Let's just say that Sam really couldn't wait to see what was going to happen with this even though she did have a little bit of an idea of who she had in mind and to be honest, she couldn't wait to see what happened next. "Don't worry," She said with a little bit of a smirk, "If that doesn't work I have someone in mind also." Sam had a feeling that even though it something bi got ask that he might just change his mind. There were things that she knew about him that some people might want to know. Smirking a little she laughed and grabbed her phone and just wait to see what was going to happen with who she had in mind. Though there was something that she really wanted to know, the contents of the camera that she was currently holding though she had a feeling that it held some really good blackmail footage.
As soon as Nell brought out the Spanish food Sam couldn't but feel just a little at home. Both of her parents used to eat that type of food all the time, back when they lived in Australia. "Definitely the Spanish dishes," She said and you could definitely see just a little bit of drool coming from the side of her mouth. "I will help if you need." Sam offered knowing that she had had some experience with this type of food as she had help her mother a few times in the past with these sort of things.
"Aww~" Sam said with a really weird look on her face. She had always loved Japanese plants and culture, though she hadn't tried to create a bonsai before, considering she knew that she would have the power on her own to do something like that. Now she had a partner and she knew that they could do something like this. "Not really," Sam said, knowing that she knew a few others but that this would be something funny but also easy to maintain, "A bonsai would be a good idea to do as it is easy to maintain once we do grow it." She said what was on her mind, for once.

Just as she was about to respond to Sam, Nell’s phone buzzed and she read the text aloud. ”’I am not your bitch, woman. Ask my penis at a later date.’” She tilted her head. ”Well, I guess that’s a no.” She tossed the phone on her couch with a chuckle, and looked over at Sam. ”All right, back up plan.” One thing about Nell was that she didn’t mind it when she had to make adjustments or things fell through. It helped so she didn’t get too stressed out. If she were the kind of person to be easily bothered by those kinds of things, she wouldn’t have been so eager to juggle her schoolwork, her job, her social life, her father… Nell tried not to let things get to her because she knew what it was like for that to happen. It wasn’t pretty.
Nell grinned at Sam’s approval of the Spanish dishes, checking to see what ingredients she had. ”I make a darn good paella, and patatas bravas if you want something spicy.” She had learned how to cook from her father, and she supposed that might have been something that someone would have been okay with telling others, but even little tidbits of information about herself for casual conversation were neglected. She was not only personal, but she didn’t really see the point in talking about herself. ”That would be lovely, Sammers,” Nell said as she got a box of rice from the cabinets. She liked the teamwork involved in cooking with others, so while she enjoyed taking care of everything herself, she also enjoyed others’ company. ”Can you dice the tomatoes and onions while I take care of the seafood?” Paella had to be one of her favorite dishes, thoguh her favorite food wasn’t even Spanish.
She blinked and chuckled at her friend’s expression. ”So I take it you like the bonsai?” Nell said, eyes bright with amusement. Her knowledge of Japanese culture extended to a few books and the origami paper cranes she folded. Of course, the reason she folded the cranes was not because of the Japanese origin, but because of the lore behind it. ”Yeah, it’d be a pretty cool way to do it.” As she measured out the rice for the paella, she looked away and nodded a bit, trying to think of anything else they’d have to do. ”I think we’re pretty mcuh set for now. Got anything else you think we should do?” They were already going above and beyond, and Nell would like to take pride in that fact. There wasn’t much else that they’d need.

As soon as she had seen Nell throw her phone onto the couch she figured that whoever she had just asked had said no, even though she would never understand why someone wouldn't want to dress as The Knave! He was, and has always been, on of Sam's favorite Alice in Wonderland character, 'Other than the Mad-Hatter that is.' She thought to herself as she heard that they would need a backup plain to make this work. Walking back over to her bag she quickly opened up the side pocket and grabbed her phone, quickly running through the contacts she knew someone that might for it but it may need just a little convincing. All that she knew was that she knew things and that they where funny as hell. As soon as she found the right person for the job she quickly sent them a text saying; 'Heys (: Would you be able to do me a super mega huge favor? <3 Sam.' In the back of her mind all she could do was hope that her would be up for it. "Lets just hope that this goes to plan, right!" Sam said with a very enthusiastic tone of voice.
As Nell began to list off a few of the Spanish dishes she could make, Sam could have sworn that she started to droll just thinking about it. It wasn't really until this point that she realized how hungry she really was. "Anything will do," Sam said with a very laid-back tone, "If you are gonna make it than I know it will be good!" Once Nell had grabbed a few things from the cupboard she began to look around for a knife and a cutting board that she could begin to cut up some of the ingredients. "You bet that I can," Sam said with a smile on her face, "I am totally pro that this sort of stuff." She finished with a little bit of a laugh.
Once Nell had asked wither or not, Sam couldn't help but just shift her eyes from side to side just a little bit. "What gave that away?" She asked with a sly smile on her face. Though it had been evident that she had, once again, come up with a really good idea and for her to come up with something this later on in the planning was very unheard of. Sam was one of those people that could come up with multiple ideas when the planning as started but as soon as they had gotten into it, she was as blank as the colour black. "Nothing that I can really think of."

While Sam busied herself with texting her back-up plan, Nell decided it was a good a time as any to water her plants. She liked to keep herself busy, and besides, they were looking a little sad. How did a plant look sad? Well, an Earth student would certainly know how to look for the signs. She filled up her pail in the kitchen and went around to each of the flowers and plants, giving them the water they needed. The ones further away from the window were the ones she needed to pay extra attention to, since the lack of sunlight made them look a little worse for ware. For that, she used her powers to help stabilize them. ”Yep, yep,” Nell said, her usuall repetition tic coming through with her excitement as she put the pail back in the kitchen cabinet. Well, kitchen was too kind a word for it—kitchenette was more accurate. "Hopefully they hit you back up soon."
She could practically see her friend’s pupils dilate with the prospect of food, and Nell could certainly relate. Waving a hand in front of her face and rolling her eyes back, she said in an airy tone, ”Oh, you flatter, dear.” She wasn’t too good of a cook, but she guessed she inheritated that usual male gene in the Fuentes family. Nell wondered if her father had ever wanted a son, but then thought about his relationship with his father. Maybe he preferred a daughter because his relationship with her grandfather hadn’t really worked out. But then again, didn’t men want a son to pass down their ways and traditions? She supposed that she was that son for León—he taught her almost everything he knew. Stop thinking about him like he’s a good guy, she thought bitterly as she turned on the stove and focused her attention on Sam. [color=663399”I am just jealous of your skills,”
Nell said with wonderment. ”I like to watch you dice them tomatoes, girl.” Her Bronx accent sure helped in making that sound as ghetto as possible. Nell enjoyed the smell of the shrimp as she ut them in a pan to simmer. As with all Fuentes men, she liked to mix things up. She didn’t enjoy sticking to a cook book definition, since that left little freedom. Of course, random concoctions didn’t always work out too well. But most of the time, she’d have to say her dishes were successful. “I don’t know, man, I was just getting these vibes from you,” she told Sam. ”I know you too well. I think we need to see other people.” She said, tossing the shrimp up in an exaggerated flourish. It seemed that the girl couldn’t think of anything to add to their list and Nell said, ”Then we are done. Don’t want too much on our plate, anyway…Even though I usually like having things on a plate.” She waggled her eyebrows at her joke. That was the thing about Nell—she didn’t mind making herself looking idiotic. [/blockquote][/blockquote] [/blockquote]

As soon as Sam had finished texting she placed her phone back into it's pocket and sighed. She really hoped that they would come through for her in her time of need and all that stuff. Though she really hoped that wouldn't so that she wouldn't have to see him in a Knave costume because she knew that she wouldn't be able to stop laughing during their presentation if he did agree to doing this. She turned around after thinking about this and saw Nell watering her plants. Sam knew how much just little things like that could change a place, all too well. Even though she wasn't really that good at taking care of these types of things. She had gotten better over the past couple of months but other than it, she had always kept the same habits if forgetting thing after thing. "Lets just hope that they say yes!" Sam said with an enthusiastic tone of voice.
Sam knew that one of the only things she was good at, other than music, was the fact that she could cook. Even though some of the things that she cooked weren't the best things that she had ever done, in other words they tasted like a pile of poop in the middle of a dump, she still tried and tried to get things right until she finally did. Though as soon as she heard what Nell had said as soon as she started to dice the tomatoes she really couldn't help but laugh. It sounded like she had just come from America for a vacation. "You know that you are jealous of these skills." She said with a smile on her face. "What about you? Those skills are amazing!"
It was just a bit of shock to hear those words coming from Nell at this point. She didn't want them to split, they had been really close for the past couple of years and this had been the last thing that she wanted to happen. But as soon as she realized that she was just putting on an act Sam decided just to play on a little, "I know what you mean." She said with just a bit of a laugh, knowing that if anyone had walked in that it would be really awkward for all of them. As soon as she had said they where done Sam looked around and smiled. "Having things on plates are always good."

When Sam mentioned her hope about them saying yes, Nell crossed her fingers and looked skywards as if that would help. Of course, there was still plenty of people they could ask, but it was always nice when things fell together. For now, she’d just work on her paella. Well, her and Sam’s paella. The girl was doing a damn good job for someone who wasn’t Spanish. ”I am so jealous,” she cried, working on sauteeing her seafood. The smell was great already, and it would get even better once all the ingredients came together. Nell snorted. ”Let’s just wait until I end up burning something seemingly fire retardant.” She wasn’t too much of a klutz or anything, but she did not have a good record with kitchen appliances. Almost everything in her tiny kitchenette was bought recently after one mishap or another. And other things that needed to be done around her house could be challenging for her at times.
She didn’t realize that Sam had taken her seriously for a moment. If she did, she would steer even further away from mentioning the trial that could separate them for a very long time. Even then, she knew that she would have to eventually tell her friend about her ‘vacation’ in December. It was a long time away, so she didn’t think she needed to mention it just yet. ”But then again, since you make kick ass food, I’ll keep you around,” she teased. No, she wouldn’t trade Sam for anything or anyone and the thought of losing her to this trial was terrifying. She might have to lose so much though. Nell tried not to think about it as she let the seafood simmer and told her friend, ”Tell me about.” Both in terms of food and life, at least. Though she could do without the trial, especially since she was thinking so much about it at that moment. She just wanted it to go away.
