WEATHER AND UPDATES
MONTH DECEMBER SEASON WINTER
UPDATES
04.12.09 Right, I tried putting it off for as long as I could, but eventually it had to be done. All inactive leader positions have been revoked. Also, to replace some of the positions, everyone now has the option of having two leader characters.
30.07.09 I have returned! I apologize to you all for my absence, but of course you know it wasn't voluntary. Great thanks to Allie for keeping it alive - I owe you. So I made her an administrator as well :)
19.06.09 We're in desperate need of Water and Earth students at the moment, if people haven't noticed. Those that we do have aren't very active, with the exception of a few members, you know who you are. It's sort of odd having the majority of the characters as Thunder and Fire, considering not only are they allies, but they're also the dark elements. We need some more peacekeepers, geez!
Also, my exams are almost over, so I'll probably try and come up with a new plot after the summer kicks in for precious old Canada over here! Tee hee!

hunting 'lessons' ;; ronan « Thread Started on Aug 8, 2009, 3:21am »
The handsome vampire skidded to a graceful stop about five feet into the trees - the wilderness was thick enough here that he was confident no one would see he and Ronan, so he could give her a quick run-down on the hunting territories before they went blindly into the forest. He'd bugged some kid in his element named Ryan until he'd told him about the hunting grounds - but it turned out Ryan favored himself and hated the other vampires as most of them had friendships with the fire leader. So he'd went after Alex's close friend Jeremy instead, and had got the correct information that he needed.
"Okay," he said, turning to Ronan. "So, awesome as it would be to just go psycho in the forest and kill anything, anywhere, there are rules and boundaries at the Academy. Everyone has their own territories that they use. Over that way-" he gestured into the thickest, darkest part of the woods - one of the best places, "- is unfortunately taken. Ever heard of Alex? He shares it with his girlfriend, and some friend of his called Jeremy. The other Jeremy's territory is over there - he hunts alone. Ryan and Serena govern that part of the woods. The werewolves divided that half of the forest between themselves apparently, but who'd want to hunt near those scum anyways?" He spat in obvious dislike. "I'm not sure where Jacklynn hunts, but I don't really want to know."
He let the scents wash over him. "My hunting ground is that way," he pointed out, then took off without warning, not glancing behind him to see if she was keeping up.

Ronan stopped just behind Drake, looking at the forest in awe. She listened in silence as the extremely annoying, spiteful, hot, sexy vampire told her where each of the territories were. She noticed how Drake spat when he mentioned the werewolves, causing Ronan to take a inhale the scents around her. A fould smell reached her nose and she assumed it to be werewolf as it was coming from the direction Drake pointed. When he finally said where his territory was, he took off at a run. Ronan followed, a few feet behind him, never taking her deep brown eyes off his back.

When at last they reached his territory, the scents of the other territories faded into the background, and Drake slowed to a graceful jog, then finally slowed to a walk before stopping altogether. His territory, while not as big or as lush and full of prey as the bigger territory governed by the fire leader, was enough to support him - and there would be enough left over if Ronan were to hunt here as well. But it wasn't animals he was interested in today, no, he'd actually planned something a little different. A pretty girl from the village, an orphan with no relatives or friends, had been seduced by him, and had agreed to meet him in this very section of woods tonight. She'd be bringing the one person she did trust, her shrink. A bit strange, maybe, but it worked out. He could take the girl, and Ronan could take down the man.
"A lot of the vampires prefer to drink animal blood," Drake said calmly, "but human blood makes us strong. It helps us faster adapt to control. I understand that you might want to be a good girl," he smirked mockingly at her, "and keep your hands clean, but you should at least start with drinking human blood for the first two weeks or so - unless you can feign sickness well enough that they'll keep you out of classes until you're stupid enough to try and survive it." He leaned against a nearby tree. "There are some people coming here. No one would notice they're gone. You can hold yourself back if you've got enough strength, and try for an animal instead, but believe me, I'll be killing them both if you don't want to share." Drake smirked and flipped his hair in an attractive manner.

"Don't worry, I think I can handle it." Ronan growled lightly, watching the sun lower from its position in the sky. "I'm not some goody-good, you know. I'd think you'd have learned that after my attempt to attack you."

"And I'm not some ass who can't back the shit I say up," Drake said coolly, turning to glance at her with a mocking smirk. "I thought you'd have learned that when I kicked your ass." Chuckling slightly, he tossed his black hair from his eyes again - he was very vain, and seen himself in a glorious light, he was amazing to himself.
Without warning, the wind flowed toward them and Drake was hit with the scent of two people, headed this way. One scent was the familiar one of the orphan woman, and the other that of a male, whom Drake assumed to be the shrink she was seeing to cope with her lack of friendships and a relationship. Drake had charmed her because he knew she was dependent on relationships, she'd do anything to have a guy to welcome home. Foolish girl.
Voices reached them.
"Oh, John, relax," the girl was laughing. "It'll be fine, he was really nice and sweet, he said his name was... Dirk or something like that. I'm not quite sure, he had to leave quickly."
"I'm not so sure," the male voice answered hesitantly.
"Fuck," Drake cursed softly. "We don't want to give them time to scream. He might have some way of contacting the authorities - take him down before he gets the chance." Drake tensed his shoulders and glared to the part of the trees he knew they would come through. "I take the girl." Before she could say anything in response, Drake had climbed a tree and made his way through the tangled branches of the others until he'd positioned himself in a perfect aerial-attack place. Then she passed underneath him, and he dropped, his crushing weight landing on her shoulders, breaking both of them simultaneously.
"My name's Drake, by the way," he drawled, "and I'm anything but charming." He sank his fangs into her neck.

Ronan watched as Drake climbed the tree, ready to drop onto the girl. She made her way around the people in a wide circle, silently creeping close to the male. As Drake landed on the female, a sickening crunch echoed in the forest. Ronan pounced on the male, John, pushing down as hard as she could on his neck, waiting until a crunch to show that it was broken.
"He's right," Ronan growled, attaching her fangs to his neck. "He's definitely not charming."

[Haha these two as enemies are almost as entertaining as Alex and Migoto were when THEY hated each other]
After draining the girl of blood, Drake felt renewed strength and vigor fill his bloodstream, and just to get off some of the excess energy, he seized hold of the nearest tree trunk and then shoved his weight against it - with a deafening splinter and then a crash that shook the forest floor, the tree fell. Drake cracked his knuckles and sat on the felled trunk, licking the blood from his teeth with a nonchalant expression.

Ronan finished off her meal and sat five feet away from Drake on a large boulder, her arms crossed. She was staring directly at him, but was deep in thought. Her finhers drummed on the boulder, making a rhytmic noise.
((XD, I love this...um are they going to be a pairing? Either way, I love this enemy-ship))

[Hm... I think that this COULD work out. But let's keep them 'frenemies' for a while... it's fun XD]
Drake sat there for a while, relaxing, seeming to be statue still. Then, at last, he stirred, his ebony hair fluttering lightly in the wind as he got to his feet. "Ready to leave, or are you going to stare at me for a while longer?" he asked Ronan mockingly.

Drake blinked - he was showing proper emotion for the first time since they'd set off on this little hunting trip. She was thanking him? He was clearly in shock by the expression on his face. He opened his mouth as if to say something again, then shut it again and gave her a simple nod before slipping into the shadows and dashing alone through the trees.
