It was lunch time which meant break time which meant alone time. Currently Hiro was at his desk in his classroom. He was drinking some coffee from his mug as he was writing on some of his students papers. He was grading papers and writing notes during his lunch break. He was taken out of his thoughts when his small microwave at the corner of his desk went off. He put his mug down to reach out for his food. He had to eat of course. The only reason he was working was because he wanted to try and get these papers back before the class began. If not it would be just more work he had to take back home along with the homework he would be collecting today as well. Why the hell did he assign so much work? Oh yeah, he was hoping his students would learn something if he did so. Oh well now. The deed had been done.
He opened the microwave and pulled out the plate that was inside it. Leftover pizza from the night before. Couldn't let it go to waste after all, besides he loved pizza so it was all good in his eyes. One of the reasons he normally stayed in his room was to make it easy for any of his students to be able to find him in case they needed something. Besides, he wasn't one to go conversing, or gossipping in many cases, with the other teachers. It wasn't like he didn't get along with them. He made conversations with them when he spent time in the lounge. It was still a bit surprising sometimes when he talked to his current collegues who happen to be former teachers. Awkward could definitely be said about the situation sometimes. Point was though he preferred the quietness of his room where he could get the most work done anyways. It just made more sense in his eyes.

Lunch time was still one of Kiya’s favourite times of the day and it may or may not have been because she was able to eat as much as she wanted to or at least until she had no food left on her and she would begin to ask the people that she was friends with for more food and some times that would work! On the other times, then it just wouldn’t happen. She got over it quickly and she would be onto another topic and the cycle would begin again until something happen, like a bell for instance, and then she would have to go back to class. Even though that was still true there was always something, other than eating, that you could do and with this lunch break there was you could find Kiya trying to find her History teacher, Hiro.
Like some of her class currently Kiya was a little behind and with this particular teacher been one of Kiya’s favourites during her current year! It was one of those teachers that got who she was and how she could be taught because she was a little slow when it came to most of her classes. After asking around she was able to find what room her teacher was currently in but it was actually getting to the room which was the harder thing. It wasn’t that she didn’t know her way around or anything, it was more the fact that she was lazy and had only just finished eating her lunch! Meh, she had just gotten to the room and knocked on the door. There was no going back now! “Umm, Sir. I was wondering if I would be able to talk to you.” Kiya said and she peaked her head in the door with a smile on her face.

One of the things Hiro enjoyed about lunch aside from being able to eat was the privacy and quiet. It wasn't like he didn't like his job it just that even a teacher needed a break from it all for a while. From his students, paperwork, everything. Just some time to himself. Of course on some occasions he would have visitors. Sometimes his sister, maybe Avery would decide to pop in and of course his students when they needed him for something. Normally when it came to his students they normally told him advance but on occasion there may be an unexpected visit from someone. He could just hope that no one would come and he'd enjoy his alone time until his next class.
He took a bit from his pizza and then wiped his hands. He got up from his desk with his book to to write some notes that his next class would have to be writing down. Just a few more classes and he'd be done for the day. He put the marker down when he was done writing and took a step back to look the notes he had written. It all looked good. With that done he sat back down at his desk and continued to eat and look over some of the turned in homework. Grading was a pain but he had gotten used to it by now. He had to of course. That was when there was a knock on his door. He turned to the door to find one of his students peaking in. He gave a warm smile to her. "Afternoon Kiya. Of course. Please come in." Kiya was one of his eleventh grade students since he taught both eleventh and twelfth grade. She was also a wind but of course element didn't play a part in his classroom. "What can help you with?"

Having a good relationship with a teacher was always a good thing, mainly when you don’t really have a support network at the academy! That was something that she had with a few teachers in the academy but it was still weird not having her parents around to be able to help her with her work and even just personal stuff that she really needed advice on. Even though this wasn’t one of those times, she really just wanted help with some of the things that were happening in class and that was really it. It wasn’t like she was avoiding the subject or anything, it was more that she just wanted someone to talk to and who better than one of her better teachers! It was always nice to be able to talk to someone, so why not make this one of those moments!
As soon as she had peeked her head into the door and asked whether or not he had been in there, she realised that he was and she couldn’t help but smile. It was weird when you ask for a teacher and it just happened to be that the teacher wasn’t there, or you had just missed them or something along those lines. It was always just a little weird for it to happen. So once she had seen that her history teacher was actually in the room she really couldn’t help but smile. I was good just to know that a teacher was able to remember you name, let alone anything else. Once he had asked her to come in, she walking into the room and stood next to his desk and said, “You know, I was just wondering what was going on in our class recently?” It wasn’t that she didn’t like the class at all, it was more that she just wanted an over view of what they would be doing in the class.

Hiro always had time for his students. Hiro wasn't one that played favoritism, especially when it came to element. He knew from experience that because of the alliances even when they all graduated from the school those tendencies to dislike each other don't go away all that to often. Sometimes people will remain prejudice towards those against their alliance. Teachers are no different. It wasn't surprising if you ran across a teacher at the academy that was still biased towards their elements and alliances. In some cases though it's just the students thinking that way. When it came to Hiro though he wasn't. Don't only way you would gain his dislike if you were wasting his time. That was a different story though.
"What are we going through now? We're focusing on the Industrial Revolution in Britian and the United States." he said thinking about the day's lesson before taking a sip from his coffee mug. "Is everything all right?" he really didn't see Kiya as one that would be spacing out during a lesson. He could spot those kids out. There were students that took to understanding things quicker than others. Those who weren't as fast would ask for help more often but he didn't feel like Kiya fell under that category. He didn't mind slightly reviewing a bit if it meant helping a student out. "Are you keeping up with the lessons well?" he asked curiously.
