well i see your lips start moving, SPITTING OUT SOME KIND OF POISON THROUGH THEM SO C'MON, GIVE ME WHAT YOU GOT NOW, BIRDS Nell scratched the dog behind his ears, listening as the woman explained about him. "He's a good dog, really. People just...get intimidated by the size, I guess. He's pretty scary looking, isn't he?" The woman, Maya, smiled as she said it though, clearly fond of the dog. Yes, Nell thought that Dom would love him because of that. In her mind, it suited the girl. She could hardly imagine the Wind with something like a pug, or a shaky little thing that could pass as a cat. "He's adorable, actually," Nell said as she scratched him behind his ears. "Does he have a name?" Maya nodded. "His name is Ludwig, but you could change it, if you like." She gave Nell a look, raising her eyebrow. "That is...if you're taking him." She nodded her head, knowing what they did to dogs in pounds when they weren't taken by owners. She wished she could take all of them home, and with the mansion, she probably could. There was simply them matter of them roaming around the house and the yard and the staff having to look out for them all.
Those were still weird thoughts. Mansion. Staff. Big, rich words, men with cuff links and cigars. No, she didn't much belong in that world. She still thought she belonged in that house back in New York, or the apartment she had gotten when she first came to Canada. Those are the places that she belonged in, not with Josh and his sister and the mansion and the garden that she wondered if she could give up. She'd never had a garden before, and it astounded her whenever she thought that she could just go into the backyard and do what she liked with it, work her magic. The maze was completed, but constantly in flux, changing every day as she pleased. Different walls and extensions, dead ends, different blooms. Sometimes it was a dream. A very good dream she woke up from.
Instead of taking all of the animals, she believed that she would like birds, maybe. Or butterflies. She would love it if they were attracted to her garden maze, but she wasn't getting them a lot in autumn. Thoughts of the chilly weather occupied her as she took the dog to the park, leash wrapped around her wrist as she held a coffee in the other hand. Suicide watch over the weekend always murdered her. Ludwig seemed perfectly pleased, however, as he trotted down the sidewalk alongside her, tongue lolling out of his mouth. She smiled at him, wondered if animals could understand expressions like that. She hoped they could. Upon reaching the park, she found a bench and sat down, the Doberman Pinscher sitting right beside her, gazing up curiously. Taking out her phone, she texted Dom. "Hey, you should come down to the park, kay. :]" She pocketed the phone and waited for her Wind friend to arrive.

Dom wasn’t really doing anything. She was lying in her bed reading Romeo and Juliet, her favourite Shakespearean play. Sure it just added to her weird factor. The dark silent Russian wind girl who had a violent temper when provoked and who harboured more secrets than the white house loved Romeo and Juliet, a tragic romance. Maybe it was because she knew she could never have a love like theirs that got to her. She could never have something so pure and true that would make both people feel so strongly about each other that living without one another was an impossibility. That murder and passion could mingle so freely. . . Dominika closed the book and sighed. ”I am so weird”
was what she thought aloud. The dorm was empty of any and all signs of human life, so Dom felt safe in her pajamas without any makeup on. Sadly, the dorm was also extremely boring. Instead of simply getting dressed in a normal fashion, Dominika had to do it her way. She dug through her clothing to find her black zip-up skirt and her flowy skull tank top. Her collection of boots was neatly arranged in front of her bed for her choosing, of course, Dom picked the first pair she saw. Next, came the accessories. Dom always enjoyed picking out her earring; she always got to wear two pears, a single stud, and her favourite cartilage piercing. To top off her look she wore the black dog collar her cousin Roksana had sent her for her birthday. Roksana and Dominika were pretty much alike in the way they dressed, but their personalities were pretty opposite... yet when they were around each other they seemed to balance each other out. Of course, just as Dom was about to do her regular heavy eye makeup, she got a text message from Nell. ”Hey, you should come down to the park, kay. :]”, Dom smiled. This was perfect. Nika had heard rumours about Nell going on trial for a crime. Further research was conducted and Nika discovered that it was for the murder of her mom. The article says it was in self-defence, that it was justified and not much more. In fact, not many others knew much about the ”Be rght thur, am I getting a surprise?!” Dominika quickly texted back as she attempted to coat her eyes in eyeliner. Nik was ready with a barrage of questions for Nell... but thinking on it, did she really want to put her friend through that? Her need to know was conflicting with her loyalty to her friends. It was not an emotion Dom could describe, nor one she wanted. She sighed, and took one last look at herself in the mirror. She felt like she looked like an attention seeking scared little girl. Most of the time she was, Dom was just smart enough not to show it to people. Her secrets were hers and hers alone, no one else needed to know them. She didn’t swell to much on it, as she grabbed her Sherlock pipe and stared to make her way to the park. [/blockquote][/blockquote] outfit

well i see your lips start moving, SPITTING OUT SOME KIND OF POISON THROUGH THEM SO C'MON, GIVE ME WHAT YOU GOT NOW, BIRDS Ludwig was very well-behaved, she couldn't imagine why anyone didn't want him before. Yeah, it must have been the size and age factor. She remembered Lark comparing the foster kids to shelter animals, how when they got older people didn't want them anymore. It was cruelly true. I would adopt everyone and everything. Like before in the shelter, it was an impossible fault to have. She couldn't care for so many, but she would like to. She took care of people, it was what she did best, looking out for others. And yet, while she thought of adoption easily, having her own kids was another fault, something entirely out there. She could barely comprehend it.
She received the text back, and blinked. Now, now, she didn't want to reveal the surprise! With the leash around her wrist, she texted back, "I just want to hang out. You can't hang out without a surprise?" It was a charade, of course. Nell just didn't want to give it away. Where was the fun in that? No, it was definitely better to let Dom think that she wanted to chill. And she did. Nell enjoyed her company, she was really interesting. Everyone had their quirks and uniqueness that drew in the Earth girl like a moth to the flame. Ironic, considering her element was not naturally attracted to Fire. And here she was, engaged to a Fire graduate. She didn't let her mind wander too far, simply looked at Ludwig as she waited, talking to him. "So what do you like to do in your free time, Lud? Chase sticks? Look at pretty little poodles?" Eh, it was entertaining her, at least.
When Dom did arrive to the park, Nell jumped up from the bench and shouted, "Surprise!" She danced around the dog, careful with the leash, sing-songing, "Betcha you didn't know, betcha you were totally caught off-guard." After all, it was a random thing to do, but Nell was prone to giving out food as random gifts. "I was visiting my friend who works at the shelter, and I saw him, and I wondered who would appreciate this guy. Then I remember a chica with the last name Pavlov would enjoy it very much. Get it? Get it?" She poked playfully at the Wind girl's side. "Pavlov's dog? I crack myself up." She tilted her head then, a bit serious now. "And hey, don't feel pressured to take him or anything. I would be more than happy to keep him." She had a mansion now, and Josh used to have a dog. She was sure he wouldn't be opposed.
