Chase trudged his way up the cliffs Nell had told him about. He didn't believe a damned word that came out of her mouth, but he'd see if the entrance to their dorms was actually there before kicking her around anymore. The man walked at a leisurely pace, his blonde hair blowing in the wind. He was more concerned about what he would do to her if there wasn't anything there rather than what to do if there was. He had enjoyed their little session back there. They should meet like that more often, make it a daily thing. It gave him a good warm up for the day and he'd also get to take out his morning crankiness on her. Win/win situation...well for Chase anyways.
Soon enough Chase saw the caves looming in the distance and quickened his pace. He was now moving at a light jogging speed, his head bobbed around loosely. The closer he got, the more the feeling of excitement grew inside him. Then he got to the caves and...nothing. His face fell, smile fading to be replaced by a stone cold expression. His fists clenched and he gritted his teeth, "That lying little bitch," he growled it out. His hands sparked to life with flames as he turned and headed back towards the main ground of the school to find her, he was going to make her sorry she ever fucked around with him.
Chase ran around the entire school looking for the little tramp, but he couldn't find her and it pissed him off even more. He had only a couple more places to look, and right now he was heading to the Mess Hall. The doors opened with a slam as the angered student kicked them. His eyes scanned the now stunned crowd of students and then he caught site of her. "You little tree hugging wench, you're dead!" he said as he made his way over to her. Chase didn't a fuck to how the student body would react this threat upon anothers' life. She had fucked with him, and no one did that and got away with it.

Altair didn't know whether or not to trust Nell. The Earths were always too kind and genuine for their own good, so maybe the information Chase got was legit. She wouldn't be too surprised. They were pussies, after all, never lift a finger against anyway. Nell certainly didn't fight her, even though the bitch did have a smart mouth. Fucking cunt, I hope Chase messed her up good. She spent some time on the cliffs to smoke, but never suspected that there may be an entrance to the dorms there. It seemed reasonable enough. She lit a smoke as she followed after her fellow leader, looking out for a few moments at the lake before returning her attention to the mission at hand.
Of course, there was no entrance in any of the caves that it would make sense for there to be an entrance in. She breathed out the smoke through her nostrils, eyes cold. Oh Nell, she thought. Chase's reaction was a lot more noticeable than hers, and she stamped out the cigarette before heading back to the school, hands in her jeans pockets. She knew what Chase had in mind because she was thinking the same thing. However, she also wondered if the bitch's boyfriend would be around her. He was in college, she didn't know what grade. He won't be able to handle the two of us, she thought. Two on one would be unfair, but that didn't matter. She didn't even count Nell in. Cunt wouldn't lift a finger, would she?
She rolled her eyes when Chase kicked at the doors, as if she wasn't one for dramatics either. They spotted the girl quickly enough, sitting with her Earth friends, all of them looking at the interlopers on their peaceful meal. There were murmurs, some people had even returned to eating, ignoring the angry outburst. Altair looked around, and then her eyes slid back to Nell. "What, Joshy not around?" Her tone could almost be considered pleasant. "A real shame, isn't it?" The intent was there in her eyes, and she was sure the Earth girl would be able to tell that she was prepared for a fight. Maybe Dale's presence would have prevented this, since he did a good job of kicking her ass last time.

Nell was safe and her bubble of living in the moment. She didn't think things through, that Chase would look to back up the information she had given him. She just wanted to get away from him in the moment, throw him a bone so she could retreat and regroup. It had worked exceptionally well for her, if she said so herself. She was a pretty good actress when she wanted to be, perhaps it was in her blood. Jane was a performer, lied to the entire world about everything that Nell was. But in truth, the girl was a genuine person, honest to everyone who was her enemy. And Chase became an enemy for her the moment he brought words against Josh and her element into it. Really, like I'd have given up my kin to him. She was loyal, she wouldn't dare do such a thing.
She had been having a pleasant enough meal with her friends when the doors banged open, and they all looked to see who it was. At first, she thought nothing of it. Just the Fire leader venting some of his rage, nothing new there. She didn't even bristle when she saw Altair's blue eyes almost instantly zero in on her. She almost wanted to laugh at the word 'wench' but instead she stood from the table, not wanting her friends to be in any danger of the two Fire leaders. "What ever do you mean, Chase?" she asked, even though she had a good idea that he found out. Well shit. A lot of eyes were on them now, too many eyes.
She looked at Altair when the girl spoke up. "You're really going to fight me?" Nell questioned, now wishing that she had Josh around. She hated the feeling of being protected, like she needed to be protected, but Josh's presence would have been wonderful. He took care of Altair once before. "How about we settle this some other way, huh? Fighting is clearly going nowhere." In reality, she was trying to figure out some way to get out of this one. She thought on her feet, this was her element, but she kept her eyes trained on the Fire leaders. This situation was definitely not good, and not something she wanted anyone to defend her in. Her friends were Earth, just like her. The Fire leaders would be the Santa Ana fires in September, crushing all plant life.

Chase stood there pissed off and ready to go, but first he'd allow the two women to finish their exchange of words. He didn't want to talk to the little cunt, she'd done enough talking back in the dungeons. The Fire leader gave Nell a smile, "You don't have to fight, just stand there and die." Flames engulfed his hands as he directed them towards Nell, two streams of fire hurdling at her. Should that hit she would be, well done. Chases' smile widened as he released his anger on the girl.
She would piss him off for the last time, at the very least he'd put the bitch in a hospital. His eyes glanced around at her other Earth buddies, he dared one of them to move. He'd fry them too, though he supposed he should leave some of the fun for Altair. It wasn't like she didn't deserve a shot at the little bitch. He lowered his hands, she had either dodged or found away to block most of it. He knew she wasn't dead, sadly. "Tch, it's a shame the fiancé ain't here. I just bet he'd love to watch you burn." Chase started walking towards the Earth students, hands still alight with flames. "Personally, I think I'm doing him a favour. By getting a worthless piece of shit like you out of his life." He smiled again, "Still, I'm gonna kill him too." He wanted her pissed, he wanted her to lose her cool and do something stupid so he could send her up in flames.
The students in the Mess Hall who had thought nothing of the encounter at first were all now either watching intently, or screaming their heads off and trying to get out. News of this fight would probably reach the ears of a teacher, but either way Chase planned on beating the bitch down before anyone came to her rescue. Then, oh yes then when the other two traitors came looking for him, he'd deal with them too. "I'm going to rip your little play thing, limb from limb." He raised his left hand and shot another stream of flames at her. He was going to go all out with this one.

Altair raised a fine eyebrow at the other girl's question. "How cute, playing innocent." She didn't have to say anything else, they both knew what was up. Chase was immediately on the offense, which was fine with Altair. Let him take his rage out on the little bitch. With her mouth, it was like she wanted to get burned. And maybe they shouldn't have been giving the Earth cunt what she wanted. He went on about Josh, and simply the idea of him infuriated Altair. The blond conjured up her own flames, let them dance along the palm of her hand, bouncing as if waiting for her to command them. Her smile was on Nell. She hoped it terrified her, hope it made her squirm. She fucking deserved it, with the bull shit she put them through.
It was like the Fire leader was trying to incite Nell. Would it work? It would be an interesting development for an Earth to stand up for herself, but fruitless all the same. Fire beat Earth, elemental rock paper scissors had her beat. Altair felt no sympathy for the girl. She played them for fools. "This time, I can follow through on my promise." The flame she sent in Nell's direction wasn't quick, didn't need to be, and it licked at the other girl's hair like an animal testing it out. She said that she'd burn off her hair before Dale interfered. There had been no reason for Altair to fight Nell at the time save for the fact that she was there, and an Earth, and the blond had been pissed. Back then, she didn't need more of a reason. Even now, she really didn't need one. Then came Chase's attack, and the bitch wasn't getting out of this one.

Nell made it a point to ignore Altair, she didn't look about ready to attack her like Chase did. But there was still a warning in the other girl's eyes, clouds forming for the storm. She would have rolled her eyes at the 'stand there in die' comment, the absurdity of it, if he hadn't sent his flames in her direction. You're not afraid. With that thought, she summoned up one of her bramble walls to protect her from the majority of the flames before it burnt. At least she was defending herself, that was a good thing.
She knew some of her friends were sticking around, a sign of support or concern, she didn't know, and so she said calmly, "Guys...get out of here." She didn't want anyone else to get hurt in this. It was his turn to bring up Josh, and she eyed him carefully, expression unreadable. Her eyebrows shot up at his claim. "Oh really? You're going to kill him? You're a cocky high schooler, ain't ya?" Then her expression turned more venomous. "Touch him and you'll be eating from a straw, youngblood." She didn't take well to threats against Josh, and he knew that. She could understand that he was probably just egging her on. Still, she also knew that there was malicious intent there.
Her gaze found Altair, and she tried to keep both the Fire leaders within her line of sight so they couldn't pull anything over on her. She moved out of the way of the girl's flames, knowing that it was only a mock move. And unfortunately, it sent her in the direction of Chase's fire. She tried to match the direction of his fire with a funnel of flowers, manipulating it to send the Fire away. She couldn't keep this up for long, these dodge and avoid tactics. College helped with stamina, but she just wasn't a fighter. "You're really going to fight me here, with teachers around?" she challenged, wondering if this would help. Probably not. But she needed something.

Chase had a half smirk on his face from Altairs' comment about "playing innocent". If Chase knew anything it was that this little "innocent" bitch in front of him was about to be burned to a crisp. He hated being manipulated, and to make it worse a little Earth bitch did it. Oh like he was going to her get away with that. She was dead, toast and any other word in the dictionary that meant she was fucked. As Altair threw her fireball, Chase sent his own stream of fire at Nell. Leaving the girl with little room to do anything, but somehow she managed to redirect Chases' flames in time with a funnel made out of flowers.
"Well what do we have here, a little Earth cunt standing up for herself. I must say I'm...not impressed." Chase raised his other hand and shot another stream of flames at her, at the same time he stopped the stream from his left hand. He started walking forwards to her as he sprayed flames at her, then in his left hand formed fireballs and started to throw them one after the other. The little bitch would tire out before him, Earth elementals were weak and not cut out for fighting. That though couldn't be said for the Fires. Chase laughed at her attempt to get out of her situation, "By the time teachers get here, we'll be done with you bitch." The Fire leader now had a menacing look on his face, he was out for blood. And he intended to get his due.

The flower funnel worked well enough before it burned away, leaving her with some minor irritants in her arms. She could deal with that, it was like touching the seat belt on a summer day. Nothing, really. Or that’s what she needed to convince herself for mind over matter. Two against one was hardly fair, they were ganging up on her and she’d told her friends to leave this, she didn’t want them to get hurt. Nell rolled her eyes, quite underenthused herself with Chase’s comment. ”Wow, it’s incredible how much your opinion really matters to me, Chase,” she said dryly. She liked talking, it staved off the fighting. Even now her stomach twisted. Her friends who kickboxed or did MMA liked to go on about the rush, the adrenaline, but she liked that rush when it came to different things. Fighting was not one of them.
Chase was lobbying attacks at her. The mess hall was a difficult place to fight in, but luckily nearby people had vacated. She wondered if it was possible to flip a table over like they did in the movies, and almost laughed at the idea. Instead, she dodged what she could and skirted her way down the tables. Running, of course. She did it very well. When she felt the heat getting close, she tried to negate it with her own earthen powers, and it worked in buffering the attacks. Not cancelling them, unfortunately, and she was already smarting something fierce. ”Yeah, and you’ll be passed out,” she told Chase, wondering if he honestly believe shooting out attacks like that wouldn’t exhaust him. Sure, she believed he had pretty good stamina, but no one could just hand out blows like that without a drain. And in terms of stamina, she was the one with the upperhand. She was in college, this is what they trained for.
She gasped when Altair slipped behind her, not having kept an eye on her considering she was focusing on Chase’s attack. She was a smart fighter, and Nell bit her lip, actually feeling the fear as she looped her arms through Nell’s, bringing them behind her back. ”Hit her with your best shot, Chase,” Altair said, and she could hear the sneer in the other girl’s voice. She struggled, trying to break free, but the Fire leader was not only taller than her but built more like a fighter. There were muscles there, muscles that Nell did not have.

Chase was getting annoyed as the little bitch ran around throwing up bramble. Seriously, this was another reason to hate the little Earth elementals. All they did was run around and annoy people, "For fucks sakes!" She was right if she kept this up, he'd be out of energy. Chase dropped his arms and decided he needed a better way to approach this situation. He could just try to surround her with flames, but the chance of him getting her to stand still long enough for a circle of flames to surround her wasn't too high.
At least that's what he thought until Altair grabbed her. He'd almost forgotten that she was here, looks she wanted in on the fun too. Chase smiled when Altair grabbed Nell and raised both his hands. Flames sparking to life just before shooting out at the Earth girls face, "Hold her nice and tight for babe, I'm gonna turn this little bitch a nice little engagement gift for Josh." Burnt bride? Sounded like a great gift didn't it? Play with fire you get burnt. Chase was finally glad that the little cunt stopped moving. It was a pain when she was running around, but now that she couldn't move he'd burn the shit out of her. He just hoped he didn't get Altair while he was at it, he didn't wanna damage that sexy blonde that kept him interested in being an Elemental Leader.

Nell was glad to see that her words worked on some level, that he stopped flinging attacks at her. It was a reprieve, really, but for how long? He had fists, too, and she couldn't fight hand-to-hand. And that was why when Altair grabbed her and held her down, she knew that she was screwed. Her bangs hung in front of her eyes and she couldn't move to get a better look, and she felt more and more panic at that. She hated the feeling of being powerless, it was one of the things that managed to absolutely terrify her. Like being trapped in a small space, the elevator, the closet, the jail cells, closing in, and suddenly Altair felt like a prison. It happened when she could see fate approaching in the form of the fire in Chase's hands. The September fires, that's what she saw there, the burning oleanders and palms.
She felt the flames lick at her but in almost the same instant she felt the crash of water and opened the eyes she hadn't realized she'd closed to see a professor glaring daggers at Chase and sliding his eyes over to Altair. "Ms. Bennett, release her please," he said, and she heard the muttered curses near her ear as she let go and Nell could breathe a little easier. But just a little easier, for she felt the stinging of the burns in her entire body. "Both of you, come with me," he said then, nodding his head as if a sheepdog trying to guide them. "What's your name?" he asked and Nell answered in a shaky breath. "Nell Shepherd, sir." She didn't even know whether or not he wanted a last name, it just came out on its own. "Ms. Shepherd, I suggest you head to the medical wing for those burns." He sounded official but still slightly sympathetic, and she gazed at Chase with cold eyes for a moment before tucking her tail between her legs and heading to one of her least favorite places.
[decided that i didn't want nell to die, so... you can reply back if you like. ^^]
