Nell leaned against a tree, bag of chips in her hand. The spring weather had succumbed to the chill of autumn, even her jacket wasn’t very warm at this point. So she moved from leg to leg, trying to get her body to heat up, messenger back slipping off her shoulder a bit. It was heavy with the weight of several books, and suddenly increased in weight, confusing her until she saw that it was a girl tugging at it. ”Thanks, scared the ever-loving crap out of me,” Nell said blandly, playfully swatting the Water elemental’s hand away. ”Oh, well, I was going to give you your notes back, but since you’re so kind to me…” Nell snorted, waved her hand. ”Keep ‘em, I’m set. Read them through last night.” The Water blinked. ”All of them?” She looked down at the papers she held as Nell nodded, taking a chip from the bag. ”Mhmm, mhmm,” she said after eating it. ”Did you read them or just copy them down?” The Water shrugged. ”Well, I read them to copy them, so…same thing.” Nell smiled, took the papers from her and multi-tasked as she returned it to her bag. ”Good luck and godspeed. Professor’s gonna getcha, you know. It’s like he has psychic powers to weed out people who didn’t study.” His questions certainly made it seem that way, at least.
The Water girl was cocky, of course, she was the type that didn’t really have to study and still got A’s and B’s. Nell had to be jealous, but she was fine with reading over notes. ”Did they give you any trouble?” She sometimes realized that her note-taking was a little unorthodox when she let friends borrow them. ”Do you wanna see mine?” The girl said, pulling off her bag and dropping it on the ground as she fished out her own papers, and Nell snorted, holding the bag in front of her face. ”What is this?” she questioned, pointing at one of the papers. ”That’s a tree, oh my god I hate you.” But the Water was laughing too, calming as she stuffed the papers back into her backpack and slinging it back over her shoulder. ”So whatcha doing today?” She asked, and Nell took another chip before she spoke. ”Going out with a buddy of mine. Painting the town red. Even though I don’t know why they call it that. I mean, why red? Why don’t we paint it…blue? Or green?” The girl blinked at her, shaking her head. ”I don’t know. But then again, I also don’t know why they allow you to interact with other members of society.” It might have hurt if Nell didn’t know she was kidding. Maybe not, considering her feathers didn’t get ruffled easily.
So she simply responded with a toothy grin, eyes wide as if to amplify the girl’s concern before she asked, ”What’re you doing?” She sighed, rolled her eyes. ”Studying, apparently. Later freak.” Nell waved as the girl turned her back, ”See ya…weirdo.” Not quite as impressive, but she didn’t pay any mind as she adjusted her messenger bag again, forgetting that she held an almost-empty bag of chips in her hand and it started to flutter down. Nell pushed her sunglasses up her nose as she tried to catch the bag. ”Aw, c’mon!” she said, pouting a little but recovering easily. This was a girl with no pet peeves, she couldn’t be frustrated so easily. Which is why she didn’t move to check her watch to see what time it was. She had time, and she enjoyed being free. And she wouldn’t care waiting any amount of time for Bastian at their designated meeting place so she could take them out. She had food to occupy her, after all. Well, had food. Some of the chips fell out in the grand slippage.\

Bastian was in his dorm combing his hair. He had gotten out of the shower a little while ago and then had to dry it off. Thankfully his hair was fairly easy to keep maintained. It was normally messy but when straight down just hitting his neck. He combed it through as he took a glance at himself in the mirror placing his signature fedora on his head. He grabbed his bag and things before walking out of his room towards the common room. In his bag he had his phone, sketch book and a few pencils. You never knew when something worth drawing would just pop up at you and so he was normally always prepared. As he walked into the common room he said hello to a few of his friends who were just hanging around. They asked where he was going and he just said he was going out with a friend for a while. A few started teasing him about who it was. He just brushed them off with a smile and said its not that kind of outing. He gave them a quick goodbye before leaving.
It really wasn't like that. He was going out with Nell. And not like "going out" out. It was just two friends spending some time together. It wasn't like he didn't think Nell was pretty or anything. It's just that he saw her as a friend. Besides he had a crush on someone anyways so it wasn't like he was exactly looking. Shaking those thoughts away he began to make his way towards the place they had agreed to meet at. Checking his watch he was a couple minutes late. He hoped he hadn't made her wait too long. He wasn't exactly sure what they would be doing but he knew he'd enjoy himself either way. As he was walking he eventually caught sight of Nell and with a slight smile picked up speed slightly. "Hey, sorry for being late. I hope I didn't make you wait very long." he said apologetically. Normally Bastian was very prompt about being on time. "I'm ready when you are. So where are we going again?" he asked excitedly.

Nell, being the Earthie she was, stuffed her empty chip bag into the messenger bag on her shoulder. Littering seemed a high offense to her, but then again, so did anything that caused an inconvenience for anyone else. After all, someone would have to clean that up. She knew that from experience thanks to her community service with Devin. She hadn't minded, actually, she enjoyed volunteering in groups that did stuff like that, but it was different when one was being punished for a misdemeanor. She wondered when her last ride in the back of a police cruiser would be. Nell waggled her fingers at Bastian. "Nah, man, it's all right," she told him, pushing her sunglasses up again. "Got bombarded by a friend, she took up quite a bit of my time and attention." Nell rolled her eyes playfully. She loved the girl, loved everyone, it was hard to take annoyed gestures like that coming from Nell seriously.
She pushed herself off of the tree and linked arms with Bastian, pulling him along as she started to walk, waving one hand with great gusto. "Well, I was thinking we could get a bite to eat before heading to the concert," she told him, pulling the phone out of her back pocket to check the time. It was still pretty early, the concert didn't start until later. They definitely had time to kill, and she could get up to anything in that time. "I got recommendations for a place downtown," she said. People liked to give her recommendations for places to eat and she wondered why. Might have been something to do with the fact she was a human vacuum, but she couldn't be sure, huh. "Have you eaten today? How's your day been, anyway?" she asked, as it was always a very important question to her. She always had to ask it of people.

Bastian simply gave Nell his signature bright smile. He was relief that he hadn't made her wait too long. He had left her waiting but at least she hadn't been alone the entire time. That at least took away some of the guilt. "That's a relief. It took me a bit longer to get ready than I had anticipated. Promise I won't make a habit of that." he said reassuringly. That was saying if they went out like this again. Bastian could be known for being the first one anywhere normally, especially if it was plans with his friends. Today had been of off day for him and thus he had been late. He would make sure that would happen again. Bastian fixed his fedora as it has fallen a bit from its normal position in his rush to get to Nell faster.
When Nell had linked arms with him he just smiled as they walked. One of the things he loved about Nell was her energy. It was big and bright. She was very energetic and enthusiastic and he just enjoyed it. Perhaps it could be due to her being and earth elemental but either way though he was just happy to be around her. "Thanks again for inviting me. And food sounds good to me. Haven't eaten in a while and I'm starving." thinking back on it Bastian hadn't eaten since much earlier in the day. He had busied himself with getting things done so that he could enjoy the rest of the evening with Nell that he must have forgotten to eat. He had eaten some quick snacks here and then but not a full meal and now he was starting to feel the consequences of his choice. "The day's been good so far. I've been getting some stuff done that I needed to do before tonight. I guess I got so busy that I kind of forgot to eat in between. What about you? What you've been up to?" he asked curiously. "So how are we getting there again?"

She grinned back at him. It was rare not to find her in a good humor, but today was an especially good one. "Uh huh, gotta get your hair all did, I get it." Nell patted her own hair, tucking brown strands behind her ear. It was up now, unlike at work when she had to cover the tattoo on the back of her neck. Usually it was kept like that, just to get it out of the way. Especially since she liked to play sports, and it could become quite the hassle. She never cut it short, though. The last time she did...it harbored bad memories for her. "In a while?" she said as if incredulous, then shook her head. The girl could understand, though. Sometimes she had to go without lunch if there were some more pressing issues. Though food was pretty high up there on the issue list.
She just couldn't understand people that forgot to eat. It was strange and foreign to her. Well, not quite since Josh had a habit of it, but for her she could never consider forgetting. "I don't think I can tell you about the amazingness of my day in a short span of time," she said facetiously. "Got to clean the floors after I spilled something in chemistry. That was awesome. Almost burned my hair off with the Bunsen burner. Not so awesome." At his next words, she took the keys out her pocket and swung them around her fingers. "My car, of course, baby boo." She was big on cars, that was something that one got to know when speaking to her. She wasn't aware of how much she talked about them since she talked about anything, really.
The car in question was her PT Cruiser, Gwen, sitting there all fat and pasty white. "She'll be old news soon," Nell said as she got in and started it up, fixing the mirrors. "Well, maybe not. I've been thinking about keeping her after I've restored the Pontiac." That would be a special car, and she could use Gwen for some of things that she wouldn't want her other car getting into. Other car for now--she'll be getting more, that was for sure. They arrived to the restaurant she told him about, and when they were seated she took to her usual shenanigans when at restaurants, which meant balling up pieces of the straw and lobbying at whoever was across from her. In this scenario, it was Bastian. "So whatcha thinking about ordering?" she questioned with a sly grin.

He just chuckled at her comment. "Like they say. Gotta dress to impress." he said playfully with a wink. In all honesty he had taken a bit longer than he would have liked to finish some things up and then he hadn't realized that he hadn't picked out an outfit ahead of time so he took a bit doing that that by the time he had finished getting ready he was going to be a bit late to meeting up with Nell. "Ummm yeah. I think lunch which was about noon. I've had some fruit to hold me over but that's about it. Come to think of it I didn't eat a very big lunch either." he said as he was thinking about it. That would explain why he was hungry. When he spoke he said it as if it was nothing. It wouldn't be the first time that he had skipped a meal or two it wasn't like he wasn't use to it. "It's no biggie though. I've dealt with worse." he said cheerfully without a care in the world as they walked.
They would be taking her car which didn't surprise him. Of course she would be able to drive. Bastian didn't know much about cars and he was looking forward to when he could actually drive himself. Bastian just listened curiously as she went through her days events. He couldn't help but laugh a little. "Sorry...umm it seems like you had an interesting day. he said covering his mouth and a few giggles that came out. "Well, you've had a far more eventful day than I've had." Bastian had some work that he had to get done so that had basically taken his day. He wanted to enjoy himself without having to worry about anything that he would have to do later. Besides, he was going home after he was done with Nell. Since she lived in the Hallow it would be easy to get home.
Bastian got into the car. "Don't know much about cars but you're the second person that I've met with a thing for them. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference." he said. He did like the car but didn't know anything about it. The drive wasn't long and they had arrived to their destination quickly. Soon they were seated and Bastian looked over the menu. He had noticed what Nell was doing and couldn't help but smile. She was like a kid. He loved it. Soon a waitress came to take their drink order. Bastian just ordered a coke as he returned to his menu. "Ummm, not really sure. Maybe a hamburger and fries. By the way thanks again for the invite. I've never been to a concert of any kind before. It's very exciting." he said, excitement completely obvious as he spoke with a sort of glow in his eyes.

Dress to impress? Yeah, she got that. It's what she did for work, after all. Always be presentable. A lesson she learned from her always sharp and dapper father. It was something that never seemed to change about him, even after all these years. "Aie, that's why you're so thin, my man," she said, pinching his side playfully. "Gotta bulk you up. Give you some lard to stuff you with." Kidding, of course. She would be more worried if he was at an unhealthy wait. Like Morgan, really. She had wanted to stuff the poor girl till she burst, there was always panic when she saw her. But it seemed that she was gaining it back, or maybe that was just Nell's optimism shining through. All she could remember, though, was her sister and then herself, how hard she had fallen. How bad it had gotten after the trial to the point she didn't eat and Josh had to take care of her in his silent way.
She pointed at him with a small frown on her lips. "Hey. Just because you're a guy and you don't understand the trials of having long, glorious hair does not give you a right to mock me." Like a good student she'd kept her hair back, but it looked like she'd be needing bobby pins from now on. "S'pose so," she said with a playful roll of her eyes. "But then again, every day is eventful, hmm! Viva la vida.." The Spanish expression live the life suited her well. She made every day exciting and eventful, because what was the point otherwise? It was a reason that spurred her into going to a concert with Bastian.
Nell tilted her head when he spoke of not knowing much about cars. "Second person?" she asked. "And who's the first?" Nell liked to wonder what it was like in the head of someone who didn't share an interest in cars. She liked to talk to people who had differing opinions from her and all that, simply because it was funny to think that so many differences and similarities can exist in the world. Nell giggled impishly before moving to blow bubbles in her drink. "Probably gonna get the same," she told him. "Times two." Double the portions for her stomach. Or, as some of her friends had hypothesized, two stomachs. She wondered if she should get that checked out by a doctor.
Her smile melted into something softer at his words and she played with one of the place setting between her fingers. "Yeah, no problem. Got a good deal on them, actually, my friend told me about the show." More delight came when he said he'd never been to a concert before. I feel ya, buddy. Her first one had been with Josh, after she'd gotten ill the one time. Probably one of the worst weeks of her life, and she hoped there would be no such thing as a repeat. Though she couldn't promise she learned her lesson and would get herself to a doctor as quickly as possible if she felt sick again. Everything about it freaked her out. "First one? A concert virgin? Oh man, you'll love it. What else haven't you done?" This is a question that interested her on multiple levels.

Bastian giggled as Nell poked him. He was quite the ticklish little thing and he was ashamed to admit he was small and thin. Bastian had a slender figure to him. And he thought himself small. He was slightly taller than Nell and he was about five foot four. In his eyes he was small. And it wasn't like he didn't eat. There were times that he could definitely pig out. He just really didn't gain weight. And it wasn't like he worked out all the time. Bastian was in good shape and he did run sometimes but that was about the extent of his workout regiment. "I think I'll pass on the lard. And I'm not that skinny." he said teasingly. He knew Nell was only teasing with him so he didn't take it in a bad way.
Bastian had to do everything in his power to keep from laughing at Nell's sudden serious tone. She was right, he didn't . His jet black color hair came down just above his shoulders. His bangs were rather long but stayed out out of his eyes. His hair was straight and silky. Made it really easy to maintain but it wasn't long enough to almost get burned in Bunsen burner. His hair was no where near as long as Nell's. He just looked at her apologetically and stayed quiet. He just raised his glass to her. "Viva la Vida." he said before taking a drink. He was swallowing when she asked about who the second person that he knew that enjoyed cars. He cleared his throat before speaking. "That would be Asher my wind leader. He's an eleventh grader, not sure if you've met him. He said he worked down at the auto-shop at the Hallow. I think my exact words to him were 'I wouldn't be able to tell a Pontiac from a pinto'" he said with a smile as he made fun of himself.
He continued to look at the menu. "I think I'll only do the one order. Save some room for ice cream." the chocolate sundae looked good and he was starting to crave it. He sipped his drink through his straw as she talked. He giggled slightly when she called him a concert virgin. "Concert virgin? Well, that's one way of putting it. As to what else I haven't done? Well, I didn't exactly go out much at the orphanage? Ummm let's see. Well if you count the subway I can check off trains and I flew to Canada so that's done. Uhhhh, haven't been to a theme park of any kind so no roller coasters in my life. Never been on a boat. Never been horse back riding. This is gonna sound cliche but I've never kissed anybody. I'm pretty sure if you name it I haven't done it."

Nell waved her hand at Bastian and his teasing. He at least agreed with her saying, her adage. She loved life, had an absolute passion for it. Was it ironic when she'd been surrounded by death so much, or suiting? She'd come to think of herself as a grim reaper after Leo's disappearance from her life. But in the spirit of viva la vida, she couldn't dwell on it. Nell lifted an eyebrow at the name. "Sounds familiar." She didn't really know much about the Wind element or their leaders, however, thanks to how all over the place they were. "Think I might have met him before, but I'd probably remember." She was at the shop quite a bit, and she was good with people and their names. Nell snorted at her friend's words, covering her mouth so she wouldn't spit out the soda. "The Pinto is an ugly little duckling, there's your difference," she joked.
Her eyes brightened, not only from the sunlight coming in through the windows. She had a bright appearance overall despite her dark hair and eyes, her tanned skin. "Sugar," she said. "Get a lot of ice cream. We'll have you gain a lot of weight, and then turn it all into muscle at the gym." She nodded. Sounded like a plan to her. Nell's interest piqued even further when he spoke of the orphanage. Have you hitchhiked? she wanted to ask, but wondered if it was appropriate. "All right," she said, pulling her phone out of her pocket and unlocking up, pulling the notebook app up. She slid it across the table to her friend. "Write down whatever you want to do in your life. A kind of...bucket list. And I'll take you there." They can have a lot of firsts together, she figured. Though she didn't think of telling him all the things she had yet to do. Too many secrets.
When the server came over, they ordered and the food came quickly. Even though she wouldn't have minded waiting even an hour, it was quite welcome. She devoured her multitude in quite a record amount of time. For a moment, she wondered whether or not she should enter in contests. How good would she be at that? Nell thought that she was pretty good at consuming things quickly. It was something to consider. But she wanted to be a lot of things, do a lot of things. "We good?" she questioned Bastian a little later to see if he wanted to get moving. "I think I've got one stop to make before we get there." Her smile revealed nothing about where she wanted to go, but that was the usual. She didn't reveal her intentions. Surprises were fun.

Bastian would admit to himself that that line Viva la Vida went pretty well with him. For thirteen years Bastian had no idea where his life would be taking him. He really had no choice to live day by day and always aim for the absolute best. Of course some days were better than others but he just got through them. He couldn't anything else. When you live in an orphanage where you don't know if you're going to be there until your eighteen or if you're ever gonna get adopted then you kind of have to learn to deal with it or it would eat you up inside. Bastian didn't want that happening to him so he just learned to accept it and keep it from keeping him down.
Bastian wouldn't be surprised if Nell happen to know Asher. There was always the chance that if she ever took her car to the auto-shop he worked at then she may have seen him even she didn't know him. He just laughed at joke about the pinto. Thankfully he had started drinking his soda yet when she said it so he wasn't at risk of spilling it or anything. "I'll have to remember that when I pick my car. If it start quaking I'll make sure to stay away." he said. During their time sitting there Bastian had taken out a pencil and had just started sort of doodling on his napkin like a kid, then again he was a kid. He just smiled at her encouragement to get ice cream. "I'm not that skinny." he said throwing a tiny little paper ball he had rolled up using the a small piece of his napkin. "Let's a remember I'm Asian, or at least in part. And from what I've seen the majority are rather skinny. The idols are living proof of that." he said referring to the basically asian celebrities, mostly musical performers.
He just stared at her as she slid the phone. "I don't even know what to put, especially since I'm sure my parents would take care of a lot of it." he said as he took the phone into his hands. He had to think about it. "How about next time you want to take me on some adventure you just surprise me? It would probably be easier than me just sitting here trying to come up with something." he said as he slid the phone back.
He would admit that the service was quick. They hadn't waited long after they had order for their meals which were delicious in his opinion. He ordered his ice cream to good as to not make them wait longer. When it came he just nodded his head towards Nell. "All set." he said as they walked back towards the car and he just hopped into the passenger seat.

Nell waved her hand at Bastian when he said that he’d have to remember her little quip when he went out looking for his own automobile. ”Nah, nah, nah,” she told him, still holding her hand up. ”I will be coming with you, see. Because I need to make sure you get the right car, ya dig? Expert’s opinion.” Nell wasn’t an expert, but she was good enough. She would never actually say she was good at it, she didn’t like to talk about herself, but she was restoring her own car. She knew a thing or two, and she really did want to help Bastian out. He needed a fly ride to pick up all the bitches, after all. With delayed reaction, Nell swatted at the ball, laughing afterward. ”Yeah, yeah,” she said, rolling her eyes. She had to acknowledge what Bastian said. ”And you guys have awesome hair. I have to say, I am jealous.” It was one thing she noticed about Asian culture, and she did like hair.
She waved a hand in front of her face, the other crossed over the table in front of her. ”What fun is getting smashed at a house party with parents?” Nell said deviously, as if suggesting that he put that down on his little list. Even though she couldn’t relate to the sentiment, she could understand it. Nell got the feeling he was close with his adoptive parents, and sometimes she could get jealous of that. But she reminded herself that she didn’t want those bonds. She had her father, and that’s as much as she could get. There wasn’t even a real father-daughter relationship there. It was just a relationship they had found, and it worked, and that was all she could say about it. ”You really want me to surprise you?” she asked with a twinkle in her eye, taking back the phone. Well now, that meant her imagination could run free. ”I’ll come up with something.” It was a promise. She would not disappoint him, especially since he let her have free reign over it. She loved giving people knew experiences, because she knew how great it felt with her own.
Turning the radio up so she could sign along to the song, Nell tapped her hands on the steering wheel before turning into a store. ”Stay here,” she said when she entered, coming back out with a plastic bag and throwing it in the back. ”Kay, let’s see if I can remember which way to go,” she said, even though usually she was good enough with car directions. Her sense of direction was not one to be relied on, however. It was one of her greatest weaknesses. However, she managed to get her with that sense, to the Academy and her new life. It couldn’t have been all bad, at least she didn’t think so. The venue was an actual hall and she pulled out what she’d purchased from the backseat. ”Glow sticks,” she told him as if they were a brand new invention she were introducing to him and he needed to give it a try. She made a necklace and a few bracelets with them before entering the building to wait in line. ”How long do you think it’ll take?” she asked him, peering over heads. It wasn’t very easy, with her stature.

He smiled and raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh really? Well, I'm gonna hold you to that and expect the best car ever." he said in a sarcastically serious voice. Bastian still had a few years before he could really start thinking about driving but even then he wouldn't know the type of car he would get. It would probably just be something that he could be comfortable in. Something told him though that if he let Nell help him choose then he was sure to get the perfect car for him. He just hoped it wouldn't be something very flashy or anything. He would just have to trust Nell's judgement. Bastian just laughed when she swatted the tiny paper ball that nearly hit her. "We just know how to take care of it I guess. The thing I believe that I'm missing though is the fashion sense gene because from what I've seen the guys know how to dress way better than I do." he said making fun of himself.
He just smiled. "Well, I don't think I'm going to be much of a drinker anyways." he said, I idea of drinking alcohol wasn't exactly very appealing to Bastian nor were the consequences that came with it. Besides he wouldn't want his parents to be worrying about him being out and drinking and such. He'd would probably end up being the designated driver if he ever went out with his friends and they drunk although he couldn't really imagine any of his drinking, at least not drinking excessively. And it wasn't just because most of them were underage but they just didn't seem the type but then again he had learned that people could surprise in the best and worst of ways when the situation called for it. Of course Nell seemed all for being able to surprise him. He only hoped he wouldn't regret it. "As long as it doesn't involve dark places and thunderstorms then have at it." two of the things he feared the most. He trusted Nell to not involve those two things so he believed he was in the cure.
Bastian just leaned back in his chair as they drove. There was a light breeze which he loved the feeling of. Maybe because he was a wind elemental but he did love the feeling of the wind. He was lightly nodding off when they had made the stop that Nell had needed. He was unsure what she had bought but didn't ask. They eventually reached the venue when Nell revealed what she had gotten. Glow sticks. His face lit up. He knew what glow sticks were but he had never gotten any before. He made one for his neck and another to wrap around his head. They walked inside which was packed. Bastian peeked over the people in front of him to the best of his ability. He wasn't exactly basketball player height. "I think they're about to start." " he said noticing people starting to climb on stage and then as if on cue the lights were turned down and you could hear the beginnings travel around the venue.

Nell gave the Wind student a thumbs up. "Dude, you could just get a junker and I'd fix it up for ya." That always seemed like a better idea. Your car would be one of a kind, your own--it would really be your baby. Lots of people called their cars that, but only the people who built their vehicle could honestly say it. Of course, it cost the pretty penny, but she had no limits when it came to people. She'd do anything, no questions asked. The girl folded her hands together and considered his words. "Fashion sense, huh? Guess those J-pop bands do have fly outfits." It was almost ironic to use the word fly when talking about Asian culture. It had always fascinated her, like any culture. Mainly because of the cranes she folded.
Nell winked at him, for no real reason except to use her usual animated gestures. She was a cartoon character, really, popped out of the television and into real life. "Good." She'd once been a bartender, and she had plenty of friends who drank. It was unhealthy and she was glad that Bastian would be one less person she needed to keep an eye out for. Drinkers concerned her for one reason, really. She supposed he told her about dark places and thunderstorms because he disliked them. Which was good for her to know, since she didn't want to traumatize him. "Lucky I'm not Thunder," Nell said, her grin still in place. She could have been, in another world perhaps. She didn't have to wonder why she didn't inherit the gene--she wasn't like her family at all. And that was a good thing.
Nell's body thrummed with adrenaline, something that apparently coincided with the concert experience. So she was ecstatic when they moved through the line and found their place in the crowd. She could smell booze from people who must have been drinking beforehand, but she was way too pumped to be very worried about that. When the lights went up, she lifted Bastian's hand with her own, screaming at the top of her lungs. She was certainly ready to let loose, unafraid to sing along and dance around. There was no such thing as 'act out like no one was watching'--she didn't care who was around to witness. Besides, most of the attention was focused on the band up front.
By the time the set was through, she could feel the near-deafness as if she'd stood under a jet plane as it took off. She pulled Bastian with her through the crowd so they wouldn't lose track of each other, still singing the last song they'd played. Her energy was still full blast, perhaps even more so now with the adrenaline still pulling through her veins and ballooning her spirits. Live music was something else, she had to say. Nell went over to buy a t-shirt before asking her friend, "Wanna get up to something?" She had hi-jinks in mind, but she wanted to make sure if Bastian had any plans.

Bastian just gave her suggestion a thought. "Maybe, but I think my parents would feel safer in something a little newer and air bags." All honesty he wasn't really sure since he was far from expert at cars. He would actually have to talk to his parents about it when the time came for him to actually choose a car he would be driving. He still had a while though. In the long run he only hoped that it would be a car that he could be comfortable with. That was the important thing. "I say it again. They have way better fashion sense than me. They make anything practically look good. Then again there are some choices that can be rather questionable." as well as they dressed, he had seen some concert footage where the outfits definitely made you scratch your head and wonder what the hell was the costume department thinking.
When it came to drinking, that definitely wasn't on his bucket list of things he needed to do before dying. In all honestly if he could avoid it then he would be one of the happiest people on earth. If say it was an extremely special occasion like a wedding or something then maybe he'd consider it but he was not going to be an avid drinker that went out to the clubs. He had seen the affects of drinking and would rather avoid them at all cost. He didn't care if all the kids were doing it. He would be the loner that didn't if he had to. He did chuckle a bit at her comment about not being a thunder. If only she knew. It wouldn't have matter if she had been a thunder. He was afraid of thunderstorms but that wouldn't mean he wouldn't befriend a thunder. After all, he was crushing on thunder. Weird huh? but he just let the comment slide.
When the concert was finally going chaos erupted. There was no holding back from everyone, including Nell. It definitely got his adrenaline pumping. It had been a long time since he'd felt this way, at least in a positive way. The last time he had felt his adrenaline pumping was when he was running away from getting caught by some authorities in New York. Not exactly the most positive experience. He shook the thought away. He didn't want bad experiences to ruin the fun. He started yelling along with Nell as the music blasted away. It was definitely a rush and something he enjoyed. He was so happy to experience this. He was disappointed when it came to an end but it had been worth it.
As they started piling out of the venue he looked at his watch. "Two hours until curfew so sure." he said enthusiastically. He still had plenty of time to enjoy he had to be heading home. He was ready to make the most of them.

Nell blew out a puff of air, her bangs flying up a little bit to reveal her forehead. She was a little sensitive abut it, considering it was larger than average. But like everything else, she covered it up. She wasn't a sensitive person. "Ha! Like I wouldn't put in airbags for you." Now she wouldn't, she'd get someone else to. She wouldn't mess around with it because she wanted to ensure everyone's safety. And if she did it herself, there was sure for things to go wrong. Not that she was completely inadequate, but that kind of thing was better left to professionals. Nell shook her head at her friend. "You sell yourself short! You're a pretty fly guy yourself. Don't ever think you can't be even better than those other Asians, huh." She pointed at him and winked. Her compliments were always sincere and honest. It felt like a terrible thing to do, compliment someone for the sake of complimenting someone. Even though she would do such a thing, she would make sure it was completely honest and from her heart.
Two hours? That was enough time for Nell to wreak havoc, that was for sure. They just needed something to find first. And a good thing they were in the city, for they were never in lack of something to get up to. The lights were on all the time, and thinking this she began humming the song All of the Lights as she headed down the street. Quite different from the usual hummed operas she so enjoyed. She blinked when she felt something fall into her eye, and then another thing hit her on top of her head. Suddenly it was like a deluge, and her eyelashes quickly gathered moisture that she had to blink away to see correctly. Even then, the lights blurred underneath the pitter patter of raindrops. "Uh oh," she said, smiling. "Looks like rain!" She laughed as she spread her arms out and ran further down the street. With a gasp, she turned to Bastian and grabbed hold of the front of his shirt. "I got an idea! How do you like water balloons?" she asked him conspiratorially. She wasn't dressed to impress, she didn't care about getting wet.
