DISTINGUISHING FEATURES He has one distinct scar running from his left shoulder blade down to the middle of his back. It's rather jagged and is fading subtly, but his pale skin creates a big contrast against his scar, causing it to stand out more than he is comfortable with. His eyes, too, are a distinguising feature--they are cold, almost as if they were void of emotion.
CLOTHING STYLE Nothing special, really. Emmett's wardrobe usually consists of dark colors and often it's just a sweater and jeans.

BEST MEMORY It was a few years before his parents split up. During this period, Emmett's parent were actually trying to make an effort for the sake of their son--however it was proved futile another year later, when they gave up all together; but that's getting off topic. The three of them visited Osaka, Japan, where Emmett was born. He vaguely remembered his birth place--it was a happy, bright memory, he recalled. It was a distant past and he hoped that it would once again be his present--although it was silly, Emmett's parents were making an effort and that's all he wanted. Seeing his parents smile, especially at each other, was Emmett's greatest and last memories of his parents.
WORST MEMORY It was two years after Emmett's parents' divorce. His mother had custody of him and he rarely saw his father--and when he did, he was either drunk or fighting with his mother. Emmett's mother could hardly earn enough money for a living and they both struggled, moving from place to place, trying to find decent work. One day however, his mother was unusally happy. Stunned and not knowing whether to feel relieved or uneasy, Emmett just decided to play along. It had been such a long time since he saw his mother smile, he didn't want to do anything to ruin it. And so, they spent the day together; going to the park, eating ice cream on the benches, and walking down the streets. Eventually the sun began to set and Emmett grew tired, but he noticed his mother seemed to be looking for something. He asked her what was wrong and she looked startled before smiling down at him. "Groceries," was all she said, and they headed toward the market. Halfway through their shopping, Emmett's mother absentmindedly said that she'd be in the vegetable section. He nodded and watched her go before skipping off to the candy section. He stayed there for about 5 minutes before walking to the vegetable section where his mother said she'd be--looking around, he saw no traces of her. Emmett, in a slight panic attack called out for his mom, however he got no response. He called out once again, running throughout the store, hoping to find his mother. After what seemed like an eternity, Emmett, his heart pounding and his face wet with tears, ran out the store. It was 7 o'clock. It was rush hour--every where Emmett turned, an unfamiliar face would be looking at him strangely. With little strength his child body had, he'd try pushing through the crowd, but it was no use. It was endless and he was trapped, calling out for his long lost mother who abandoned him in a sea of strangers.
LONG-TERM GOAL To find his parents.

HISTORY Haruhi Tadoshi and Kento Nakamura met on a stormy day. Haruhi was working at a coffee shop during this time and was just about to close the shop when a drenched man came knocking at the door. Usually Haruhi would turn customers away and tell them the store was close, but this man looked so lost and distraught she let him in.
One coffee and two hours of conversation, they connected on a level neither of them knew was possible--but they were so young, too naive. A year later they decided to get married, and another year later, they had Emmett. The first few years were blissful. The honeymoon stage is great, isn't it? However, from both sides of the family, Haruhi and Kento heard relentless disapprovements. "This is wrong, that is selfish, why are you so naive about the world?" In the end, they decided to escape from their parents' repetitive lecturing and left Japan.
At first it was hard to adjust and they both believed that it would eventually become better--but as time went on and Emmett grew up, they were proved wrong. With the honeymoon stage long gone, Haruhi and Kento argued day and night, often getting Emmett involved unintentionally. Despite that, Emmett managed to smile, because he believed his parents would somehow find a way to reconcile. However, years go on and it becomes too much for the both of them, so his parents divorce, leaving Emmett in his mother's custody. But once again, Emmett and his mother face more hardships, and she eventually abandons him in a crowd of people; unbeknownst to her, this creates Emmett's current phobia.
Emmett, once a happy and bright child, was now a helpless and hopeless little boy. He honestly had no where to go--all his relatives were in Japan, and even if he were to move back to his homeland, it would be like moving in with strangers. Emmett practically spent his whole life in Canada and spoke very little Japanese. Besides, he was just a child. After his mother abandoned him, Emmett hoped that if he were to wander the streets he would somehow find his mother again. Eventually, though, an old couple found him and reported him to child services, where he ended up in a foster home. He was once again in a sea of strangers and Emmett often isolated himself from the other children; and in return, they ignored him. At first he was more than grateful, but the feeling of loneliness eventually consumed him.
It was Emmett's fourteenth birthday. It was a rather stormy day and the other kids (who were against their own will) grudgingly held a birthday party for him. It was the first time Emmett and the other foster kids really interacted and he was slightly on edge; his heart was beating fast and his excitement was off the walls. The children, who were so used to ignoring him, noticed something strange about Emmett. His presence itself was enough to make their hairs stand on end it unsettled them. On instinct, they began to move away from him in fear. Feeling dejected, Emmett's feelings--which he often bottled up--started surfacing. Anger and frustration began to cloud his judgement and in his desperate desire to have friends, he grabbed the hand of a nearby girl about the same age as him. The girl, whose name he faintly remembered as Emily, yelled out in shock; it felt like an electric current was running through her veins and she pulled back in pure terror, her eyes wide in confusion and fear. Emmett felt it, too; it was a sharp pain, nothing like normal static electricity. He abruptly let go of her hand, horrified in what he had done.
This was the first time his affinity made itself present.
He then spent the next few days in his foster home silently. Didn't talk, nor did he respond to anyone. Even then, solitude was the best thing for him.
Sometime later in the week, strange people stopped by the foster home. They claimed to have known Emmett--but he was sure he hadn't seen them at all in his life. Though that was the case, the strange people and his foster owners spent hours talking about Emmett; from what he could hear, it was a boarding school that would be good for him, and by that, he assumed they meant his like for solitude and issues with his "troubled" past. Emmett's foster care owners were more than happy to accept and a week later, he found himself packed up and ready for the Academy. When he arrived, Emmett realized that the school was far from what the scouts had said it would be--it was a cover for the real thing; a school for people such as himself, possessing powers that could manipulate the world's elements, they told him. Despite the feeling of uneasiness, Emmett reluctantly accepted this fact. They would help him with his abilities.
Not having any particular attachment to the foster home and the owners, Emmett stays at the Academy most of the time, especially during the holidays. He sometimes visits the foster home but never stays the night--he could feel the judging eyes on him, and despite the effort the owners gave to make him feel comfortable, he never does. The Academy is the only place that actually makes him feel at home.

From other RP site.Jasper didn't know what time it was. He just knew that it was dark, past curfew, and that he couldn't sleep.
Sleep.
Ah, sleep. He hasn't had enough of it recently. Jasper's head would hit the pillow and then seemingly a few minutes later--which were really hours--he'd wake up, his heart racing and fresh images embedded in his mind. No matter how hard he'd try, Jasper wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. The fear of those images, or even worse, new images would come back and haunt him, scared Jasper. Insomnia, was what he said when people asked why he had such dark circles under his eyes, or when his eyelids would grow heavy during class and the teacher caught him. Jasper hoped that this was a temporary thing, but deep inside he knew this was psychological. But it was past midnight right now, Jasper didn't want to think.
And so now here he was, wandering the dark halls of Hogwarts. The bright moonlight shone through the windows, casting rays of lights in a line. "Black, white, black, white," he mumbled to himself as he walked past the windows.
He sighed, this wasn't making him any sleepier. If anything, it made him annoyed. Why all these nightmares? Why did they have to implant so many horrific scenes in his head? Making him fear closing his eyes at night, being restless in the morning and having to repeat it, day after day. Jasper just couldn't get used to the lifestyle.
Jasper was now in the empty tower, looking down at the view. A soft, cool breeze wrapped itself around him and his sighed, breathing in the fresh air. He realized this was the first time in weeks where he felt at ease. He rubbed the dark circles under his eyes and leaned against the ledge. Breathing in again, Jasper didn't notice the other presence just feet away from him.
