your own commentary and pause to go and get a drink or go to the bathroom. That was the downfall of the theater.
When his fist met his chest, she visibly flinched. Didn't that hurt? Or maybe he was holding back. Still, it was a pretty manly move and reminded her of those giant silverback gorillas that slammed on their chest when they were feeling dominant over their territory and females. She watched him flex his arm and gave the muscle a gentle squeeze, chuckling. "Then I guess you've mastered your manly scream? Or at least part of it. I haven't heard your girly squeals yet." And she would probably ask him to demonstrate later just for the hell of it. It couldn't hurt. Pacey didn't seem like the type to get all embarrassed and turn her down, but hey, she could be wrong! They talked quite a bit--especially on her end, the girl could talk for hours if you let her--but she hadn't witnessed or asked about everything. "I like confidence in a man! But don't be too cocky because that can get ya killed." She gave him a small pat on the shoulder and nodded seriously before smiling. "But still I can consider you a hero. I mean, you have your manly scream and you know how to survive a zombie apocalypse." Because that was incredibly important.
She couldn't help but laugh, but didn't allow it to become patronizing. She was just teasing but she guessed he took it seriously. "I was just kidding! Besides, most rated R movies feel like pornos anyway. It's unavoidable to watch sex on the big screen." That didn't mean she turned away--it was life, it happened. The last thing Carson did over things like that was get embarrassed. Today did make for a good Disney day though, so she was glad he picked something that didn't involve excessive nudity or anything. "I would need at least two extra arms for that though!" She called back, turning to flash him a pout and a shrug before continuing. At least they liked a lot of the same snacks? Then they could just stock up and share everything and be happy. She made sure to get enough to where they didn't have to leave the theater in the middle of the movie.
It was a good thing that he took some of their junk food before she gave him a whack in the arm; it would've sucked to lose all of their stuff. She glanced away and brushed a strand of hair from her face. "I highly doubt it would be," Her eyes found everything else in the room before looking at him again with a smile. "But yay Disney! I can't wait to watch the guy with that girl and the other girl doing that thing. It'll be awesome." She nodded enthusiastically. Any Disney movie was a good movie; she couldn't recall ever disliking one. The room was not brightly lit, but at least the stairs had little lights so you didn't trip and fall. There weren't a lot of people there, either, which was nice! She squinted to see the back seats, which were mostly hidden by shadow, but agreed with, "Sure! Sounds good!" And followed him all the way up. She couldn't wait to put this drink down; her hand was freezing and the other snacks were slowly slipping from the crook of her arm. She sat down and set everything down as quickly as possible without spilling anything, then leaned back and followed suit with propping up her own feet. Her fingers slowly laced with his. "Yeah, just a little bit. But that's okay, we can entertain ourselves." Using her free hand, she managed to open a bag of candy. She looked around the room; many of the people in the theater were further down. There was a mischievous smirk on her face as she glanced at Pacey. "Ready for this?" Leaning up to judge her toss, Carson launched an M&M through the air before sitting back and trying to act innocent. She aimed for someone that had a couple of people behind them so it wouldn't be too obvious.

Pacey did have a TV in his dorm (a pretty nice one, actually -- his dorm was small but pretty packed full of all his things) along with his movie collection, but watching in there would mean that Carson would have to get into the Earth dorms. That wouldn't be too difficult if he just brought her in with him, but he did know that it was technically against the rules, so her house was probably safer. "Yeah, that works! Snacks and drinks and stuff, it'll be fun!" He loved movie marathons, and he certainly did like spending time with Carson. "Yeah, and we can't get kicked out," he added, laughing. "Unless we get so loud we bug your family, I guess." He hoped not, though. Pacey had yet to really meet Carson's family (he'd only met the girl herself a while ago) so he hoped that their first impression of him wouldn't be some kid who was loud and obnoxious. Many parents already thought that, with the dyed hair and all -- not that, this time, brown was too bad a colour.
Truth be told, when he did scream (which was, thankfully, not very frequetly) he did kind of sound like a little girl. These were the things that he was just a little bit ashamed of. "Yeah, at least part of it," he said, laughing a bit. He grinned when she squeezed his arm. "And it's probably better if you don't hear my girly squeals, they usually aren't that popular with people." Fortunately, Pacey really wasn't the type to care about what people thought of him, if the dudes thought he was a little too feminine or what-not. Fortunately he didn't actually squeal like a girl very often, but then again, everyone did at some point or another. He was pretty sure of that. "Gotcha, not too cocky." He mimed writing this down on his hand -- crib notes for later, obviously. "And good! Don't worry, I have an underground bunker with enough supplies for both of us just in case things get really bad in the zombie apocalypse," he said seriously. "And a back-up bunker. And a back-up for my back-up." Pacey said this all with the straightest face he could muster -- which wasn't as good as some other people's pokerfaces, but he thought it was pretty passable, depending on how seriously she wanted to take him.
He chuckled a little bit sheepishly when she started laughing, realizing that she'd been totally joking. Luckily he didn't think his reaction had been totally lame, but that was okay either way -- Pacey was rarely afraid to laugh at himself. "Only sometimes," he said, nodding. "They're always with either a lot of porn or a lot of gore. Or both." She had already said that she wasn't comfortable with gore, however, so there was no going there. As for sex, he figured that was a bit much to watch with a girl that he'd only just gone on a couple of dates with, so no. "Nooo, just grow them! Where are your extra arms when you need them?" he asked, looking at her with mock confusion. She probably didn't have replaceable arms, but if she did, that... would be... really weird, actually.
Pacey gave her a serious nod when she mentioned the guy. "That guy's my favourite! Except maybe the girl, I really like the girl too," he said. "And when they do that thing together with that other guy, man, best moment in cinematic history." He had no idea what he was even talking about anymore, just making things up, but Carson seemed excited about this movie, so he grinned. Good choice, Pace. He'd yet to really have a bad date with Carson -- the girl was so fun -- but he was hoping the day wouldn't come anytime soon. "Awesome!" He smiled. At the top he allowed her into the row of seats first, following along and then plopping down in the seat next to her once she'd taken a seat -- pretty much right in the middle of the theatre. Yep, they were full of good choices today. "Entertain oursel--" he started, but she seemed to have that look on her face that Waters tended to get when they had an idea, and Pacey just let her go about her own business without any complaint. Hey, these things were always fun. "Always ready," he said, finally beginning to see what she was up to -- he watched as she launched the M&M at the back of someone's head. Pacey made a point to stare passively and vapidly at the screen when he saw them turn around suspiciously. "Fifty points for the one dude down there in the black toque," he told her slyly. Pacey wasn't often the type for pranking, not as much as his Water friends, but hey -- this was harmless, right? Harmless and fun.

"Nah, my family wouldn't care," Carson waved it off like it was nothing to be worried about, because it wasn't. Achelle and Renee were really cool and laid back for the most part, as were Gavan and Valerie. Her younger brothers got along with most everyone that Carson hung around, so there was no trouble there if the boys just so happened to be at the house when they decided to have their movie date. The only problem was..."Well, Janessa isn't exactly a bowl of cherries, but she probably won't be around much. I never know with her." Janessa was her older sister, and a Thunder student to boot. She was not always a bitch but if she was there would be a chance at her trying to upset the calm balance of the house with Pacey around. She liked doing that. Still, Carson's expression did not even sour at bringing up Janessa and left it at that. There wouldn't be much for Pacey to worry about. She pouted a little. "Aww no fun! You never know, they might be popular with me. I like a lot of things people don't." When you were tolerant it was easy to admire and enjoy the things people may not be fond of. She had a high tolerance for a lot of things and a lot of people. It would take a lot for her to cringe seriously at anything Pacey did.
She clicked her tongue and pointed at him with a wink, a bit of a 'thumbs up' for taking notes. Not that it was really necessary. She just found it all amusing and was glad he played along. That's what she enjoyed in the people she hung around with; most of them were pretty easy going and knew how to have fun and roll with the punches. Pacey was good at that too. She placed a hand on her heart. "Thank you for my little piece of bunker space! Maybe we'll be able to start a little colony after it's all over with. We can re-enact The Walking Dead, but with fewer people and no pregnant women." Reproducing to bring the human population back to normal after the apocalypse was over was one thing, but in the middle of everything? What were they thinking? Crazy. "And..." She counted on her fingers. "Three bunkers. I think we'd be set for life." And if they didn't find anyone else, they could just live out their lives in a bunker and grow old and be decently happy that they were alive. At least, she would be. This was all hypothetical and fun though so she didn't think too heavily on it. All in fun!
She nodded in agreement, a slight wrinkle in her nose. What was the point in gore and pornographic-type scenes anyway? People obviously liked them because they kept making movies, but her preference lay in comedies and romantic comedies. She was a bit of a hopeless romantic, so sue her. Carson flailed her arms and looked exasperated, though that was hardly the case. She was smiling. "Unlike you, I can't grow extra arms! I'm sorry!" Her voice tilted towards upset and hurt, but there was no way she was actually insulted. It took a lot to upset the girl. She had her serious moments but more often than not it was all smiles and rainbows and unicorns and puppies. What a bright and girly world that would be. "Oh man, I totally agree," She exclaimed and tossed her hands in the air. "It really was the best movie. It won like, ten awards or something! So memorable." Whatever movie that was she had no idea, but at least she was excited for the one they were about to watch! Pacey had done well so far in keeping the girl happy. She simply enjoyed who he was and his company.
Waters were so incredibly mischievous though, and poor Pacey had to put up with whatever antics Carson could come up with on the fly while they waited for the movie to start. Being early had its perks--if you were up to throwing things at people and being silly. She chuckled. "Good. Let's just hope we aren't found out." Of course the little chocolate candy landed with decent precision on the back of the innocent man's head. Bullseye! She offered a triumphant smile to the ceiling as she waited for him to turn back around, then burst into a tiny fit of giggles. "Damn, I'm good," She whispered before finding the man Pacey described. Her eyes nearly glittered in the dim room. "Gotcha. We should make a game. Like, prizes for certain amounts of points. You'd need to figure out a system." That would be fun! They had at least fifteen or so to spare before the commercials even started, which was another fifteen minutes. So many candies could be thrown in that time. She launched the next M&M and it hit the man in the back. She smiled. "Who's next?"

Pacey just smiled when she said that her family would be alright with it -- that was good! His parents were pretty cool too, now that he thought about it -- they were used to his friends (and cousins) being over and wreaking havoc. Actually... okay, they didn't really wreak havoc; they just mostly played video games and ate tons of food, but some parents might consider that havoc. He didn't think they'd ever have a problem with him inviting a girl over to watch a bunch of movies, but of course he wouldn't really know because he had never done so. He hadn't actually started going on dates until high school, and of course that had been at the Academy -- his parents were back in Toronto. One day maybe he'd get to invite a girlfriend over -- today was not that day. Carson was very pretty and cute, though... "Hey, that's okay. I'm sure everything will be great anyway," he said with a touch of carelessness -- he did kind of know Janessa though, since she was in his grade, and he couldn't say he was her biggest fan... nor she his, probably, but he doubted there would be too much trouble. "I hope, anyway," he added after a second, his smile a bit sheepish. "It'll just be some movies, so." It was still weird to him that Janessa and Carson were even related -- they were so different -- but hey, even direct relatives were never exactly the same. He could definitely put up with Janessa for a day.
He didn't even hesitate in pouting back at her in an almost mocking way, not intending it in a mean way at all. "Do you typically like guys who squeal like little girls?" he asked, cocking his head to one side as if considering this. Most people probably thought it was emasculating, though. Pacey did quite a good job of that already just by having his own face, thanks very much -- no girly squeals needed. "I hope so. I've got enough canned food in there to last us a long time. But I hope you don't get tired of Chef Boyardee," he said with an almost sad expression as if this were a real concern of his. Pacey wished he had a real bunker, though -- even if there was no zombie apocalypse, it might be pretty cool to have a place to go just in case of anything happening. "And yeah, no pregnant women getting people killed," he said, sighing and shaking his head. He remembered that episode -- how ridiculous. The zombie apocalypse was no time to start making babies, jeez. They should have been more concerned about the entire issue of protecting the humans still left... but this was maybe a sign that he was taking the TV show too seriously. Pacey got very much into these things. "Well, at least six years. I'm counting on someone stopping the zombies before that, because I don't know how to kill them," he said, holding up his hands as if to say he gave up.
He was a little surprised when he heard the almost upset tone in her voice, but when he turned to look at her he saw that she was kidding. Thank goodness. Pacey was really not in the business of hurting other people, here -- he wouldn't like that at all, and he liked Carson a lot, actually. He'd never do that on purpose. "I'll teach you sometime!" he offered, smiling now that he saw they were still okay and just messing around. "Growing extra arms is a valuable skill! You can put it on your resume!" That would be a pretty hilarious resume, actually. He should try it sometime, but Pacey wasn't job-hunting at all. He didn't even really know how to write a resume, though he was pretty sure he'd had to do it a couple of times in school before. "Yeah! And that dude won an Oscar for that thing he did. Man, so cool," he said wistfully, his eyes almost distant as if remembering some fond awards show memory. This wasn't the case at all, because... well, the memory would be fabricated.
Really, after hanging out with Waters for a couple of years now, Pacey should be used to all of this noise, but it never ceased to amaze him how readily Waters were willing to just jump into things. Some of them were calmer -- most were like Carson and always up to no good, but he was much too amused to turn something like this down. "We'll have to be sneaky. I hope you brought your disguise kit today." He should really start carrying one of those around. All the really badass people needed to whip out a disguise once in a while. That shit got real. "You are good," he whispered, actually a little bit impressed. "Oh god, uh, okay. Let's think." He thought on it for a second, then pointed out a few people as he spoke. "Okay, fifty points for the dark ones that are hard to see, like the black hat. Um... also fifty for targets that are moving. Twenty-five for bright colours," he said, pointing out a bright blondie in the front. Dayum, that shit was brighter than his own hair a couple of months ago. He'd re-dyed it since, though -- he'd be worth much more now in points. "Oh, and no points for seniors. Hitting old people is mean." He said this and nodded seriously. Pacey had all the respect for senior citizens, though, even if it was possibly a little rude to call them "old people" -- he'd never say it to other people, but he hoped Carson was okay with it. "Oh, oh, see those two over there? You get the girl, the guy on the right is mine," he whispered, pointing out two brunettes quite a few rows down. Aw yeah, they could totally do this. He hoped she remembered the slightly overcomplicated rules, though -- he was probably going to forget soon.

Pacey was right, everything would still be great. Janessa might try and say something or stir up trouble but maybe if they made it there before she got home things would be okay. Carson loved her sister but really she could be a nuisance at times. "I don't base which guys I like on their girly squeals," She replied with a giggle. "That's a bit shallow." She envisioned herself sitting down somewhere and making all of the guys she had been interested in stand in a line and offer up their best squeal. The best was chosen and the rest went home. Like some twisted version of The Bachelorette. "Food is food! I'm pretty sure that if we have to survive I won't be picky." She reassured him with a nod. While there were foods she didn't like, beggars also couldn't be choosers. Her life was high end and she could have what she wanted but being picky during the end of the world was stupid. She tapped her chin. "I'm sure we'd find a way. Maybe they're like the zombies in I Am Legend where they can't be in sunlight." Like vampires, or something. She remembered when Janessa made her watch that movie and how depressed she was afterwards. That was why she hardly ever watched anything like that, though there were exceptions.
She clapped her hands together excitedly, as though growing arms were actually possible and it could further some future career. Would fashion have room for someone who could sprout extra appendages? "Yay! We'll have an arm growing session then. It'll be fun!" With her, everything seemed to turn into a fun time of sorts, even if it was all just a big joke. Like him, she wasn't job hunting so having a resume was not really necessary. Whenever the time came her parents would probably help her out, though.
Being the type to grow bored just sitting still for long periods of time, finding a source of entertainment was pretty much a necessity. The fact that she managed to make it through movies was a shock. So long as it had an interesting story line she could manage well enough. At least the company was good! She was happy he was encouraging her behavior. "I have my mustache in my pocket just in case," She patted her pocket and wiggled her nose. Carson kept her voice low as she talked, making sure they remained practically invisible. If they were going to throw things at people they couldn't be loud and obnoxious. She chuckled at his complement and then blinked, trying to absorb the rules as best as possible. Damn, there would be no remembering this! "Okay okay, so...fifty points for dark stuff and moving stuff, and...and twenty-five for bright rainbow-y people. And no old people. Got it!" Not really because after they had their fun she'd probably only be able to recall one of those things. She bit at her lip in concentration as she tried to aim the chocolate candy at her target. There was a small clacking sound as it hit the back of her chair. "Awww," Carson pouted and slouched in the chair, keeping her gaze averted as the girl turned around to find the source of the noise. "I didn't get it. You'r turn!"
After more candy tossing, the girl looked quite satisfied with herself and sighed a little. "That was fun! Who won?" She asked before looking at the bag in her hands. There were still plenty of M&M's left too, and just in time for the previews to start. Some of them were incredibly awesome; gave her a chance to figure out what movies she wanted to see later! The theater felt like a weird home away from home. Why watch movies at home when everything was available on a huge screen that took up the entire wall?

Even if there was some kind of awful conflict with Janessa, this wasn't anything that Pacey wasn't really used to -- Earths were pretty easy targets for the Fires and Thunders. He never really fought back, and he was a pretty okay dude when it came to just chilling out in the face of adversity... and just plain hostility sometimes. He preferred to focus on other topics at hand. "Are you sure? It seems like a pretty legit way to judge guys to me," he said seriously before laughing. Who cared about a nice personality, or even good looks? It was all about those girly squeals, damn straight. "Gotta start practicing those squeals if I want to keep up." He laughed. She was right, too -- food was food. He liked people who could appreciate that. The kid was seriously a bottomless pit -- there were people he knew who could eat quite a bit. Pacey had been able to outeat most of them. "Yeah, I think surviving would be way above the list if that happened. Oh but hey, I can go looking for stuff besides Chef Boyardee, too," he said, grinning dorkily. "Some Mr. Noodles or Campbell's soup or something." He needed to enlist a third member into this zombie apocalypse party -- preferably someone who could actually cook food, because if it were up to Pacey this was all they would have to survive off of. He was hopeless.
It was always a good idea to carry around a mustache just in case. Pacey would also never be opposed to a wig of some sort, preferably in a bright colour, but his hair was always like that anyway. Well, it wasn't at the moment, but it was typically all over the place. Brown was very tame for him. "Okay. Next time you bring the mustaches then, and I'll bring the trench coats. Wait, people might think we're up to something else then..." He trailed off, laughing kind of sheepishly. Pacey was no flasher, thanks very much, he had innocent motives going into most things. Well, he was tossing candy at innocent moviewatchers' heads, which was pretty bad, but he was just having fun! He hadn't started it, anyway, but he probably still needed to be prepared to take off just in case. He'd yet to be kicked out of a movie theatre, but hey, there was a first for everything. "Right! Oh, and bonus for kids because they're smaller. But no babies." It was just cruel and unusual to hit babies with candy. "Aw, that's okay!" he said, smiling sympathetically before taking an M&M himself and aiming it at the back of his own target's head. "Gotcha!" He gave a triumphant grin when he hit it dead-on, but quickly rearranged his face and looked away when the person started to turn around.
"Okay and we can't hit anyone who looks like they might try to strangle us, because I don't think I'm ready to die," he said, imaginining some kind of huge, scary, muscular man who wanted to deck him a good one just for chucking a piece of chocolate at him. Luckily for Pacey, however, there was no such man in the movie theatre, and their game ended without their being caught at all. He resisted the urge to breathe a sigh of relief -- he was very willing to go along with most anything, but he didn't have the ease and mischief that Waters seemed to, or whatever it was that enabled them to just do these things without a care in the world. "Uh..." Truthfully, he had lost count a while ago, but she had been in the lead. "It was probably you!" he chirped happily, not at all perturbed about losing their game. "Okay, wait, guess that might mean you get a prize then... What would you like?" He grinned at her.
There were a number of things that he wanted to see after checking out the previews, and he tried to make mental note of all of them, though he'd never remember them. Pacey loved movies, though, and he would probably end up watching them all at some point anyway. When the movie actually started, he sat and watched for a while, waited about half an hour, and then whispered in the middle of a totally random scene, "Look, it's the part! Look, the guy and that other guy and that girl and the thing." Never mind the fact that there were only two people onscreen -- Pace was just being a dork anyway.

She thought on it for a moment, tilting her head back and forth. Her curly hair simply rolled with the movements. "It does seem pretty legit, doesn't it?" What better way to figure out who was the best? The image still amused her and the smile still remained. "But don't worry! You're already pretty high on my list, if that means anything." She liked Pacey's company. Liked that he could make her smile and laugh and feel good about herself. That's all she really ever wanted from anyone she kept in her life. Positive energy. Things could always go wrong and she knew that, but she didn't keep people who constantly brought bad things into their friendship. That was silly. Still, her attachment to other people tended to allow all sorts of personality types into her world, sometimes without fully realizing it. "Mmm, all of those sound delicious," She replied with an enthusiastic nod. "And don't forget mac and cheese!" That was easy to make too. She could always ask their personal chef if she'd be willing to join them in the bunker.
"Uh, yeah, that might be a little too obvious. A mustache is one thing--they might think we're just weird--but the trench coat would be a dead giveaway." That would be so shifty. She was all for pranking people and being silly but if you were trying to be inconspicuous that was not the way to go about it. Still, she giggled and found the whole thing funny. Trying to keep quiet, Carson gave him a nod in the affirmative and refrained from laughing even more. Fortunately they had yet to be caught and so long as they kept themselves from being too obvious they should be fine. She offered him a quick high five after he made the shot, giving him a thumbs up shortly afterward without so much as glancing at the couple they were aiming at. "Nice shot!" She whispered loudly once she was sure they were in the clear. "It's too bad mine didn't make it. We'd have them both so confused," And for some reason eliciting chaos from something that was supposed to be calm and relaxing seemed fun and amusing. It kept her mind occupied during the lull. She looked around the room and tried to assess each person based on nice looking and super scary. "I think we're okay! I think...I mean, none of them look like they just walked out of prison or anything." There were a couple of muscular looking guys but no one that made her cringe at the thought of tossing candy at.
And of course, with their sneakiness and ninja skills, neither of them were caught. One or two people glanced at them but by the time they did, Carson was talking to Pacey innocently or taking a drink of her soda. We're so awesome. "Uhh..." What prize, what prize. She went silent for a moment. "I'll think of something later, I'm sure!" There were a lot of options and as such required a bit more time to think of what she would like. They already had another date in the works--if the movies at her house was a date--so asking for that would be silly. Of course she forgot when the movie started and snuggled down into her chair, bursting into laughter and what-not at different points in time. Pacey caught her attention somewhere along the way, nodding and pointing. "Oh my god, it is! This movie is just amazing," She whispered back. She made a few more comments along the way, but nothing that made for a long conversation, and soon she was watching the credits scroll up the screen. Carson stretched out and stood up, asking for his hand, which she had let go of at some point to get her drink. "That was a good choice! I'm glad we have a similar taste in movies."

He acted as if to breathe a sigh of relief, putting a hand to his heart like he was totally winded. "Glad I'm so high on the list! You're pretty up there yourself, too," he said with a grin, and he did mean it, because he liked Carson a lot, actually. "On mine, I mean. Not like... your own." That would make no sense. That clarification probably hadn't been necessary, now that he thought about it. Ah, well -- Pacey was able to shrug these things off, no big deal. He doubted Carson could hold it against him anyway. "Oh yeah! Can't forget that KD," he said, because Kraft Dinner was the best. Plus, no other mac and cheese ever compared, unless maybe it was homemade. In that case, Pacey was so ready for that. "And I'll bring chips or something just to keep it fresh." He laughed. Of course, when he said "fresh", he didn't mean the actual food -- nothing they could eat in an underground bunker could possibly be fresh like that.
He decided that she was right, and he nodded his agreement. "No trench coat. We'll just have to run really fast, then. Split up and rendezvous later, maybe," he said, laughing at the idea. This was all very serious. He doubted there would be some kind of police chase just for their throwing candy at people -- he had seen worse things happen in movie theatres before. Chucking M&Ms was nothing compared to what others got up to sometimes. "Oh, like one of those action movies with a lot of running!" he said, remembering their conversation and next date plan. "But in real life. And I don't think I'm as buff as those action movie guys." Pacey was more toned than he tended to make people believe, though -- the gratuitous abs shots on Facebook profile pictures were really not necessary. He had learnt a long time ago that trying to be macho really didn't work for him, also. "Thanks," he whispered back, grinning in triumph. "You can take another shot at them, if you want. But then it might be too obvious... maybe." Pacey would totally be okay if she did want to try again, though. He nodded when she said that none of these moviegoers looked like escaped convicts. "Yeah, luckily for us. But I guess we did make a good choice with the whole Disney movie thing." Heck yes.
He waited patiently for an answer, but then just smiled when she said later. "Just remind me!" he chipred, happy to provide her with whatever she wanted, whether it was an actual material object or... well, anything else, really. Cute scenarios popped their way into Pacey's mind -- he tried to ignore them to focus instead on the previews and then the movie as they started. A couple of times during the movie itself, he heard her laughing and couldn't help but smile harder -- he really couldn't help it! She was so cute! Granted, Pacey thought this about girls pretty often, so he probably really was not the most trustworthy guy at all, but... shhh. It was a cute movie, he decided at its end, pretty much exactly what he would have expected of anything Disney touched. "Yeah, it was good! And that does make picking movies a lot easier, doesn't it," he agreed, chuckling, standing and taking her hand with a smile. He gave it a quick squeeze. "Okay, wait, I know we just finished off a ton of popcorn, but like... I'm really hungry." He grinned sheepishly. Maybe they could go out for second dinner or something -- then again, not everyone was a bottomless pit like Pacey, so that was okay too.

Knowing that Pacey placed her high on his list brought a faint pinkness to her cheeks, smiling happily. She liked him a lot and it made her feel good to know he felt the same way. She attached herself to a lot of people, depended on a lot of people, but some were easier to cling to than others. Pacey made it easy. "I figured that's what you meant," She replied with a giggle of amusement. "I'm glad I am." He made her laugh and Carson liked that. She was a naturally giggly person so maybe it didn't take a lot but still. He didn't seem to mind her bubbly personality. "Yeah! And chips are always good. Maybe hot Cheetos too," The spicy cheesy crunchies were some of her favorites. After the first couple of handfuls you could hardly taste anything and by then you were just eating because you could. They were still good, though.
She gave him a thumbs up and a bright smile. This was sounding more and more shady by the moment, though it was all a fun conversation. Anyone could be capable of being serious but it took special people to have a silly conversation pretty much the whole time they were together. "I like running! I can handle that. I guess it depends on how fast the other people are..." If they were professional runners then they would probably be screwed. Why was she even trying to think of this on such a serious level? Like they would get in so much trouble people would chase them around. "Nah, you aren't as buff as they are. But that's okay! You're perfect the way you are. Absolutely adorable." And Carson meant it; the girl was as honest as they came. Sometimes too honest. As much as she found some of those buff movie actors very handsome, that wasn't the only criteria of a good guy. There were some awesome guys out there that weren't able to lift five hundred pounds but had everything else going for them. "You're welcome," She replied, fighting back all of her laughter. "And it might be a bit too obvious. I'll find someone else." There were plenty of victims just waiting to be pelted with candy, so there was no point in risking getting caught. "Definitely!" She nodded. Most of the people that would be in this movie were kids and stuff. Watching some intense movie like Django Unchained might draw in some less friendly people. Maybe. She was just making assumptions.
Not that Carson wasn't a naturally happy person, but she had really enjoyed the movie and she was in an even better mood now. "Yep, I think so," She replied, smiling as he accepted her hand and gave it a squeeze. Affection made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. "...really? You're hungry already?" She blinked and looked a bit shocked, then sighed and chuckled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Okay my bottomless pit, let's go and get food." Since the theater wasn't incredibly full to begin with, it wasn't difficult to navigate down the steps and out of the room. The fluorescent lights were a bit bright and unexpected; Carson blinked a few times to adjust. "If we go and grab food...do you mind driving me home? I told mom I'd call her to pick me up after the movie but if you're willing to drive..." She looked at him hopefully, offering a small smile. The evening had gone over really well so far and she wasn't interested in going home just yet. So long as Pacey was wanting to continue their date, then so was she.
