MONTH DECEMBER SEASON WINTER
UPDATES
04.12.09 Right, I tried putting it off for as long as I could, but eventually it had to be done. All inactive leader positions have been revoked. Also, to replace some of the positions, everyone now has the option of having two leader characters.
30.07.09 I have returned! I apologize to you all for my absence, but of course you know it wasn't voluntary. Great thanks to Allie for keeping it alive - I owe you. So I made her an administrator as well :)
19.06.09 We're in desperate need of Water and Earth students at the moment, if people haven't noticed. Those that we do have aren't very active, with the exception of a few members, you know who you are. It's sort of odd having the majority of the characters as Thunder and Fire, considering not only are they allies, but they're also the dark elements. We need some more peacekeepers, geez!
Also, my exams are almost over, so I'll probably try and come up with a new plot after the summer kicks in for precious old Canada over here! Tee hee!

the webs we weave ;; open « Thread Started on Jul 31, 2009, 3:34pm »
[Anyone can join, more than one person can as well, as long as the thread hasn't gone past two pages by then. Also, as long as you're his friend, or NOT his enemy, Alex really doesn't give a shit what element invades the fire dormitory]
Alex was pretty hyper, and if you cross extremely hyper with extremely bored, he often got... restless. And when Alex was restless - in the metaphorical sense, the literal one is only because he's a vampire and can't sleep - his facade let's up a little, and he starts acting more like the Alex that only the closest of close friends usually get to know. His mother had gave up trying to track down his guitar, so with the help of his father, he'd managed to get it back to the Academy. He was using the room like a stage now, shredding and screaming, both high and low, the high screams something he'd worked on perfecting further on vacation. He wasn't as amazing as his idol, Shawn, quite yet, but he was getting pretty good at it. He rested his foot on the edge of his bed, using it like a high rise and letting out a drawn out scream before jumping off and growling low in his throat. To most people, he might have appeared to have taken mushrooms and lost what was left of his sanity, but really this was just something that he found fun.
He went over to the mirror and watched himself play for a minute, trying to figure out if he did anything strange while he was playing. Sure, he had some crazy expression and poses, but his favorite band were the kings of odd stage performances, so he didn't mind that one bit. He flipped his hair and started shredding again, screaming some lyrics that were his own, then switching his chords and riffs over to Alesana and dropping the high screams to something more like Dennis'. Once again, he looked a bit crazed, but he was having a hell of a lot of fun. He grabbed his camera and took a picture of himself with the guitar in the mirror, flipped his hair - it was longer now, he could do the flip even better than he used to be able to. He needed hairspray to make it look more... emoish though, his hair was messed up and he didn't feel like fixing it himself, hairspray was much faster.
He put down his guitar, went into the bathroom, sprayed the hairspray and messed it up, giving it that awesome rock hair, put in his snakebites and both of his lip rings, thought for a moment, then put his tongue ring in as well. "Hell, why not," he chuckled, putting a few in the cartilage piercings as well. He took a picture, just because it looked awesome, then left his camera lying on the bathroom counter. Everyone knew lime green and black meant Alex, and they also knew it meant certain death if you touched it. Alexandre was wearing black skinnies and a lime Mayday shirt with a bunch of weird animal things on it. He had dyed his hair with lime green and electric blue earlier, he thought it looked pretty awesome, and his yellow converse really hurt the eyes if you stared too long. He liked it.
Picking up his guitar again, he started to play an Escape the Fate song, and sing/scream it, still using the room like a stage and doing crazy moves off the bed... and any other surface he happened to come across.

Zebby walked at a normal pace towards the fire dorms. She was visiting a sick friend of hers, but she wasn't really in a hurry to get there. She was never really in a hurry to get anywhere.. unless it involved her favorite bands or her bestest friends. This wasn't one of her closest friends, but she still wanted them to at least think she cared about them.
When she got close to the Fire dorms, she started hearing music. Guitar. And screaming. Cool. She started walking a bit faster so she could see where it was coming from. It was obviously in the Fire dorms. Hmm.. The male dormitories. Eh. It wasn't late out night, so girls were still allowed in, right? Whatever. It didn't matter. She entered the male dormitories when the guy started playing The Webs We Weave by Escape The Fate. Awesome. She finally scoped out the right room. She entered the room hesitantly, then raised an eyebrow at what she saw. Alex Blackthorn.. playing his guitar and running around his room all spastastic. Well you don't see that every day. He looked like he was on speed!
"Ahem! Alex?" she said. "What the hell are you on?" She laughed lightly. She didn't think he did any drugs. He was just behaving a little.. strange.

Alexandre stopped playing at once when someone entered the room, and he tilting his head to the side lightly, not facing them quite yet, trying to remember the scent. He'd smelled it before, but he didn't think he'd actually met this particular person in... person, before. So when she spoke, he turned around, confirmed in a split second that he didn't know who she was personally, then grinned manically and said in a sing song voice, "I'm on shroomz! Yay!" then burst out laughing and doubled over, swearing loudly when the neck of his guitar jammed his ribs, making this amused gesture very painful indeed. But he really did look like he was on magic mushrooms, acted like it too, even though he'd only ever tried drugs once, hated them, and for one thing, it wasn't even shrooms.
Recovering finally from his little laughing fit, he rubbed his side and shook his head in an effort to clear the pain a little. He noted that the girl was a thunder student, but as long as people weren't from one of the opposing elements, or an enemy of his, he really didn't give a shit who came into the fire dorms, night time or not. Granted, the leaders were supposed to keep all but their own out, but he doubted any of them actually followed that rule. He went into the thunder dorms to chill with Derek, crashed with Ian in the wind dorms, had... fun with his girlfriend in her dormitory, and well, no one really cared about the water dorms anyways. He'd never been in them, but he bet he could get in if he scared some people out of the way.

Zebby tried her hardest to hold in her laughter at his answer, but failed at that. She laughed pretty hard, but stopped herself after a moment. She didn't really know Alex, so it felt sort of weird to be laughing at/with him. Yeah.. Her eyes widened a bit when Alex stabbed himself with the neck of his guitar. Smoooth. Haha!
"Yeah," she said to his question. "I was coming down here to visit someone.. Then I heard your rad guitar playing and screaming. Impressive skills ya got there."

Alex grinned sheepishly, slightly flattered that someone he didn't even know was complimenting him on his guitar skills. But he didn't try to be all over modest and deny that his playing was good, just grinned his thanks. "I've been playing guitar since I knew how to hold one," he confessed, proudly glancing down at the instrument. It had taken him so long to save up for his custom Schechter guitar, so he always kept it in good condition, made sure no one but those who would exercise extreme care hold it, and played it whenever possible. Not to mention the fact the back was signed by various band members, because that just made it feel even more special to him. "And I'm been screaming about five years now, started when I was thirteen." This reminded him that he was almost eighteen, and he pouted slightly. "Ahw. Now I feel old."
Flipping his hair, the firelight catching the green and blue streaks and glinting off the lip and snakebite piercings, he shifted his weight to his right and tilted his head slightly. "The person you're visiting a fire student?" he wondered curiously.

"Cool," she said to how long he'd been playing guitar and screaming. Then she laughed at his pout and him feeling old. "Well," she said. "At least you're not some fifty-year-old cat person. Most people would be glad to be so close to 'being an adult," she added air quotes. "But I certainly know you're not like most people.. But in a good way. Probably."She laughed lightly, then smiled slightly.
"Yeah. Obviously," she said with a laugh. "That's why I'm in the Fire dorms."
Then she noticed his hair and piercings. "Two colors in your hair today? All your piercings in?" she said. "This must be a wild day for you so far."

Yes, at least he wasn't an old man with over a dozen cats, hunched over in a wheelchair and waving his cane manically at a kid from across the street. At least he wasn't losing his hearing, memory or sight, and his joints didn't ache, and he didn't have any health problems. She made him feel a lot better, even if she had been joking, so he grinned lightly and the pout vanished. So that he didn't accidentally injure himself with it, he lifted the guitar strap over his head and gently lay the instrument down on his bed, giving it one last (almost longing) glance before turning back to the girl. You had to love music as deeply and passionately as he did to understand the feeling he had for the guitar.
"Not me," he laughed when she said that many would be happy about reaching adulthood. "I'd rather stay a teenager forever, you can party all you want, scream at the top of your lungs and miss work, and people just figure it's a normal part of growing up." He sat on the edge of his bed, leaning slightly to one side and using his hand to clutch the edge so he didn't lean any farther and fall over. He'd done that accidentally so many times it wasn't even funny. Alright, maybe it was, but whatever. "The minute you turn into an adult, everyone expects shit from you. I don't like people becoming dependent," he said with a shudder.
"Well," Alex said matter-of-factly, "- some people just like to drop in to see how awesome the assholes are when you catch them off guard," he said, then laughed. "Would I know them?" he wondered aloud, curious. He probably would, it was sort of his job to know his fellow students, being their leader and all that shit, but he was just making conversation. "I had extra hair dye," he chuckled. "And trust me, this isn't even half," he grinned. "I get bored." Yes, just like Alex to put himself through the pain of piercings because he was bored.
