”I’m only scary when I don’t try,” she said. Flex a little muscle, raise some voices, and put on a fancy little show with her water abilities. That seemed to be comical to anyone who witnessed her fail at the imitating tactics. ”I think my enthusiasm will be enough to drive them away.” Not all of them, but she was understanding of differences between people. Why not only a few days ago she had the sneaking suspicion that she had pushed someone past the breaking point. Nell had a point about asking where the bathrooms were. As long as she had somewhere to ‘go’ then life would be a-okay abroad. ”I’m going to call him Dr. Dale because right now, with no mental image, all I’m picturing is Doogie Howser. And I will sing that killer keytar lick in my head every time he is mentioned.” They don’t make shows like that anymore. American tele everybody! Creating magic on film for everyone to enjoy.
Jessie wasn’t surprised to hear Nell had some privacy in her life. To be honest, Jessie was the minority. Not many people went around babbling on about whatever went on in their lives. The artist had no filter what so ever. At any given moment she was ready to share what was on her mind prompted or not. ”I can respect that,” Jessie said. Now that she knew how Nell felt, she wouldn’t push her to say anything. A girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do in this day and age. Jessie was a mystery all right. Not in the same sense as everyone else, more like, how could such a strange person such as this exist in this world? She was an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a slice of tofu bacon. Jessie pumped her fists in victory, the bracelets she wore jingling along with her celebration. ”Victory is mine,” She has dodged the medical wing bullet for today. So long sucka’s, Jessie Yates will not be partaking in any of your activities today. Truthfully, it was going to happen at some point here so why rush fate when she can relax outside of the horrible wing. ”I’ve got some resilience in me. Can’t be a spunky little kid without bouncing back every now and then!”
Nell should go visit the UK if she ever had a chance. Paris may be the city of love, but London had some wonderful things to offer as well. Big Ben was way more practical than the Eiffel Tower. Jessie didn’t see any photos of the tower being able to tell the time as well as look pretty. ”Oh I don’t think they’ll take to kindly to that now. All of their stuff is home made, and Momma don’t like people asking too many questions now, you hear?” Of course this shop had special treats to help wind down a bit. Certain items could only be purchased at certain times of the day as to not tip off any unwanted visitors from the law. Jessie was smart enough to shut her mouth on that helpful tip. She needed to at least pretend to be a bit professional around the student body even if she didn’t teach them. ”No love, I can’t keep you away from your studies any longer.” Jessie dug through the contents of her bag as she searched for her business card. Pulling one out that wasn’t crinkled from the contents of her purse she handed it off to the student. ”Nell, you’ve been a wonderful tour guide. If you ever need anything or want to get together give me a ring. I’ve got my mobile on there somewhere. We can make those smoothies and hang out with Dr. Dale.”
