Kathryn knew she was awake, but she definitely wasn't ready to be. Without even having to open her eyes, she knew it was much too early in the morning for her to be awake. She buried her hair back in the soft and cool pillow, shrugging the comforter on her aunt's bed over she shoulder, and willed herself to shrink back into the dreams she was having. It only worked for a little while, before her dreams flash changed into nightmares, and beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. She awoke again from the nightmares; the third time since she had fallen into bed at what she thought was probably two in the morning. Whoever said drinking brought you into a peaceful nothingness that was sleep, must have never lived trough Kathryn's live. Once she had abandoned Blake on the couch, she locked herself in her aunts room with the bathroom. She peeled off her crimson blood stained white dress, and ditched it on the bedroom floor. She stepped into a hot shower, letting the blood from her nose spill onto the clean white shower. When she had managed to pull herself from the shower, dry herself off, and put on her bra and panties, she grabbed a bottle of liquor from her aunt's not-so-secret stash. She polished off about half of it before she had finally crawled underneath the thin white covers, and into sleep.
Her dreams always started with a do-over of her date with Blake. Blake wasn't there this time, and Nick came sober. They danced a little bit, fooled around a little bit, drank a little bit, and fooled around some more. But of course the good times had to end, with a grand entrance of Blake. She always said to him, Blake, I really do love you. And not how you think I do- but I'm with Nick right now. Just accept it and move on. But then Blake and Nick would fight, Nick would punch Kathryn again like he did that night- but thats when things actually got worse. Nick turned into her father, who began slapping her across the face, and punching her in her stomach. He would start hissing, You're a pathetic excuse for a daughter. And then the dream would end. Kathryn would take a few more sips of the liquor, and fall back asleep, only to have the same dream again.
This time Kathryn knew the dreams were done, though. There was no more getting back to sleep at this point, and when she pulled her pounding head out of the pillow, it was nearly two in the afternoon. She didn't really want to get out of the warm and welcoming bed, but she knew she was going to have to sometime. She got up, gazed at her white dress still crumpled on the floor, and realized she couldn't really put it back on again. Without really thinking about it, she left the room and went into the open kitchen in her bra and underwear, bruises on her skin exposed and all. She turned a flame on the stove, and started taking out the eggs in the fridge. She wasn't sure if she planned on finishing them, but she had to get something in her system.

PERVIOUS NIGHT Blake stumbled through the streets as Kat rambled on some response to a question he has asked earlier. In all honesty he had no idea what she was saying anymore. Due to him half paying attention, all he heard was a series of angry mumbles that he was pretty sure was directed towards him. At this point he was beyond caring. Blake was completely wasted and in a somewhat decent mood. No need to let Kat's words drop him down as low as he felt at the bar. Blake was the one to successfully knock out some kid today. Well the guy was older than Blake, but he looked like a kid compared to the Thunder. His arms shot up over his head and he gave out a small victory cry into the night. "Justice was served bitches!" With a few fake punches thrown into thin air at an invisible opponent, Blake could safely say he felt like he was on top of the world.
A door swung open and Blake went in no questions ask. He assumed Kat had found an off campus party to continue the celebration of Blake's victory. When he walked into a silent living room he was confused. "Where the hell is everyone?". Kat pushed him over towards the couch, barked a few orders at him, and disappeared into a room of her own. "Sit still?" he said to himself out loud. "Hell no, I'm Blake Logan. I don't sit for anyone!" Blake struggled to get up off the couch, and after many attempts found out he was too drunk to stand back up. The Thunder gave in and crashed on the couch. By some unknown force, the lights went out before Blake could even take his jacket off. How hot was this place? Blake could feel himself starting to work up a sweat even though it was the beginning of October. His shirt and pants were a struggle to get off, but once the boy was down to his boxers he felt comfortable enough to drift to sleep.
----------
When Blake Logan woke up about five hours after he had been put to bed on some uncomfortable couch, it was to the sound of honking car and some outdoor argument about Swiss Sombreros. Or at least that was what he had picked up. He figured for a moment that he must be having a drunken hallucination, but reasoned that if he was lucid enough to think of the option that this might all be some hammered fantasy, he wasn't very tipsy at all. It wasn't this that brought her to reality, though, it was the headache. The pounding in his head had never been so bad in his life. What in God's name did he drink last night? He let out a groan. The high pitched squeak he couch made as he got up made his head hurt worse than it already did. "Shit," the word hurt as it left his lips. It scraped against his throat and barely made it around his tongue which felt like it had swollen several times its usual size. A hand went through Blake's hair and rubbed his head as if it was going to make things better. It was then that he noticed the dried blood on his hands. Seeing as he didn't have any cuts on him, he must have been more than alright.
He realized a shower was in order. He had no idea who's house he was actually in. Maybe he hooked up with someone last night? It would explain why he had woken up in just his boxers. Why would he be on the couch all alone then? Still, if he had successfully gotten himself into this stranger's house last night, they must be cool with him waking up and cleaning off. As the warm water washed over him Blake struggled to recall what had happened last night. He remembered that he had convinced Kat to finally go out to a club with him, but it was not all he had hoped it to be. She was dressed way too much like the girls he hooked up with and was dancing with some guy all night. After sitting down at their table he couldn't really remember all too much. Had Kat gone back to that guy's house? The thought annoyed Blake far more than it should.
When he felt somewhat refreshed and less dirty, Blake grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist. On the way towards the living room her heard a clicking noise. Someone else must have finally been up. "Hello?" he called out to the noise in the kitchen. Blake fumbled to put his jeans back on and decided his shirt could wait, tossing the article of clothing over his shoulder. He shuffled his way over towards the kitchen before asking "Is that you Kat?" Blake stopped dead in his tracks, letting go of the shirt he had dangling over his shoulder, only to have it fall to the ground. K-Kat? She had her back towards him, but it was still all too shocking for the Thunder. Never before had he seen so much of his childhood friend. Kat was at the store standing in just her bra and panties, leaving very little for Blake to imagine.

Kathryn turned around, probably a bit too quickly. The corners of her fuzzed, but she steadied herself on the counter top, and successfully offered a glare at Blake. She didn't seem embarrassed about her standing in front of her childhood friends in just her undergarments, actually seemed to take little to no notice about it. It didn't faze her to see Blake without his shirt on; she'd seen it multiple times when he was younger, it was no difference now. She turned back around to finish cooking her eggs, and still felt the gaze of her eyes on her almost naked body. "The only clothes I have with me is my blood stained clubbing dress crumbled in a ball in the corner of my aunt's bedroom. I supposed I could go find something of her's to put on, but at this moment clothing is sort of the least of my worries."
She flopped her eggs on to a plate, and then let the frying pan soak in water in the sink. Before she even moved to sit down at the table, she stabbed her egg with her fork, and took a bite of it. Kathryn hadn't allowed herself to eat like this in a while. She savored the bites, but told herself she was going to have to slowdown. "I would offer to make you something," she mumbled through the food, still sort of glaring at Blake. "But I'm not going to." She supposed she was being a little harsh, but it was okay. Her anger hadn't shrunk much throughout, but she looked at it from more of a calm view now. Kathryn's phone buzzed on the counter, and she looked over at the screen lighting up. It was a text message from Nick. She stared at the phone, picking it up and turning it over and over in her hand.
She could delete the text now, not look at it, and decide not to let Nick back into her life. But that wouldn't be fair, now would it? She wasn't going to be mad at Blake forever. Hell, she didn't really even want to bring it up and talk about it. She wanted to mull it over for another hour while putting a little bit of eggs and a few more swigs of alcohol in her stomach, and then she'd be over it. She could easily hold a grudge; but wasn't the one to do so. Sure it may seem like she held grudges against Waters, but she only liked to mess with them for her own amusement. She was never actually extremely mad at someone for over 24 hours. Shit happens, life goes, and she'd get over it. If she was going to forgive Blake, she had to let it slide with Nick too. Or well, at least try and give him another chance.
She opened the text; I'm so sorry about last night. I was with my friends before I met you at the club, and I had had a little too much to drink. Please, can we meet up somewhere at sometime, I'd really love to explain, and hang out with you sober. Kathryn typed away an answer back as she took another bite of her eggs. She guessed meeting up with him wouldn't be to unreasonable.

Blake quickly picked up his shirt from the ground and tossed it in Kat’s direction. The last time he had seen Kathryn like this had been back at his pool at home. Argument stands that her underwear was the same thing as if she was in a bikini, but something was off putting. He averted his gaze while he begged for a little solace. ”Please Kat put this on. For me.” he shuffled his feet while looking through the unknown cabinets for some sort of glass. Helping himself to what was in the cabinet he filled the glass with some water. His mouth was completely dry still from a rather rough night. ”Why the hell is there blood on your dress?” Blake did finally learn where he was. He looked around a bit as if Kat’s Aunt was going to waltz right in on them. He had never met her, and he was pretty sure she wouldn’t want to see two half naked teenagers in her kitchen.
The smell of Kat’s cooking reminded Blake at how starving he was. When Kat walked right past him with the food and began to dig in he was shocked to find no plate for himself. Even more so when she coldly declared she had no intention of offering something. What the hell was her problem this morning? Fuck it, if Kat wasn’t going to help him out than he gave himself free reign to anything in the house. Blake cracked open the fridge and pulled out some foiled wrap of unknown food. Cracking open the aluminum foil revealed a slice of cold pizza. ”Score,” Screw the eggs Kat had, he struck gold in her aunt’s fridge. Her phone kept going off on the table. When was she going to look at the damn thing? ”What are you so up in arms about?”
There was also the issue of all the bruising over Kat’s body. When the hell did she get marked up that bad? And how? It didn’t look like there was a pattern to it. Maybe she was into some weird stuff. He visibly shook his head at the thought of it. There were bigger issues at hand. Blake moved off from leaning on the fridge and stole the bottle away from Kat. ”Seriously, slow down.” He placed the bottle on the kitchen counter before returning his attention back towards Kat. Her attention was currently directed towards her phone. Now that he thought about it, where did he leave his? Hopefully it was somewhere in his jacket pockets because his jeans didn't have his phone or wallet. The more she typed away the more he got annoyed with her. ”Would you talk to me already Kathryn?”

Kat caught the shirt in the air and shrugged it on over her head. It was big on her petite body, and hung just above midway between her thighs. It didn't cover much, or any of, her toned and slightly bruised legs, but she guessed it must of worked for Blake. "Well, the blood from my knows went onto my hands when I wiped it, and then I just wiped my hands on my dress." She explained simply and matter of factly.
She finished about half her plate of eggs, felt it drop into her stomach, and became totally grossed out with the idea of food. She pushed her plate away, not really bothering to stand up and throw it away; she would do that later.Kathryn didn't really both to react when he took her booze either, she figured enough was probably enough. She looked up a little bit from her phone, and gave him sort of an eerie glare. Then something clicked in her mind. "You don't remember last night, do you? Of course you don't- you were too drunk." Kathryn wasn't talking as if she was mad, she actually sort of chuckled a little bit. Of course she still was mad, but she was starting to get over it a little all ready. "Last night I had a date at the club, and you didn't like that. I'm not sure what was up your ass, or if it was just the alcohol throwing the punches, but you pummeled him. And that, Sir Asshole, is why I am in a declining state of pissy-ness."
