She didn't remember how she'd gotten there, she didn't even remember what had happened. Last thing she remembered, she was sitting in the hallway with her sketch pad, just sketching one of the stained glass windows, next thing she knew, she was here...laying in a bed in the medical wing, with a breathing tube in her nose. What the hell had happened? "Oh, Miss DeVrois, you're awake." Noly sat up, a pounding in her head making her whimper a little bit. "Now now, don't strain yourself. I'm sure you're wondering what happened." Noly nodded her head, but it hurt to do so. "well...I never thought someone could be so frail. He didn't even hit you...he just shoved you a little bit and you were knocked out cold." Noly blinked a bit...Now who could've...?
"Well well well, little fishy all alone."
The words went through her brain, and she wanted to cry. "I remember. I was drawing...He tried to take my sketch book...and I hit my head when he let go." She whined once again as she slumped back down into the bed. "We've already contacted the Higher Ups about this little problem." At this, Noly shot straight up, shaking her head. "No!" Don't do that! It wasn't his fault I got hurt." She gave a sigh and laid back down, rubbing her eyes a bit. After a moment, she pulled the tube from her nose, seeing as she was now awake.
"You can go now, I just need to rest." The nurse nodded, but hesitated. "You have a concussion. That brick did a number on you. So take it easy." She left then, leaving Noly to her own musings before closing the curtain.
When she was gone, Noly sighed. How could she have let that happen? Why did he get to her so much? Every single thing he did made her want to cry. What had she ever done to him...? She sighed louder when she saw the dirt on her arms. That meant her entire outfit was covered in dirt as well. Plus, her wig was gone, which made her want to cry in itself. That was her favorite.... "Oh...Woe is me..."

”Flank me!” Nell whispered as she conspiratorially hid behind her two friends as they stepped into the medical wing. The Water girl cast her a look and asked, ”Are you sure about this, Nell?” Nodding in determination, Nell said, ”I need to see that she’s all right.” Her more neurotic Earth friend gave her a worried glance and Nell squeezed his hand. ”I hate asking this of you and putting you in harm’s way, but—“ He cut her off and shook his head. ”I put myself in harm’s way the instant I sided with you,” he pointed out. She nodded. Yes, everyone who sided with her was in danger. But now she was urging her friends into the hotspot.
”Though…” The Water girl smirked. ”You could live without the disguise.” Nell adjusted the fedora on her head, into which her hair was tucked up and a mustache that one of the Water students had. They entered the medical wing unnoticed really with all the other kids around suffering from injuries in the war. She approached a nurse and asked in a falsely deep voice: ”Excuse me, but do you know where Hannoly DeVrois is?” The nurse gave her a strange look before directing her toward the girl, and Nell hurried off.
Opening the door, she almost gasped. There was tubes shoved up her nose and everything! ”Nono!” she cried out, coming up to the girl. The Water student looked a hot mess with dirt all over and everything. ”I heard that you were in the medical wing because of a concussion and I came to see how you were doing. How are you doing?” Nell asked, the concern clear in her tone. Then she giggled a bit and said, ”Please don’t mind the fedora and mustache. I needed to sneak in here.” And it was worth it to see if Noly was okay. She started fussing around her, fluffing up her pillows and inspecting to make sure everything was all right. Hospital-esque areas gave her the creeps thanks to her first and last admission into one after she murdered her mother. ”What exactly happened?” She was curious, though she knew it might have had something to do with the war. Of course, it was always the war.

That's it. She was sick of this place. She just had to get out of here. She couldn't be cooped up like this forever. She was great-full to whoever helped her though, and would be sure to thank them as soon as she fully got back on her feet again. Which, if she had to do anything about it, would be as soon as she changed her clothes. All she had to do was figure out what was up with all these wire and stuff. She sat up, looking at the machines. Well...That one was obviously the sticker on her arm...
She was just pulling off the wires when her curtain was thrown open, and Nell, horribly disguised, barged in. She couldn't even get a word in before the girl started to fuss around her, fluffing pillows and such. She gave one of these faces >_< and grabbed her by the shoulders, holding her still. "Calm down, will ya? I'm fine."
And besides the pounding headache, she was fine. There wasn't even a cut or scrape on her. Of course, footsteps made her eyes widen, and she quickly closed the curtain. "Miss DeVrois? Your monitors are offline. Is everything alright?" Hannoly gave a sigh of relief. "Yes, everything's fine. I was just feeling it was a bit much." The nurse didn't answer, simply walked away. Noly gave a sigh of relief before looking back at Nell. "What were you thinking?! Are you crazy, coming out here yourself?! You have my cell phone, you could've just called! You could've gotten yourself hurt, or worse, killed!" She kept her voice low, but made sure that Nell understood the grandure of the situation. Of course, she couldn't keep it up for much longer. The tears started to fill her eyes, and she wrapped her arms around her best friend in a tight hug. "Nell...I was so scared! I couldn't even remember what happened! B..But. Alex. It was Alex! I don't think he meant to hurt me this time. It just..happened. He...He tried to take my sketchbook, but let go at the last second. My head hit the wall. I.." She lost in then, convulsing with sobs into her friends shoulders. "I..I just wanna get out of here!" She knew what Nell would say though. There was no way she was going anywhere. Nell was more like her mother in times like these, and she knew she wasn't getting away with even a minor injury. She could try, though. Plus, she wanted to find Alex. Her tolerance was running on a thin string, and he was close to cutting the cord. She was scared, though, she didn't know what would happen if he actually did it. She couldn't hurt a fly! But who knew when someone was pumped up full of adrenaline...[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Even as Noly grabbed her and told her to cool it, Nell was just grinning stupidly at her face. The Earth girl pinched her cheeks. Nell couldn’t help it. She was being totally adorable after all! ”So cute!” she cooed. Kay, time to be mature and not fawn over every adorable sight. More serious, she said, ”You sure? Because…I could get a nurse or something.” Speaking of nurses, one approached about the Water girl having taken out the wires, Nell felt a bit ridiculous in her disguise. But with Noly’s reassurance that she was okay, the nurse left them be.
Then suddenly Nell was being admonished again and she blinked a few times as she processed the little tirade. ”I had friends escort me. I needed to see you in person, they told me—“ She stopped short when Noly practically collapsed into her, sighing softly. She clearly wasn’t as fine as she claimed she was. ”Oh Nono…” Nell murmured, rubbing soothing circles in the girl’s back. Poor thing, must have been terrible. Nell felt her protectiveness for the girl shoot through the roof. Especially when she said that Alex was the one causing the problems. That guy was seriously starting to tick her off, fucking with her friends like he did. She was about ready to stomp up to him and demand that he lay off her friends, but that was a very dangerous notion. Even more dangerous than going in to the medical wing. But she realized how much she needed to be with her baby right then. ”It’s all right, niña, he won’t hurt you when I’m around.” The Spanish word was something she used to say to her twin to when the girl had a fit and coughed up blood and would break down. It meant baby, but that wasn’t what had mattered—when she used to say it to her sister, the girl mentioned how she liked how it sounded it didn’t even care for the meaning.
It was times like these that Nell wondered at Elaine’s affection for Alex. That he could be so cruel sometimes, and—Then she remembered she was friends with Josh, someone who tried to kill her. There is something wrong with this world. Nell waited for the Water girl to calm and make her request. She studied her eyes for a moment before sighing once more. ”You need to rest, niña,” Nell said softly, wiping the tears from the other girl’s face. ”You’ve obviously been through a lot, and you’re going to hurt yourself even more by trying to move and go somewhere.” And the Earth girl was afraid her friend would go and do something very dangerous with Alex. Nell couldn’t let that happen. This war was already bad enough, she didn’t need Noly to keep getting hurt. ”In the meantime, do you want me to get you anything? Like food?” With Nell, food always made everything better. But she was reluctant to leave Noly’s side. However, if Noly did need anything she can just ask her friends to get it. They were in the other room, keeping watch, so she just needed to hail them over…

Even with all her sisterly love for the other girl, when she pinched her cheeks, she gave a little glare. She loved it when the girl doted on her, but sometimes, she took it just a little too far. She didn't say anything, though. She didn't want to break her biffles heart! That would be tragic to the max, and Noly didn't even want to go to there.
Almost as instantly as Noly's emotional bridge came down, Nell's changed as well. She held her and comforted her just like her mother hand done, and just had the girl had done multiple times when she was targeted. She snapped again once nell spoke. Her head snapped up and she backed away, rubbing at her eyes. "Nell. Don't even think it! It's bad enough I put myself in danger by going out and about all willy-nilly like. But you know you can't. You can't risk it!And the next time you go out, I'm doing your disguise....Just saying..." Her voice grew quiet again, because Nell went back to her motherly speech. Of course, Noly didn't mind one bit.
Of course, Noly wined, but she didn't complain. She knew Nell wouldn't let her leave, but, she wouldn't let the girl leave, either. She wouldn't risk it when she wasn't with her. She held a finger to her lips, motioning for Nell to keep quiet. She slipped out of the curtain area to find a nurse. "Excuse me. The medication you gave me earlier is kicking in. I'm going to rest now, I would like it if I wasn't disturbed." The nurse simple nodded and Noly went back to the area, smiling at Nell slightly. "I may not be leaving, but neither are you. I don't feel right letting you leave without me. I only have to stay tonight, so tomorrow you leave with me." She nodded a bit before grabbing her bag from beside the bed. "I always have an extra outfit and accesories, so I'm taking you out of here when I leave." She tilted her head with a grin as she handed the bag to Nell. "Go ahead, I think you'll like the stuff in there. And don't judge, there is a wig in there." She gave a bright grin before she sat down on the bed, sighing a bit.
"Nelly...I'm not going to lie to you. I was getting ready to run. Right before you came in, I was getting ready to get out of here. I don't like it Nelly.." Her voice got small, and she gave a bit of a pout. She was hoping Nell would let her leave. She just wanted to be back in her own bed again, where she could relax away from other people. She could get the day off from classes Monday because she was in the Medical Wing, even though she left...
Nell asked if she wanted anything and she blinked for a minute. "It's...the weekend tomorrow. No classes." She thought for a moment before blinking up at Nell. "Could we go...To Maple Hollow tomorrow? We could...Get a hotel room and party until we drop. You could bring whoever you want! I won't mind." She gave a smile before she tried to scrub the now dry tears from her face.

Nell even thought the girl’s glare was cute, which would probably be her greatest downfall once Noly decided to kick her ass. But she couldn’t help it! Calm down, Nell. ”Sorry, Nono,” she said, ruffling up the back of her hair. Yeah, the Earth girl could get a little carried away with herself.
Woop, another mood whiplash! Nell blinked as the girl scolded her once more, and she still looked so cute, but she behaved herself, hands in her lap. “I’m always in danger. Everything I do might get me killed.” She winced slightly. “But I’d rather be killed protecting a friend than as a coward who turns her back on the people she loves.” That was rather dramatic and martyr-like, but it was true. Nell didn’t want to be the coward she knew she was—a pussy just like her father, as her aunt had told her—an so even though she couldn’t defend herself, she’d make sure her friends stayed safe. Even if that meant putting herself in even more danger. ”…it’s really that bad?” Nell stroked the fake hair on her upper lip as if mulling over it. Yeah, it was pretty damn terrible, she knew.
Nell waited patiently and silently as Noly slipped away, and waited for her to return. So the girl wasn’t letting her leave? She grinned. Well, that was fine, in Nell’s eyes. She’d stay with the Water girl as long as it took. ”But of course,” she replied, as Noly took out the bag. She didn’t have anything to do, which is why she was able to come here so quickly in the first place. Taking the bag from Noly, she peaked inside and squealed. ”Blue!” she chirped. It was her favorite color, and so she grew excited as she rifled through the contents and pulled out the wig. Taking off her fedora and placing it on her head, she said, ”I always wondered what it would be like as a blond.” Then she chuckled, moving her head around so the hair swayed. Then, she asked the Water girl, ”Why do you have this stuff with you?”
She looked back up at Noly when the girl explained that she was about to bolt out of here and Nell eyed the wires around her. ”I noticed.” She was being hypocritical since she’d pulled a similar stunt—but she ran away from the hospital because otherwise she’d be released into police custody. But the poor girl sounded so tiny and innocent, Nell just wanted to give her anything she wanted. ”I know, it sucks here. But you got hurt, and it’s a necessary evil, Nono.” She would know. Because she ran away, her stitches opened a few times and now it healed like she was cut with a serrated blade. ”Just sleep her for the night, and I’ll stay with you and keep you safe, kay?”
A smile found its way onto Nell’s lips. Would a party be good in her condition? It must have been a minor concussion…but still. Well, Nell would just keep an eye out for her. And she said she’d asked if she had wanted anything. ”All right,” Nell replied. ”I’ll call our peeps tomorrow and pay for the hotel room.” She felt proud when she said she could pay for the room—her dad gave her a very high limit. ”As a matter of fact, I’ll get us a suite in a nice hotel, kay?” At least Noly was getting better. Hopefully the prospect of a party would make her feel up to snuff.

Noly sighed a bit, but nodded her head. "I know, I know. And that's why I love you, Nelly. You're too kind for your own good. And you have balls." She gave a little laugh before she smiled the other girl. She had a good heart, she was just afraid that that heart was going to get her into more trouble than she's already in. Of course, her thoughts left as Nell pulled the clothes and wig from her bad. She gave a light laugh, but continued to grin as she ruffled the wig on the girl's head. "You know me, Nelly. I always have a wardrobe change in case I get in a bind." She gave a simple shrug, like it was the most normal statement in the world.
Of course, when Nell said that she noticed Noly was trying to run, the girl cast her eyes towards the ground. She felt a bit ashamed now that she looked at the situation. She felt like a convict ready to bolt, but caught by the fuzz at the last second. She gave a sigh, nodding. "But...I'm really okay. It doesn't hurt anymore, really." She protested poorly, only to have her words counteracted by a wave of diziness that made her knees buckle, causing her to sit back down on the bed. When the wave passed, she gave a nervous laugh and looked up to her friend, a shaky smile on her face. "S...See? Perfectly fine." Her attempt was weak, and she knew she wasn't getting out tonight. There was no was Nell was going to let her after that little episode.
Her smile firmed, though, when Nell agreed to her idea. "I'll help pay, don't worry." She smiled as she crawled into the bed, moving over to give Nell room. She knew the nurses wouldn't bother her. She gave a little yawn as she looked up at the ceiling. "We can get a bunch of movies, and food, and music, and hopefully there's a mini bar we can break into." She gave a bit of a giggle before yawning again. She knew that sometimes she could get a little carried away with her drinking, and Nell didn't like that much, but Noly hoped that was only the motherly side of her. She didn't want to get yelled at every time she did it. of course, She couldn't afford to slip up, either. So maybe she had a point. She gave another sigh before she patted the spot on the bed next to her. "Come on. The sooner we go to sleep, the sooner I can get out of this hell hole."

Noly was not good for her health. Not one bit. When she was just being so cute and adorable and huggable, how was Nell supposed to resist that? Thank god for amazing willpower. It was strange, this kind of flattery when her entire life had been built on thinking that she was the worst person in the world. ”Nono…I don’t know if you realize this, but you’re probably the nicest girl I’ve ever met.” This was far from a lie. It still amazed her, how awesome some people could be since she’d grown up with the worst person for a girl’s self-esteem. But what she didn’t tell Noly was that she didn’t believe a word she’d said. Except that she loved Nell. Because Nell loved her right back. She grinned as the girl mussed up her wig. ”You’re such an oddball, but you’re my oddball.” The words couldn’t have been spoken with any more affection if she’d tried.
Nell tilted her head, as Noly looked down. No, she didn’t think there could ever be a time when she didn’t worry about the girl, but that’s just how she was. Always worrying about people. And she knew that the girl worried about her, so it was a two way street. As Noly faltered, the Earth girl put an arm around her waist to help her back onto the bed, giving a dry smile as she said, ”Yep, you certainly seem fine.” She could have been healthy as a horse, and Nell would have still worried. She just didn’t stop. Especially when it came to someone like Noly who tended to get into trouble like this, and was just so naïve and innocent that it brought out the instinctive protectiveness in most people.
Nell smirked, as she usually did whenever the issue of money came up. It wouldn’t be trouble for her at all, not with all the money she was getting from daddy dearest. ”I wouldn’t allow it,” she said, leaving no room for argument. She’d pay for everything, and she kind of liked that power. Leave it to one who has been powerless her entire life to enjoy something she finally had control over. Nell laughed as Noly displayed her excitement. Yes, it definitely would be fun, but first. ”It’s time for bed. I’ll kick it in the chair.” How noble she was, letting Noly have the bed.
-----------Time skip ladedadedadeda~----------
When morning finally came, Nell was up first, mustache still on her face. Looking over at Noly, she remembered the times when she’d hop into her twin’s bed to wake the other girl up, and how Tilly would call her a freak for being such a morning person. ”Good morning sunshine, the earth says hello!” she started off, before going into full-blown singing. She bounced on the edge of Noly’s bed to get her to wake up. She was a freak, indeed.
[maybe we can end this thread since the war is over, and start a new one? :3 unless you want to rp the wild party. xD]
