They were at war. Joshua should have known that something negative would happen eventually, and that eventually came in the form of two Fire graduates slipping into step behind him after class one morning. Shit, thought Joshua, though he said nothing and did not turn to acknowledge them. It was possible he was just being paranoid but there was something about their movements that spooked him. He knew how Fires operated, after all, how they always seemed to know when to best corner their prey. He was calming down by the time they reached the end of the hall, thinking that maybe he was reading too far into things, when one of them spoke. "Hey, Dale." It wasn't a greeting, more like a request for him to turn and acknowledge them. He did not, though he did hesitate momentarily in his stride. Keep walking. "Hey!" Sharper, now, more insistent. "Where are you going, huh? Off to hang out with the Earth pussies?" He could tell they were trying to antagonize him and so he ignored it, would have either way. The comments like that were overused and didn't phase him. "Where's the bitch at?" That was a little more effective and he stopped for a moment, setting his jaw and almost turning around. Leave Nell out of this. But no, this was what they wanted. He grinded his teeth for a moment and resumed his pace.
The soft whoosh of the fire preceded its approach and Joshua turned sharply, instinctively, lifting a hand in an attempt to block the onslaught of flames. They fanned out when they got close as if they'd hit an invisible wall, but although he managed to stop the worst of the attack, a tendril snuck past and singed his arm. "What the fuck!" Though his words were practically snarled, his voice was not raised. Joshua didn't yell. He had been trying to avoid a confrontation with his fellow Fire elementals but he realised now that he was not going to be able to slip by without incident. Neither were in his year but they were both graduates and so he did not have as much of an upper hand as he would have liked. Still, they'd antagonized him into a fight and he wasn't going to run like a coward. Setting his jaw firmly, the Fire swept his arm in a motion almost akin to throwing a bowling ball, flaming shooting up along the stone as if it were the driest of kindling and barrelling toward the pair. One dodged out of the way in time but the other was not so lucky, hissing a string of curses as the flames caught his shirt and burned along his side. "Fuck you, Dale!" Joshua didn't reply, merely flicked his wrist to send a ball of fire toward the one who'd escaped the previous assault.
Rather than connecting, however, there was a hissing sound and a cloud of steam as a ball of water collided with it in midair. All three graduates turned to observe a professor looking none-too-pleased as she scowled at them. "Fighting in the hallways! You're college students, all of you, you should be beyond these petty games!" She proceeded to sentence them all to detention, splitting up the times so that they would all be separated. The childish part of Joshua wanted to insist that they'd started it and he'd merely been defending himself but the more mature side of his brain silenced him. He glowered at his opponents before stalking off down the hallway toward detention. Why had he been the one who had to miss lunch break? The bitterness festered like an open wound as he opened the door to the detention hall, locking eyes with the supervisor. "It was a fight," he said, before the man could ask. "I don't have a slip." Did that mean that the supervisor could keep him as long as he wanted? He did hope that he didn't keep him for an extended period of time. "Sit down." The hall already had several students occupying it, most sitting down and glaring at the walls or doing homework. One boy had an iPod, strictly against the rules but it didn't appear as if the supervisor cared much. Josh flopped down in an empty seat, scowl fixed on his face as he wished he'd at least had a book on him or something. And fuck, his arm stung.

Enzair was in the courtyard enjoying his time resting under a tree, sure he may be a fire elemental, but hey, he’s only human, so to speak. He enjoyed nature, the fresh air, soft grass, cool shade of a tree. He was just laying there when some damn fool kicked some leaves in his face.
“What’s, a fire bug like you doing out here?” asked a junior earth elemental in a rude tone.
Enzair got up and thought about handing this guy his ass. But he did not want trouble today. The earth worm shoved Enzair on the shoulder and asked again. Enzair normally would not tolerate this, but he was trying to avoid confrontation, so Enzair turned around and began to walk away. Then not a moment later Enzair felt something rapidly wrapped around his left arm and yank back viciously and at a bad angle. Enzair stumbled back and shouted out the F bomb through pain, he burnt burnt away the vines that had grabbed his arms and once he was free he held up his arm to his chest. It was searing with pain and he could not move his fingers, Enzair pretended to act helplessly until the earth student was close enough.
Then rapidly Enzair struck the earth worm in four places on the side of his torso and he collapsed like his entire left side gave out on him. When the earth was on the ground Enzair kicked him as hard as he could on his right side. Not a moment later a couple professors separated the two.
One of the professors escorted enzair to the infirmary while the other tended to the temporarily immobile earth student. The doctor tended to Enzair’s arm before setting his entire forearm in a cast, from the wrist up to just bellow his elbow.
“Come back in 4 weeks for a check up,” said the doc.
“What did that little prick do to my arm?” demanded Enzair.
The doc lifted a brow to Enzair’s harsh tone and said, “That ‘prick’ as you so bluntly put it, could have torn off your arm if he wanted to, so count yourself lucky that you only have a couple cracks and some minor muscle tearing which will heal up as good as new. Now, the professor said to report for detention.”
“Why! That little Earth Worm started this whole damn thing!” Shouted Enzair.
“You know your capability, you struck him illegally your luck runs thin, do it again and you might be expelled,” now go, I have other patients to tend to.
With that Enzair headed off to the detention swearing left and right under his breath. Enzair did not like this cast, it was too tight for his taste but it was required, at least it was red, one of his favorite colors. He was not told how long he was to be in detention, but when he got there he reported in to the supervisor who told him to take a seat, without ever looking who he sat next to he sat down. Little did he know this was Joshua, an old friend.

[For future reference, Earths aren't usually that violent or antagonistic xD Fires are way more likely to do something like that, Earthies are pacifists.]
Joshua felt an almost morbid curiosity as he rested his arm on the desk and examined the burn, skin shining red and starting to blister. It stung something fierce but the pain was nothing unbearable—the Fire graduate had quite a high tolerance for it. He wasn't sure whether it merely ran in the family or whether it was because he'd dealt with much worse in his life but he could stand most injuries such as this one without excessive complaint. It hurt and he noticed it but it would not cause him to cry out or his eyes to water. Nevertheless, he did flinch instinctively from his own touch when he pressed his hand to the injury, anticipating the pain but not being immune to it by any means. It might need medical attention. He was proud and he hated getting help for anything but as Joshua was studying to become a doctor he knew the importance of not letting certain injuries go unchecked. He didn't want any ugly scars patterning his arm. Hell, he had enough scarring to be getting on with. The slash on his face was noticeable as ever. He found himself wishing as usual that the Fire elementals could heal their own injuries as well as those that their element inflicted on others. It would save him a lot of trouble when dealing with his own kind. Alas, it was not possible.
His attention was diverted from the burn when the door to the detention hall opened, gray eyes flicking instinctively toward it. They narrowed at the sight of the figure, a person whom Joshua would have once hailed with a grin, a laugh, and a curious question about what had landed him in the detention hall this lovely afternoon. Now? Now the sight of his fellow graduate made him bristle internally with anger. They could no longer be called friends, not even close. Joshua did not stay friends with many of his old allies and comrades because betraying something as ancient and sacred as the alliances was heavily frowned upon by most. The Earths and Waters had accepted him, albeit slowly, into their midst but it had come at the cost of many a friendship. For someone as loyal as Joshua Dale this had been quite the sacrifice but he could not say he regretted it. Enzair antagonized Joshua by sitting down right next to him in a move which Josh didn't realise was far from intentional. His mood was still suffering the negative effects of lost dignity that came from being caught by a professor and so he did not pause as his anger flared. "Well, look who it is," he said, contempt flooding through his tone and turning it into something akin to a sneer. "Beat up some kid because you could? I wouldn't put it past you." God, this guy made him angry.
It didn't help that Enzair disliked Nell, too, because dragging his fiancee into things was a surefire way to make Josh even angrier than usual at a person. Still, with all the issues that Joshua had with Enzair, the inclusion of Nell was the icing on the cake. He'd hate him with or without the Earth girl's presence in the rivalry. Or perhaps not, because Nell was most of the reason Enzair was now an ex-friend. She'd defected Joshua, after all. The Fire graduate noticed the cast on his fellow elemental's arm (it was hard to miss) but he did not comment on it. After all, it could have been there for any number of reasons.

((Hmm… slipped my mind, I’ll remember next time, for now I guess we can say he was one of those odd balls eh? There is always those guys XD))
Enzair quickly looked up to Joshua and a glare quickly fell upon his face which was already filled with a bitter hatred for the earlier incident. Enzair got up and was about to move when the supervisor told him to sit back down. Practically growling with the displeasure he sat back down in the same spot.
“When I thought my day couldn’t get any worse,” commented enzair under his breath not even bothering to look at Joshua. But the thought of him sitting next to Joshua wouldn’t go away and he eventually did look at him regardless his attempt to not do so.
“I see that you done no better, Traitorous little bug” Enzair commented not even bothering to justify his own situation.
Without thinking he accidentally leaned on his left arm of which he quickly lifted with a little grunt of the pain, so he then leaned on his right arm instead, fist lightly closed and resting his chin on his fist. His left arm resting on the desk still unable to move his fingers, partly due to sedatives now. Enzair could not get over Joshua and his betrayal, enzair trusted him to the point of telling his the story of his family and the effect the memory still has on him.
“Bet you told your little worm and allies everything, hmm?” Enzair said under his breath referring to secrets he and others had told him. Regardless of his own injury Enzair was trying to start something now.
Now ignoring Joshua and not really caring what happens he turned his focus to his own arm and repeatedly attempted to at least just twitch a finger. Readjusting in place, he placed his right hand on the cast and did not exactly feel anything. Mostly because it was a hard cast, and partly because sedatives. He then thought since that this just happened, what if the sedatives wear off? They don’t last all day. Anyway when they do he would just go get more… if he could not handle the pain which surely would be intense he thought.

Joshua did not make the connection that the sour comment meant that Enzair had not intentionally sat there beside him, hence why the Fire graduate was so willing to antagonize his ex-friend. He was not a very aggressive or confrontational person these days, mostly because he was trying to grow out of his high school habit of getting into daily fights with people who so much as looked at him funny. Trying. Unfortunately, Joshua was still a Fire through and through and he couldn't shake his temper problem as easily as one might think. It wasn't a quirk or a bad habit like nail-biting, it was a part of him so deeply ingrained that he didn't think even years and years of therapy would reverse. "Bug?" he echoed, and Joshua actually laughed at the insult. Oh, that was rich. Did Enzair seriously think that was insulting? Really, it was like being called a mushroom or something. More useful for giggles than for fuel to the fires of his anger. Then again, Josh was not easily insulted. Calling him a prick would merely make him roll his eyes at you, for example. It was insulting other people that usually made his skin crawl. People he loved. "More like your precious little allies started something with me. Shame I couldn't end it, really."
Though Joshua talked tough and gave off an air of unwavering confidence, a part of him acknowledged that he would not have won the fight if it had been allowed to continue on. There had been two of them and only one of Joshua. They could wear him down by forcing him to block two separate streams of attacks as well as go on the offensive and then advance on him physically when he was too tired to fight back. He knew their game. They were like wolves, hunting in packs. Only they didn't always do the smart thing and prey on the weakest links. Joshua was no soft-eyed doe, no damsel in distress. (He wasn't even a damsel, mind). He could fight back. It didn't mean he couldn't lose, though, which was not so great. Still, he wasn't going to admit to Enzair that he'd been the weaker party. The other grad hadn't witnessed the fight, he couldn't say anything with confidence.
'Little worm' wasn't very insulting either, but it was more the fact that Enzair did dare to insult Nell that made Joshua bristle. His gray eyes flashed with a dark warning, anger smouldering in them like hot coals. "Don't talk shit about my fiancée, Enzair," he warned. "You leave her out of this." The conflict, as far as he was concerned, could stay between the two Fires. He knew that most of the Fires and Thunders who resented him for switching sides blamed Nell for it and he had to admit to himself that they had every reason for doing so. She had been the reason he'd switched sides, really. That didn't matter to Josh. Being right didn't mean he had to like the way they insulted her.
Then he caught on, those words, what they'd been implying. Told her everything, everything that had passed between him and Enzair when they'd been friends and everything had been well and alright between them. He narrowed his eyes. "Clearly you never knew me as well as you thought you did." Joshua was an insanely trustworthy person and his loyalty to his friends was paramount. They could tell him anything in confidence no matter how much he trusted them in return (he never revealed his own secrets, only to Nell, who meant everything to him). He kept those secrets safe. He no longer felt any semblance of friendship with Enzair but Joshua would never stoop so low as to betray someone's trust that deeply. Not even an enemy. "I told them nothing. Not even Nell. She does have a name, you know." He was so sick of hearing her called whore, pussy, earth worm, the works. Brett's insult toward her had probably been one of the worst. That had made his blood boil, the way another guy could degrade Joshua's fiancée so casually.

“Perhaps you can tell me why I don’t trust your word? We all know how fond of that little worm you are, we all know what love can do,” Said Enzair completely blind to the truth, the truth that deep down, Enzair knew Joshua wouldn’t tell a soul any secret he has been entrusted with.
“You know I don’t call worms or water guppies by name, and for your question earlier yes I did beat down a kid, a pathetic earth worm, did a little number on his pressure points,” said Enzair, referring to that he knows the nerve clusters and pressure points to quickly disable a person and had used them on that person.
“The only thing I regret is that it wasn’t your whore, and if it was, perhaps you would feel the hatred we have for your turncoat ass… the only problem is… maybe… someone already has that in mind,” said Enzair holding up his right palm and made a tiny little ball of fire on que with ‘maybe’ and let it flicker out as he breathed out onto it, Enzairs old little reference for danger.
Of course there was no danger, but their in detention they don’t know that, just like Enzair does not know that Joshua was outnumbered in his little encounter. Now Enzair was trying to get into Joshua’s head, he did not know if that would work though, he never really tried to get in the head of a fellow fire elemental. Enzair could tell talking about Nell in a foul manner angered Joshua.
Enzair really hated Joshua, it wasn’t really the wisest of choice to piss off Joshua considering he was a junior, thus he had age and was stronger in terms of fire power, but Enzair had skill on his side. All he had to do was get close enough and his enemies would drop like a rock but Joshua knew what Enzair is capable of, and would know to stay back and just pound Enzair with fire till he gives out.

It almost bothered him that Enzair didn't trust his word. Why was I ever friends with you? He was a trustworthy person, incredibly loyal, he would never betray a secret so personal. If it had been something silly like cheating on his girlfriend he could understand the lack of belief but this was serious, this was something that had happened to Enzair's family. Josh didn't tell people about his gang involvement as a teenager because he didn't trust other people to keep his secrets but he did trust himself to keep the secrets of other people. It worked in strange ways. "Because you're an idiot?" The suggestion was sarcastic and accompanied by a roll of his eyes. How was he supposed to make Enzair trust him? He wasn't going to waste his breath trying. "Of course I'm fond of Nell, I'm getting married to her," he scoffed. "It doesn't mean I'm going to tell her secrets that aren't mine to disclose." At the time Enzair had told him, Joshua had been sympathetic. A small part of him still was, because he wasn't so heartless that he would be happy about anyone losing their family, no matter how much he hated them.
He shook his head, disgusted by the boy sitting beside him. "You brag like you're proud of it." Why would he be proud of putting someone in the medical wing? Joshua was not the type to enjoy fighting like some of his fellow Fires. He fought out of anger or out of a desire to protect his loved ones, he wasn't the sadistic sort that would boast about beating someone. Sometimes he might gloat to the enemy that had lost to him in order to incense them, anger them, but rarely to other people. "Sad that you had to resort to picking on an Earth elemental to make your day better. But then, who am I kidding? That's what you're all like." He had moments of regret (very brief moments) where he missed the camaraderie of the Fires, but then he heard about or witnessed things like this and reminded himself that he was on a side that suited him better now.
Calling Nell a whore brought a dark scowl to Joshua's face. He remembered sitting in his bedroom (theirs, now) back when she was still just his girlfriend and talking to her about that word, what it meant. It made him angry not only because he loved her but because it was not true. "You really need some better insults," he suggested. "Ones that are true, for example. Explain to me how Nell is a whore, hm?" He lifted his brows in challenge. Good luck with that one, Enzair. She's only slept with one guy and you're staring at him. Hell, Josh had went to bed with plenty of girls. He was more of a whore than Nell was (well, he had been, he wasn't now) but the thing was that insulting him wasn't very effective. He didn't care what people called him because he knew they only did it to rile him up, make him angry.
Josh glanced at the supervisor for a moment and then back at Enzair. "Are you fucking stupid?" The other graduate using his fire was probably going to get the attention of the man if he tried it again and what would that solve? Nothing. It would only land Enzair in another detention. This wasn't a place for using ones element. "If you touch Nell I'll fucking kill you, so I'd leave her alone." The threat was very real, if not completely accurate. He wouldn't kill Enzair but he wouldn't hesitate to seriously rough him up in a fight. You didn't touch Nell when he was around. "And you wonder why I switched sides? Have you ever looked at yourselves? It's pathetic." He really believed what he was saying, too, because Enzair had made him angry. Joshua had not yet lost his temper, though, which was probably a good thing.

((I Had more planned but my muse is almost dead from my Senior Project, Sorry I hope this will do, its kind of cheesy))
“In a fire fight you may win Josh, but when it comes down to a traditional fist fight you very well know how that will end for you, so don’t say anything unless you can back it up, all I have to do is get close to you and your done for, got that,” Enzair Threatened, pointing at Joshua while glaring at him with bitter hatred.
Leaning back in his seat and lowering his hand, “Besides, I have my morals I won’t hit a woman unprovoked… I’m no mindless monster, mind you,” Enzair finished.
At that time enzair had noticed a bunch of the other students were watching them, perhaps waiting for a fight. Or just found it entertaining to listen to the two go back and forth like they are now, after all there is nothing else to do in this boring detention hall aside from listen to people bicker on like this. It was quite childish Enzair had brought it so far, especially bringing up Joshua’s Fiancé. Enzair did not even know Nell. So yea, he had nothing to say about her without false accusations; sure he met her in Biology and argued some. But that was it, to enzair Nell is just another pathetic earth worm, their all the same to him.
However, this is a detention hall, what are they supposed to be doing anyway, work? This Detention is more like a boring class where you do nothing but with very strict set of rules. It is far from punishment, a punishment would be like sticking someone in chains in the Dungeons, even though that’s fire and thunder territory and are likely to be freed a moment later, but still the point still stands. This room is just a joke to enzair. A waste of resources, kids just sit here and get out of exactly what they wanted. Sure send them to the detention hall, give them exactly what they want, to get out of the damn class. So yea it’s no punishment to many, it’s a free period to them. And on top of that College students in Detention? What’s with that?

The Fire graduate did not take well to being threatened. He was confident in his ability to stand up for himself and he was also proud, so he narrowed his eyes at Enzair, scowling. "Don't threaten me unless you know what you're dealing with." Enzair had never gotten into a fight with Joshua when they were friends, he didn't know how vicious the fellow graduate could really get. Josh didn't back down in a fight until he was unconscious or his opponent was defeated. Who says I'm gonna let you get close? He wouldn't, he wasn't stupid. "Besides, Enzair, how are you going to explain that one to the cops?" He smirked, raising his brows in a challenging way. "They're not going to believe I can manipulate fire but they're sure as hell going to believe you use a couple cheap shots to take a man down. What happened to fair fighting, hm?" Now he was taunting, purposely trying to provoke Enzair's frustration. Joshua was also aware of pressure points, though it was for a different (medical) reason and he couldn't usually utilize them in a fight. However, he knew enough to at least try and defend himself. Years of anatomy classes came in handy after all. It was ironic that someone who wanted to become a doctor also got himself into loads of fights but he wasn't a coward, he wouldn't allow himself to back down from a challenge.
"And apart from that," he said, tone dark, "this is a metaphorical situation. If you touch Nell I'm not going to give a shit what you can or can't do." He would snap. You didn't mess with his loved ones. He usually didn't resort to cheap shots, wouldn't bring his knife out in a fist fight, but there was something about messing with Nell that flipped a switch. It made everything fair game. Nell was innocent, she was sweet, she didn't deserve anyone attacking her, especially not because of him. It left a bitter taste in his mouth when he thought about the fact that many of his old allies targeted Nell solely because she was the reason that he had switched sides. He'd much rather they started an honest fight with him, for he would fight back. He might not win but he certainly wouldn't just stand there and take it. That was not in his nature. It was in hers, though, and he often wondered how someone could be so extremely pacifistic. It made him severely protective, because if she wasn't going to defend herself then it seemed like he had to step in to stop others from doing serious damage. "I'm not afraid of you. You can't make me quail with a few choice words, Enzair, so I wouldn't even bother trying." The threats might have worked on someone else but Josh wasn't someone else.
The other Fire said something about not being a mindless monster and Joshua laughed bitterly, shaking his head. "So you'll threaten to hurt Nell, tell me you want her to be hurt, but you won't do it? You should listen to what comes out of your mouth." Enzair had just told Joshua that he regretted the fact that it wasn't like 'little whore'. Speaking of which... "I also noticed you avoided my question," he said. "How is Nell a whore? No, really! I want to know!" He spoke in the snide, condescending tone of a person who was completely exasperated with the empty words of another. He was really getting sick of insults that held no ground. Calling a girl 'whore' or 'slut' when she wasn't one didn't make any sense. I bet you ignored the question because you realised you're wrong, asshole.

(( I never defined but Enzair is on Joshua’s Left side, oh and defend yourself, Enzair is quite the hothead, you can controle the supervisor XD kick enzairs ass or something lol))
“Well… do you see any cops here? Because… I don’t” Commented Enzair, avoiding his question by ignoring it.
Enzair did not think Joshua was exactly getting it, he never said he himself would harm Nell. So either Joshua did not catch it or he just was not acknowledging that fact. And yea he had been avoiding that one question, anger can make a man say things that have no backup, but it does not matter. Enzair was pushed beyond breaking point. Taking a deep breath, threateningly looked at Joshua and briefly at the Supervisor then back to Joshua. Enzair Gave a quick hard jabbing kick to one of Joshua’s pressure points on his leg, a point so he would have a hell of a hard time walking with that leg for a few hours, since enzair was wearing hard but light boots it probably would hurt quite the something. Right now they were in the academy, the most that might happen is being suspended and being suspended at this time of the school year meant that they would have to come back next year. But at least they got their credits to pass.
The supervisor looked up with a sour look. He certainly had been hearing the argument, enzair wondered if this supervisor was going to do anything about it, so far all he has done is sit there and do shit. Sometimes Enzair wondered if any of these professor’s and supervisors even liked their job to even bother doing their job.
However, Enzair was ready to jump out of his seat at any moment and brawl, it was a bad place to fight, to many obstacles, enzair might lose, but it won’t be the first time. And Enzair probably does need his ass handed to him again. He had been growing ever more cocky and rude since his string of victorious fights. And it has been annoying the hell out of many, even some of his own friends. Enzair’s honor for fair fighting has gone out the window a long time ago, specifically when Joshua betrayal tipped him over the edge, with the combination of arrogance and overzealous confidence.

Enzair had said he regretted that Nell hadn't been the one he'd taken down and so, in Joshua's opinion, that was as good as saying that he would hurt her if given the chance. If not, it was an empty threat, and in Joshua's mind only a coward made a threat that he wasn't willing to back up. "Ever heard of a phone, Enzair? They exist." Would he call the cops on someone? Well, Josh usually wasn't the type to rat someone else out but if Enzair was going to fight dirty then Joshua would be more than happy to try and land him with a night in the slammer. It would be satisfying to make him realise that his dirty little tricks were also illegal and could land a man in jail. He wasn't going to pick a physical fight with Enzair because, proud as he was, Joshua was not a complete idiot. He knew he wouldn't win. He also knew how dangerous using pressure points could be. Unfortunately for Enzair, using them to knock someone out effectively eliminated the other person's chance at fighting back and made the other graduate the instigator and only aggressor in a one-sided fight. The cops wouldn't like that. Hence Joshua's threat to call them, which was a very real threat should things get out of hand.
He raised an eyebrow when Enzair gave him a threatening look, wondering what the other Fire graduate planned to do. He was not expecting the sharp kick since he didn't think his fellow graduate would do something so reckless and so his reflexes were not quite quick enough to block. "Argh, fuck," he spat, fist clenching tight and muscles taught as he tried to ignore the pain. He hissed a breath through his teeth (god damn it, it hurt) and glared fiercely at his ex-friend. "You really are fucking stupid, aren't you?" What did he think, that he could just attack Joshua in a crowded room and get away with it? This was a school, a public place. They were sitting in front of a teacher who was there to supervise, to ensure that no rules were broken. Those rules happened to include 'no fighting', as did everywhere else. His free hand, the one that wasn't clenched so tight that his nails were digging into his palm, held the spot that Enzair had just struck. He wasn't even going to attempt to stand up right now, figuring that to do so wouldn't be the best idea, and he definitely wasn't going to fight back. Did Enzair think to antagonize him into a fight? That didn't work in front of a teacher.
Speaking of which, it seemed that supervisor was a Water elemental, for in the next half-second the entire area was drenched in a massive torrent of water. Joshua jerked back and away from it instinctively, seeing as he loathed the idea of drowning, but he had reflex on his side to cover up the moment of fear. Who wouldn't try to get out of its way? "I don't know who you think you are, Mr. Phoenix," the supervisor said dryly, walking around the desk to approach the two (having put down his paper at last), "but this is a detention hall. Are you not in here for fighting in the first place?" So was Josh, really, but the supervisor seemed to be ignoring him for the time being. Suited Joshua fine. There was no 'hey, are you alright?' but at least saying nothing was better than getting him into trouble when he hadn't done anything. "If you don't wish to be expelled from the Academy I would suggest straightening your act." Joshua had gotten that threat once or twice. He figured it was a legitimate one and it had been part of the reason he'd tried to cut back on how often he got into physical fights at school. He couldn't afford to be kicked out. He wondered if it was the same for Enzair. Or, well, he would have wondered, but at present he was focused on how much pain he was in and how he really wished that murder was not illegal.

Expulsion… it sent a little wave of the ‘butterflies’ through him. Taking a deep breath he looked to Joshua then back to the supervisor. Enzair had been expecting Joshua to react if he ever did, he may have knew him once but that was then, actions now are mostly guess work, and with his focus solely on Joshua he had not expected to Supervisor to blast water around, drenched and ruining his cast of which he now has to go get it replaced.
“Yes sir… it won’t happen again… He should recover in a few hours…” Said Enzair, he was never given that threat before, and he did not like the idea of expulsion. He liked this school; it was the only place he feels that he could fit in with others like him. But for now that life was in risk, enzair is a hotheaded, reckless, idiot who often acts before he thinks about the consequences and his attitude from the events of today did nothing to help the situation.
Looking over the two for a moment he slowly got up, brushing his wet hair back, he then said, “May we go get dry? And I will need a new cast.”
Enzair held his arm up to the bottom of his chest; he felt a faint pain as the now wet and heavy cast put strain on his arm, so he just let his arm hang down for now fearing the doctor did not do an accurate check on the extent of the injury. He did not know if the Supervisor would just tell them to sit back down and make or, separate them, or allow them to go get dry and perhaps the both of them meet the doctor. In this current situation, Enzair was thinking that he would just tell them to sit back down but on different sides of the room. Being the antagonist it is likely Joshua is the one set free for a few to dry up and get his arm checked like he should, it might get infected, or worse, if that happened enzair would be a little relieved that Joshua is gone for a few, but also angry that he had to stay instead.

Post by JOSHUA DONOVAN DALE on May 16, 2012 15:31:14 GMT -5
Shuddering slightly with a combination of anger and pain, Joshua slowly unclenched his fist and studied the light welts in his palm from where his nails had dug into the skin. Not deep enough to bleed (that would have taken a lot more force and a lot sharper nails) but deep enough to be noticeable. He studied his hands so that he wouldn't have to look at the professor or at Enzair. The latter would infuriate him and he was worried about the thought process of the former. He hated it when others had power over him, when they could 'decide his fate' in a way. It was not a good feeling. He figured he wasn't going to get off scot-free for this and that the professor was merely dealing with the worse of two evils for the time being. Hours? Fucking great. Well if he looked on the bright side, at least it hadn't crippled him. Pressure points were dangerous things. If it had he'd have made sure to do something spiteful like sue. Joshua was rich, he could afford wasting his own money on lawyers to make another person's life difficult for them. He wouldn't, though, not unless it was for something serious. Crippling was serious, a simple cheap shot was not.
The professor glanced between the two males when Enzair asked if they could go, as if doubting the fact that they wouldn't break into a brawl the moment they got outside the door. "I'm good to stay here," he told the professor, partially so there wouldn't be further confrontation and also because he didn't want to walk right now with the pain in his leg. Fuck Enzair. That had hurt like a bitch. Josh had a high tolerance for pain but that didn't mean he was immune to the feeling, only that he wouldn't be on the ground and crying like a bitch about it. "Are you sure?" Josh nodded and the professor looked to Enzair. "Go to the medical wing and get that cast replaced. You'll have detention with me every day for the next school week." That being Monday to Friday, of course. Turning his attention to Joshua, he said, "You'll be sitting another detention as well. Come in on Saturday. I don't want you two together again." Like I'm gonna complain about that. Maybe if he'd been in a better mood he might have thought it was funny that the supervisor was basically trying to separate them like you might separate two kids on a playground but he wasn't in the mood for amusement right now. Josh assumed that if he hadn't started the argument that had led to Enzair attacking him that the other graduate might have been suspended or gotten some other "worse" punishment but since Josh had a part in the argument, he wasn't getting away without consequence of his own. Whatever. He'd deal with it.
[Assuming this will end with your post, should we have another with them or?]

((Sure, since the majority of my posts have been with You and Nell, quite literally all of them since it seems two of mine have died before they can get going. I was thinking on a post with You and Nell, if you want you or Nell can start it))
Surprisingly the advisor decided to separate them, however regardless he was now to head to the medical wing to get the cast replaced, also to ask the doc to thoroughly check his arm to make sure what the damage really is. Enzair nodded in acknowledgement and headed off to the medical wing. Enzair may have his pride, but he was no fool if he was injured, even if it were minor he will still get it checked. Unless it’s a meddling cut, only serious injuries or what feels serious.
Entering the medical wing Enzair looked for the nearest doc, well one that was a fire or thunder, he had a slight suspicion that it was a bad checkup because of the doc was a earth element before. To Enzair’s luck he found one thunder Doctor. He asked him to replace his cast and check his arm, not in that exact order.
The doc gladly checked Enzair’s arm and gave him an thorough check, but not much, minor muscle damage, heal like a charm, like it was never damaged. But it explains the faint pain coming through the sedatives, also why it’s slow moving, enzair thought it was the sedatives, well it’s both but still. He then was given a new cast, this one black, and a lot more stiff too this one restricting the movement of his hand as to allow perfect healing.
