WEATHER AND UPDATES
MONTH DECEMBER SEASON WINTER
UPDATES
04.12.09 Right, I tried putting it off for as long as I could, but eventually it had to be done. All inactive leader positions have been revoked. Also, to replace some of the positions, everyone now has the option of having two leader characters.
30.07.09 I have returned! I apologize to you all for my absence, but of course you know it wasn't voluntary. Great thanks to Allie for keeping it alive - I owe you. So I made her an administrator as well :)
19.06.09 We're in desperate need of Water and Earth students at the moment, if people haven't noticed. Those that we do have aren't very active, with the exception of a few members, you know who you are. It's sort of odd having the majority of the characters as Thunder and Fire, considering not only are they allies, but they're also the dark elements. We need some more peacekeepers, geez!
Also, my exams are almost over, so I'll probably try and come up with a new plot after the summer kicks in for precious old Canada over here! Tee hee!

"Really, now? Your blushing says different." Alexandre smirked lightly, amused that she was so offended by the fact that her liking for Drake was being found out. Hey, she was the only one to blame, if she hadn't nearly flayed that girl for her words then he most likely wouldn't have given it a second thought. "Why are you so damn defensive about it? Hell, I'm dating Migoto, who used to be more of an enemy to me than Drake seems to have been to you!" He didn't understand why people got so touchy about how they felt for each other. They needed to start building their damn bridges now so they could get over it before it was too late. "Keep in mind, I know you say you don't like him, but he won't stay single forever."
When the man finally reacted, his eyes widening, Alexandre smirked at him, before lunging forward and piercing his neck with his sharp fangs. The relief was instant as the blood coated his throat, and he didn't stop drinking until there was nothing left. He was left uncomfortably full, but there was no trace of blood in the snow. Which is what he'd been aiming for. If they left even the slightest evidence of foul play, the police would conduct a thorough investigation, and that was the last thing they needed.

"I don't like him!" Ronan insisted, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
She looked at Alex then at the female and got into position to pounce. As soon as Alex attacked, she followed andshoved her to the ground, crushing her neck beneath the palm of her hand. She inhaled deeply and and attached her fangs to the girl's neck.

Alexandre snorted lightly and rolled his eyes when Ronan insisted there was nothing between her and Drake. It was pretty obvious that something was going on, else she wouldn't overreact and practically bite his head off when he asked her about it. "Then why are you so damn defensive?" he challenged coolly, raising an eyebrow and leaning against the tree he was standing beside with a somewhat snide expression on his face. "If you don't like him, why do you act so unsure about it?" Alexandre still hadn't forgotten their conversation in the hallway. "You practically flew off the handle when that girl wanted to ask him out."
Thoughts of Rowan and Drake were all put aside, however, when two new scents billowed in around him and joined that of the musty bark and frigid snow. They were going to have to be more careful than usual about not leaving any traces, because there was snow on the ground due to the winter season. Alexandre felt his instincts rise up, but he didn't allow them to consume him. He would lose control if he did that, it had been longer than two weeks since he'd last hunted. Human blood could sustain the thirst much longer than animal blood, so luckily he wouldn't have to kill often. He slipped behind the tree so that he was concealed, and listened to the idle chattering of a young couple as they walked through the woods. The girl wanted children, the guy was considering. Basic story of young love, about to come to an end.
Usually females had a more enticing scent, but the male was closer, so it was he who became Alexandre's target. With the silence of a hunter he made his way to a place they were about to pass, signaling Ronan to make sure she took care of the chick before she screamed, then lunged at the male target with a feral snarl.
Alexandre relaxed almost immediately when he ventured into his part of the territory. He didn't like being around an area where other vampires hunted, it made him feel exposed and uncomfortable, but here, only he was allowed to hunt, and of course his girlfriend and whoever else he decided was cool enough to share. They weren't like wolves, who marked their scent borders, because they weren't part animal. They just sort of... knew... where all of the boundaries were. The forest was almost silent today, which was rare for a dangerous forest such as this. But it was also good, because he was going to get close to the edge of the territory, where it met the town. People sometimes took walks on the small trails on the outskirts of the wilderness, and it was a perfect time to strike. Alexandre could feel his conscience trying to dissuade him from doing what he was about to, reminding him what had happened with Katie, but as usual he ignored that small, internal, and usually correct part of his mind.
"I used to only hunt animals, and I thought I was screwed when I switched my diet back to it's roots, but then I stumbled across this." He smirked as he gestured for Ronan to follow him as he stepped into a small clearing. A few trails led into it here and there, and the ground was well-trodden by human footsteps. However, there were also good foliage and bushes to conceal oneself behind so that you didn't get caught, or seen, by your prey. Migoto would probably go off if she realized that he'd been hunting here a lot more than back at the usual, animal wildlife hotspots. "The trails come from the town," he explained. And there only was one town, they were up in the mountain ranges of course, nestled in a valley. A town and a school. In order to get anywhere else, you had to fly in and out. Plus, given that they killed their victims and drained them of all the blood through one small wound, usually to the jugular to kill instantly, it was pretty easy to conceal your tracks. He wasn't as afraid, killing like this, as he was when he'd killed the wind student from the Academy. "Couples seem to think it's romantic," he rolled his eyes, "to take a walk past here, so we might get lucky soon."
Turning to her as they waited, Alexandre wondered, "So what's up with you and Davenport, anyway?"

Ronan shook her head at the question. "I-I don't know." Her eyes were clouded with confusion and for a second she thought about skipping hunting, but then decided it would be a good way to get her mind off Drake.
"All right, let's go." She conceded, looking determined now instead of puzzled.

Alexandre was unphased by the growl. However, all of the people that turned to stare obviously weren't. He rolled his eyes and growled at them. "Oh, look, I can do that too!" he snapped sarcastically at them. "We're not a fucking circus act, move along." All or most of the students that knew about his temper quickly backed off, the rest following more slowly. They probably just stopped staring because there really wasn't anything to see after her original short burst of temper. So Alexandre ignored the humans and turned back to Ronan. "And I never said I didn't hate her. I said we couldn't kill her." Unless she was deaf, he was pretty sure Ronan had heard that much of the conversation. Whether she chose to take it in was another matter in itself.
Alexandre chuckled a little harder. Oh, this was definitely the first stages of denial. She was trying to convince herself against her attraction to him, and out loud nonetheless. Amused, he said, "If you don't like him, why do you have to try so hard to convince yourself otherwise?" The relationships between people in rival elements seemed to have blossomed tenfold this year. He and Migoto had been one of the first, they could boast that. But there had been many after. Annice and Conner, for one. And Alexandre had a feeling she more than just felt protective for that kid that had tried to kill her. It was going to prove problematic when the elements went to war. Guessing she'd asked herself that question, Alexandre decided to input his opinion anyways. "Sounds like it." He jerked his head toward the doors, which they had reached. "Anyway, I'm off to hunt."

Ronan growled a little louder than she should have at Alex, judging by a few turning human heads. She stopped and looked at Alex. "I never said you were bitching. Excuse me for hating little sluts like her."
She looked down, then raised her arm and chewed on her jacket sleeve, something she did when she was depressed or nervous. "But I can't like him....We hate each other." As if trying to reassure herself, she said "Yes, I hate him. I hate him very much."
Or do you? A little voice inside her asked. "Do I?" She breathed.
