Tongue stuck out in focus, Nell pressed her blue crayon against the coloring page. Sure, princesses weren't supposed to be green, but in her head she had created an alien princess race. They came to earth looking for human princes to abduct and take back to their home planet. She turned the book slightly, looking entirely too focused for the activity she was participating in.
She'd come to the library because an old teacher of hers told her that a student needed help in math. Of course, she accepted immediately, with eagerness that should have only been expressed when going to a concert or being offered a lot of free candy. Helping people got her very excited, so much so that she had even read up on some of the tenth grade syllabus. Whatever she could. She hadn't actually been in the tenth grade, but she knew a lot of it already. Though she didn't want to, she remembered her father leaning over her shoulder at the kitchen table, pointing out some problems she could do from and old and worn textbook. He had always thought sciences and maths to be the most important, and even though she enjoyed them enough to be majoring in psychology now, she had always had an interest in the more creative subjects. History and English and all the books she had read as a child, the stories that her mother told her.
However, she did not think of her past a lot, and so those thoughts had always been fleeting. She made a little frustrated huffing noise when she chose the blue and it turned out to be purple, disturbing the silence in the section. She was near the front of the library, where a group of tables were situated for studiers who didn't mind being around other people. She never liked the little cubbies, they felt like they were closing in on her. She hoped....Ivanna, that's her name, that's a pretty name...wouldn't mind. The teacher said that he would tell the young girl to meet Nell in the library so they can get comfortable with each other. After all, Nell didn't expect to do much today. She may have been just a little too easy on people.
Even though it was her and many other Earth's favorite season, when the weather grew warm and pleasant, she wore her Yankees sweatshirt in combination with her jeans and sneakers. She didn't throw it on in a messy fashion -- she compensated wit her nice hair -- but after a while of sitting, it was becoming a little too warm. Nell crossed her arms and started to lift up her shirt, a tee underneath it proclaiming her love for She struggled for a few more moments, before sighing, her arms lifted up, half out of the sleeves with her face still in the sweatshirt.

Ivanna, thankful that the bitter cold of winter had finally passed had been outside soaking up the sun's warm rays when she suddenly remembered that today was the day she was supposed to meet with her new tutor. She made a face, definitely not excited about spending the afternoon polishing up on her math skills, and made to rise from her comfortable spot sprawled on the grass by the lake. A dizzying head rush nearly knocked her off her feet, but she managed to stay upright, gather her things and began to stumble blindly towards the doors to the Academy, eyes squeezed shut while she waited for the rush to pass. The redhead had been plagued by clumsiness for as long as she could remember, and it had been making things especially difficult for her as of late. She laughed to herself recalling the incident involving her keys and a locked door, and a none too gracious spill in the gardens.
On her way through the front doors, she barreled into a passing schoolmate and gave a rushed apology, realizing she probably should not leave her tutor waiting any longer. Ivanna hoped she would not be a cranky old woman - her professor had only given the tutor's name, and where to meet her, nothing more. The girl picked up her pace, loose cardigan billowing out behind her - like a cape! Nearly out of breath by the time she reached the library, she stopped for a moment and leaned up against the wall outside the door to catch her breath.
"Well, here we go,"
she muttered to herself once she'd caught her breath, pushing off the wall and entering the library. Her forest eyes scanned the tables at the front of the room, looking for someone that could be her tutor - there was only one occupied table, where a girl sat obviously very consumed in what she was doing. Ivy approached and watched as the girl attempted - and failed - to remove her sweatshirt. She giggled to herself, hand covering her mouth. "Um... Nell?" Ivanna asked tentatively, clutching her books tightly. This was turning out to be quite amusing. CREDITS! Template By arro @ Caution! LYRICS! Nell didn't think of how concerning a position this really was considering that she had a student coming in soon. Not that she really upheld this imagine of propriety and affluence. Looking at her, one wouldn't guess that she lived in a mansion with her husband the medical student; she looked like any other college student trying to make it through the day. And it was difficult to embarrass her, anyway, so that wasn't the worrying part of this scenario. The worrying part was that she had very acute claustrophobia that could trigger at the worst of times. Having her head stuck in her hoodie? One of those triggers. She kept her breaths light and even so that she wouldn't freak out when she realized just how hard it was to breathe in there. No air, and it felt like she wouldn't be able to get out. It was insane to think that, but she couldn't help it. The same had happened when she'd been stuck in the storage room with Harley, though she had been concerned enough about him that that was all that had mattered.
I'm going to be stuck here forever, aren't I? She didn't want to think like that, oh god no. Even though when it came to her issues she didn't have a very positive view, she forced herself to keep an entirely optimistic outlook. It was just a hoodie. This was not a straight jacket. She almost winced. Probably not the best train of thought to have at the moment. Hearing a giggle and then the question of her name, she tried to shift her head so it was in a better position to speak. Why is this hoodie so tight? Her arms were still stuck in the holes and her head wouldn't come out. "Yes, hi, I'm Nell!" she said urgently, as if this person may leave her if she didn't answer right away. She had no idea who it was, a part of her was pretty sure it would be her student, but all in all this person knew her name and that was a good start. "Uhm, can you help me out? Just pull on the sleeves, please." While she may not have been easily embarrassed, she had pride that usually didn't allow her to ask for aid. However, a step away from a panic attack, she knew when to hedge her bets. The woman wriggled her fingers around, the rings on her left hand flashing when they caught the light.
