Blake leaned back a bit against the tree he had found himself near. It was a bit abnormal to find the ever reclusive Thunder out in the grounds with a book. Usually Blake kept his rigorous study habits to himself in fear of damaging his image. Since no one really saw the boy study though, he felt it was okay every once and awhile to escape his dorm room. However, the grounds were somewhat popular today and the Thunder boy grew paranoid with every minute passing. Finally he tossed he book aside and subconsciously his grip tightened around the water bottle in his hand.
He loosened his grip, gaze wandering across the lawn. He wasn't feeling particularly social. How could he be with the intimidating air that was radiating from him for at least a mile radius. He tried to have an intense look on his face, which was only amplified by his perfected scowl. Often when his was in a foul mood he forgot others were around him. But when he made eye contact with a ninth year student, he could see it in their eyes as they gawked at him, which was evident in a pair of young girls, blushing at him and giggling as they looked away. Their non obvious whispers caused him to meet their gaze, knowing how out of place the young girls were here, and they turned away guiltily.
Not that he was one to talk. It would be a lie to say he hadn’t thought that such a public place was a bad idea to try and be by himself and think. He had to pull himself together. He was a Logan. The nature of humanity was all about appearances and he needed to act like he was in control of his emotions. He sat up and straightened out his posture. Hoping that no one was watching him, he brought a hand up to his hair and made sure it was still in place. People were drawn to those who appeared well put together. Blake took another swig of the water, something like a dark smirk touching his lips as he dwelled on his thoughts, only making the boy appear much more charming.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - YOU'VE LEFT ME SPEECHLESS and so happy i could die; - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Remy was slung her backpack over her shoulders, and rolled her eyes as the teacher shouted out the homework due tomorrow. Remy was an okay student, but she doubted she would be doing any homework. Ripley prevented her from doing a lot of things when she got home, but most of the teacher’s understood that she was a single mother. This teacher on the other hand was not one who cared whether she was a single mother. Homework was homework, and what Rems did or didn’t do was on her. Remy had a feeling she’d have to retake this class next semester, but she honestly didn’t care. The halls were crowded with people as she made her way out towards the grounds. Clicks of students were scattered throughout the hallway. Often they were gossiping about the latest break up or couple. There had been a time when Remy had been the center of their gossip, but people quickly learned their place. Not that Rems cared what they thought about her. More often then not, people now ask her about Ripley. Have a kid, and everyone wants to be the auntie or god mother. Rems rolled her eyes at the thought.
As she found herself outside, Remy’s eyes wandered about. She saw some kids joking around, having a good time. She even saw some kids practicing their element. She let out a big sigh, making her bangs fall into her eyes. At that moment, she didn’t care. She just let them fall into her face, which gave her a more menacing look. At least, she thought so. A freshman, or she assumed so, steered way towards the left of her as she walked by him. Honestly, Rems was the one of the nicest people, but she had a bad reputation because of her choices way back in the day. It doesn’t help that she had a bad boy ex boyfriend who would beat people up just for fun. Now that she could understand. But really, that was all in the past, and she just wished people would see that she wasn’t really like that any more. She had changed for the good of her daughter. Remy had actually grown up, but reputation seemed to get in the way of that.
With that, she forced the thoughts out of her head. She glanced up, and saw a somewhat familiar face leaning against a tree. She got a large grin on her face, and she made her direction towards him. He didn’t look like he wanted to be bothered, but what did Rems care? Her boots crunched under the grass as she approached the boy, and when she arrived near him, she grinned down at him. She sat down in front of him, and made herself comfortable. She threw her backpack to the side, and smirked at the boy. “Well hello there handsome. You looked lonely, so I thought I would bless you with my presence,

A nearby voice pulled Blake out of his reverie. ”And what makes you think-” Mid sentence Blake cut himself off as he got his first real glance of the person who invited themselves into Thunder’s presence. There sitting before him was a small looking red head girl beaming at him. Before he could shoot her down and send her on her way he paused. ”Well,” he thought, anyone who called him handsome certainly didn’t need to be shooed away so quickly. ”Beautiful and kind, how lucky for me,” he replied. "The world needs more ladies like you to keep us lonely guys company." With another quick glance at the girl he actually squinted at her as if it would jog his memory. Where had he seen her before? She was not like the usual sort of people he surrounded himself with, at least based on her current appearance. Still there was something about her that was causing him to pick his brain.
It was the hair. Not many people had hair that stuck out as much as this girl’s did. Blake went through a mental checklist of places he could have run into her. Definitely not from the Thunder dorms, he determined. She didn’t look familiar from classes either. Considering that Blake’s social life was a joke, the only other places he could have seen her before was at various parties he would crash. Sorting through drunk memories he was finally able to put a name to the face. ”Remy right?” he asked with some uncertainty, even his head cocked to the side a bit as he waited for confirmation. The more he thought about it the more he felt confident about his guess.
Loud music, flashing lights, and spilled solo cups came into mind and Blake smirked at the memories. Blake knew he had recognized that bright red hair from somewhere. He and this Remy girl seemed to always be at the same parties but never got to socialize. At least to his recollection. There are a few nights in his life that he only remembered through stories he heard the next morning. Staring at the girl now Blake prayed he didn’t make a fool of himself in one of his less than stellar moments. So far he was intrigued with what he saw in her. She was different for him, but nice so far. ”We've definitely have been to a few parties down by the lake together, haven't we? Were you at the one last Saturday?”
