Harley simply smiled at the crazy red head. She really hoped that Beatrice was okay with her because Harley really liked the woman. Beatrice reminded Harley of Charolette in so many ways, except Beatrice was younger. Again, Harley was bright red. Wow, this was becoming embarassing. The red head watched as the other walked out. She raised a curious brow at Samson before he kissed her. It was different from the park kiss. It seemed more forceful, like if the two pressed together hard enough, they'd become one. Harley couldn't stop herself when she ran her hand through Samson's hair. It was definatly a heated kiss, and she was sad that it had to end. But, they did need to breath as well. Harley gave a slight smile, and took the bread from him. She grabbed the things she needed to make the 'mighty grilled cheese'.
The red head buttered her bread, and tossed them onto the heated pan, and watched as they sizzled. Harley grinned, and started to unwrap the cheese. "So, she isn't eating then? How unlucky for her then,"
she tol dhim with a shrug. Harley chuckled at him, and clucked her tonuge. Charolette would've whooped her if she ever sat on her counters. No doubt, the old bat would've whooped Samson too. Harley placed the cheese on the toast, then came the real magic. She flipped the bread so it could brown a little. "Uh, well, imagine Beatrice, just.. older. Oh, and she's an Earth element, so she is also really hippie-ish. She makes me eat health," Harley scruntched up her nose at the last part. Worst part of living with the old bat. Finally, Harley scooped up one grilled cheese for Samson, and the other for her. She handed it to him, then went to lean against the counter. "I guess I can't say anything bad about the woman, though. She took care of Kansas after," Harley choked up for a moment, then continued, "After my parents died. I never stayed 'cause Charolette sent me here." For a moment, Harley concentrated on her grilled cheese, and how the cheese oozed from the sides when she bit into it. "Anyways, Charolette isn't all that bad," she told him, then took a bite of her cheese sandwhich. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

At harley’s description of her grandmother, Samson smirked. He texted out on his phone, ”Well that’s not a pretty picture.” He was joking of course. He didn’t even mind that Charlotte was Earth. Sure, they were the enemy and they were at war with them, but outside of the Academy it was a different story. He lived with a Water elemental, after all, and she didn’t really care about the war currently going on. She only cared about Samson and his well-being. Of course, he couldn’t pretend there was a whole unity thing going on outside of the Academy, far from it, but what went at school did not touch the lives of other elementals unless they had children or relatives attending. ”Damn health nuts.” Samson himself loved pizza more than anything, so he could sympathize with Harley.
Still sitting on the counter, Samson took the grilled cheese and began eating. Harley did not joke, it was fucking amazing. Of course, it was just grilled cheese, but the best grilled cheese he believed he ever had. After a rather large bite, Samson brushed his fingers off on the leg of his jeans, noticing how speaking had affected Harley somehow. In a physical sign of comfort, he patted her head and leaned down to kiss her red hair before using his phone to actually speak. ”Can’t be that bad, if she raised you.” Then, she said something that he never knew about her before. Her parents had died. It took him a little bit, but he texted out, ”My parents died too. Guess you could figure with Beatrice.” You didn’t get taken in by batshit ladies because your parents wanted you to have a vacation. ”We both have people to care for us now.” Even though Samson couldn’t go into a long-winded explanation of everything, of how he felt and his life story, he figured that was enough. He wasn’t going to poke or prod for more information about her parents. No, he just picked up his sandwhich and started eating the orgasmic piece of cheese and bread.

harley smiled at samson's text; she knew he was kidding. charolette didn't get involved with politics. the old woman had never been much of a political kind of lady. when harley told charolette what was going on, she was disapppinted in the academy, and all the students involved. of course, there was a long lecture, and all the nonsense of parenting. harley gave a small smile, and said, "yeah, definatly. i think it's the worst part when i go over there. she and kansas are vegitarians, and always say that i should be too."
harley rolled her eyes at the thought. she couldn't give up her meat. she loved it too much. plus, healthy food was no bueno. other than being a health nut, and nagging all the time, charolette was great. the fire student grinned when she watched samson chow down on the sandwich. harley liked that she could satisfy a growing guy with a simple grilled cheese. harley gave a small, but sad smile when samson kissed the top of her head. "not really; she raised kansas most of the time. i only come home during the summer, and weekends. i am glad that is around though. i'd hate to know it'd be my fault that kansas went to strangers," harley told him before she froze. maybe he wouldn't notice the last part. harley had never said that before. she hadn't even told her sister. harley had made charolette swear not to say anything because harley wanted to be the one to tell her. harley always feared that kansas would hate her for taking their parents away from her; that kansas would resent her for being able to know them, bu she hadn't gotten the chance too. a silent tear rolled down her cheek, but she quickly whipped it away. she smiled up at samson, and said, "really? at least you got someone like beatrice; she's great." harley finished off the rest if her sandwich, then swaked over to set the plate in the sink. she leaned against the sink, and watched samson for a moment before letting her eyes wander around. "yeah, thank god for that," harley agreed. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Samson smirked and looked down at his phone as he texted his next response. He thought it ironic how people thought it was rude when most people did that during a conversation and he had to do it to hold a conversation. ”Vegetarianism is overrated,” the text read. He wasn’t much for it himself. Not that he ate meat all the time, but he couldn’t live without hamburgers and steaks and what have you. But it was a lifestyle choice, and to each his own.
Listening intently as she spoke, it sounded like a lot of growing pains for Harley and her family. It sucked that people had to go through the things they did and were forced away from their family, but such was life. Despite the redhead’s wishes, Samson noticed her pause. ”Your fault?” he wrote into the phone, now curious. She obviously didn’t want her sister to go throguh the foster care system, but how would that have been her fault? Of course, she had every righ not to answer—if she changed the subject, he would understand.
Samson looked up at the ceiling, now done with his sandwhich. Someone like Beatrice? Yes, Harley was very right in saying that. He’d be in foster care if the woman hadn’t shown up at the hospital and given him a comically large lollipop and swept him away to British Columbia. ”She’s something else.” Sometimes he wished he could carry nostalgia through words on a screen, but it wouldn’t be possible. Yes, Beatrice was something else and she was also the best thing that had happened to Samson since his parents’ death. And now he had Harley. Yes, he had some very good people in his life now.
(We should finish this up. ^^)
