Altair took the paper in hand, running her french manicure over the typed words. Funny these castles have computers, she scoffed in her head. It had amazed the Brit that there were even castles in Canada, but then again, she had never paid much mind to the country before coming here. The older girl made a note of the classes in her head, before lifting her eyebrow at the girl’s question, not moving her eyes from the words on the paper. After a moment, she held out Ashley’s schedule and looked her in the eyes. ”There are life skills courses,” she explained, not questioning why the girl was interested in them. She figured she might like children or some shit. Altair couldn’t say she was the same. She never paid much attention to the kiddies. Well, save for the fact that she tried her best not to have any with the kind of life she led. ”I don’t know exactly what goes on in those courses or what they teach, but if you’re looking for parenting shit, then it’s likely your best bet.”
Deciding she might as well reprise her role of tour guide, she figured she might as well explain some things about where they sat now. ”Well,” Altair began, moving her ice blue eyes around the room, ”This here’s the mess hall. Exciting, ain’t it? The leaders usually come here to make announcements, like the war, for example. Other than that, it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing to interesting, save for fights breaking out.” It happened quite a bit during the war, especially in the mess hall. If one wanted to avoid confrontation, they stayed in their dormitories. It was the best bet for avoiding a fight. Of course, Altair would rather not avoid violence, so she rather enjoyed the mess hall. ”Questions?” she said dryly, because even though she was a major bitch, she did have a good sense of humor. She wasn’t stand-offish all the time.

Altair had looked deep in thought after taking Ashley’s schedule. She really doubted that she was thinking about what classes she had but she wasn’t about to ask what was on her mind. Ashley took the paper back and looked at it again as Altair answered her question. If there were any type of parenting courses Ash would want to be taking them. She made a mental note to go back to the office later and find out more information. Even if there was nothing specifically about kids, life skill courses seemed like her thing, more so the music. Ashley nodded to thank her friend for answering the question.
Ashley folded the paper putting it in her pocket and returning her attention to Altair who had begun to speak. From what she could tell the mess hall was a fairly important place, lots of people fighting and wars being announced. Not to mention this was where you needed to come to eat. Ashley shook her head. There was nothing more to really say about this place. Ash finished her drink and began to get a bit restless. The school still seemed so big and complex but Ash picked things up quick. It shouldn’t be much harder from here on out.
