--------------- Nerine walked into the washroom, clicking her heels as she strutted into the barren bathroom. She forgot to apply make up this morning, as she slept in late, and decided to use this time to prep up her face and make her look cutesy. She loved looking cute for guys, as her blue eyes and charming personality attracted them closer. And being a water elemental, she has a natural relationship with earth elementals, which have always been her soft spot. She got tired of looking good for the same boys all the time though, as she was just eye candy for the boys in her classes. However, even though she has some pride in her beauty, she never let looks affect who she is inside. She always sticks true to her internal morals, and even if she is hit on by every guy, she won't go anywhere with them unless they were her boyfriend. She wasn't loose... Not like some people she knew.
There was a rumor going around school about a girl, some fire elemental they say. She was loose, like REALLY loose. Nerine almost cringes at the thought of giving her body to multiple men, and that didn't really help her apply her make up. She took out her black pencil liner and lined her eyes, adding a tiny wing to the edges of her eye. She was always worried that she looked like a whore. She wore pretty clothes, had a nice body, and had a cute face. However, those are some of the things that can classify her as such. Her fear was becoming what she despised, and by keeping to her values, that would prevent her from doing such. She took out her mascara next and applied a thin layer, so she wouldn't have huge eye lashes to bat around at men. Licking at her dry lips, she applied some chapstick and let that settle for a minute.
Was Nerine loose? No, Nerine. You are not loose. You are a nice young, respectable lady with moral values. However, given her bubbly personality, she could come off as a flirt. Ugh, the struggles of a woman and her paranoia. She applied some lip gloss and took out her light blue eye shadow and started to light apply it. She wanted to look nice, but not come off too strong. And as she got done with one eye, she dropped her applier in the sink, which was somewhat wet. Crap. She couldn't use that anymore, or else it will smudge on her face. She didn't have a spare. How could she go outside with only one eye done? Oh my goodness this was a problem! She can't just leave looking half decent! She sighed as she just stared into the mirror, looking at her half done face.
Suddenly, she heard the door open and someone walk in. Without hessitation, she asked "Hey! Do you have another applicator I can use? I dropped mine in the sink so..."
[Sorry: Added dialog so you weren't totally in the blue]

Altair stretched out in her seat, arms above her head as her shirt lifted to reveal her stomach the naval piercing that she’d gotten some time ago. She barely got any sleep last night, thanks to the fact she actually attempted to study. It never worked out very well, usually ended up in her opening a beer and trying to find something to do. She liked keeping active, and for her studying didn’t really cut it for her. Plus, she’d also had work, and she was really itching for a new job. She was confiden in what she wanted, it just took time, as with everything. Her previous modeling job would certainly help get her back into the industry, along with her intense drive. She was self-assured and remarkably prideful and she knew that she deserved better than stripping. Than whoring herself out, no matter how much she enjoyed working with one of her favorite things. She actually didn’t know which came first—modeling or sex. I certainly can make it this time, she thought with a small smirk. Sleeping around sure helped, and she was more than willing to do so.
She didn’t even consider herself a slut, because labels like that were just things others stuck on people to make themselves feel better about who they are. What she did was her own business, but she was not ashamed of it. Sex was natural, everyone did it and it was an animalistic drive. Altair didn’t understand why such a thing needed to be so hush-hush, so monogomous. It was rather archaic, back when there were chasity belts and women were forced to be the image of purity. She believed that they’d moved beyond that, which is why she felt disdain whenever she heard men referred to as players. Girls were whores, and yet a guy who got around was someone to be admired and looked up to? It was ironic to consider. That’s why she was never bothered when someone called her a slut, save for the fact that she hated people and her temper was easily riled—it wasn’t the word that bothered her. She knew who she was and didn’t see why it mattered to other people. She was clean, she got tested, she was on birth control, and yet people still made such a huge deal out of sex. Altair bit her lip to keep herself from laughing out loud.
When class ended, she grabbed her purse and headed to the washrooms, heels clicknig against the floor. Next period was free, thank god, and she wanted to have a smoke before returning to classes afterward. She could have left the building, but the bathroom was just as good. Altair wasn’t surprised to see someone already in the bathroom, what did surprise her was the girl to immediately ask for an applier. She lifted her eyebrow but didn’t answer immediately, simply set her purse on the sink as she studied herself in the reflection a moment, eyes on her blouse. She was always dressed impeccably, as if she had somewhere to be, someone important to meet. It took only a moment of searching through her purse to find her applicator and handed it off to the girl. ”Why don’t you just dry it off?” she asked, eyeing the sink. She wasn’t being particularly friendly because she never was, but she wasn’t being completely standoffish. That would have been different last year, when she first came with her sisters, when everyone was an enemy except those girls. Now she was more focused, more determined to get shit done than to fuck everyone up who got in her way. Of course, she still loved fighting. It was something she lived for, other than fucking.
She made sure that the sinks weren’t wet around the area before sliding ontop of the queue, shifting so that she could take out her Marlboros from the back pocket of her jeans. Taking a moment, she smirked as she snapped her fingers and created a small flame that lasted only a moment, long enough to light the cigarette she had in her mouth, pack sitting next to her. It would get easier, she knew. Blowing out the smoke, she didn’t expect the girl to snitch or anything. That’s what she liked about people, one of the only things she liked—most didn’t rat others out about petty shit. With that thought, she flicked the ash into the sink next to her, the nicotine relaxing her and easing her frayed mind.
[thank you! and i apologize that she didn't speak much in return. ><]

--------------- A blonde haired girl clicked her way into the bathroom, almost totally ignoring Nerine. Perhaps she didn't hear her, or maybe she was just busy. Nerine decided to shrug it off as she reached into the sink and get her applicator. Just as she got it out, the girl quite rudely suggested her to just dry it off, but gave her a new one anyways. "Wow! Thanks so much! I appreciate it," Nerine said, finally applying enough eye shadow to complete her other eye. However, the girl next to her had gotten on top of the sink. Well, I guess it wasn't HER bathroom, so she could do as she pleases. She slowly applied her make up, making sure each eye was the same. Snap. She ignored it, and just gave herself a final look. She never had to put foundation on, as her skin was always clear and she had a natural blush that made her somewhat charismatic. She smiled at herself, winked for good luck, and just as she was about to hand over the applicator, she turned to the girl, and she was smoking... She must have lit it when she snapped, being that she is probably a fire elemental. "Um... You know... smoking isn't the best thing in the bathroom. Secondhand smoke kills..." She coughed and widened her eyes for a moment, almost in a comedic manner. She simply set the applicator next to the girl's thigh, hoping she would just take it whenever she was done smoking. "So, have you heard about the fire elemental sleeping around with all the guys? I heard she's really loose... Since you are fire elemental and all, do you know anything about it? Personally, I think that she should stop being so, forgive me for lack of a better word but, slutty." She said that last word with disgust in her voice and a crinkle in her face. The smoke was filling the room, leaving a musky and hazy air about it. Nerine did NOT approve of smoking, nor did she really tolerate it, especially since this girl is so young. It could kill her. Ugh, the smoke was killing her lungs, figuratively speaking. "Seriously, you need to smoke somewhere else or just stop smoking..." Nerine, being fed up with the stench of the vile miasma, decided to have a little plan. She turned the faucet on just a bit, and with a swirl of her hand, created a small orb of water, enough to douse the cig and possibly splash the girl. She sent it flying her way, trying to douse the cigarette and teach the girl NOT to smoke in the bathroom. After she sent it flying her way, she smiled. "That'll teach you to smoke in here," she rudely said, sneering at the girl.

Altair didn’t give any acknowledgment to the girl’s thanks, mostly because she wasn’t one for pleasantries like that. She didn’t help her out just to hear those words, so she didn’t feel the need to say a ‘welcome’ in return. Some may consider it rude, but that was just how Altair was. Her blue eyes gave a once-over of the girl when she gave her advice, smirking a little even though she didn’t necessarily find it funny. ”Does it? Never heard that.” Of course Altair was being ironic, her humor as dry as a midwestern desert, as the smoke wafting around her. When the girl began speaking again, she didn’t humor her with a glance. ”A lot of people sleep around,” was her short reply at first. A Fire elemental whoring around wasn’t very specific or descriptive, so Altair didn’t assume that it was about her. Though, the way the other girl spoke peeved her. ”Is her sluttiness causing problems for you.” Her tone was scathing. She saw no reason why a person should stop anything they were doing because someone else thought they should, especially if it was causing no harm.
”What does it matter to you if some chick decides to fuck a lot?” This girl sounded like the perfect example of the product of a 40’s style upbringing. Altair was less-than-apologetic that she did not comform to what society expected of all women. She wasn’t spreading diseases as most would like to think, or getting pregnant, and so Altair didn’t see the allure of talking about who fucked who. This bitch needs to get laid, she thought. Sex was a good thing, and yet it was taboo to speak of. The act was euphoric, it was natural, it was what kept civilization going. Before making love, there was only pure physical sex, cavemen humping for the sake of procreation. Altair never made love, and she didn’t care for it, because that meant being with someone who you were in love with. One person forever? It would get boring, knowing every secret of another body, the same moves every night.
Whereas she was only slightly irritated by the other girl before, she was growing more and more incensed by the second. With the other girl’s high and mighty demeanor, Altair was instantly displeased. ”Ah, so this is your bathroom, I assume. Why don’t you just leave?” She seemed to be done with her make-up, after all, it didn’t make much sense to stay. Besides, Altair wasn’t about to let herself get pushed around. Especially not when the girl turned out to be a Water elemental, as she discovered when the water splashed over her cigarette and her jeans. She set her jaw in irritation, jumping down from the sink, laying the cigarette on the counter. Altair was tempted to roll her eyes at the Water’s next words, sounding like they were taken from a movie or some shit, but her face was entirely impassive. Then she sucker punched the girl across her face, the only manifestation of her anger. ”I don’t know who the fuck you think you are,” Altair said dangerously, ”but do not ever mess with me.”

--------------- Nerine chuckled at the site of the fire elemental being splashed. Doing so didn't really drain too much energy, and was ready to do it again if needed. She looked at where her orb had splashed her. It had gone and doused the cigarette and then finished off by splashing on her jeans. She was glad that girl got what she deserved, because smoking in the girls bathroom is a really big issue for Nerine. I mean, who wants to waste their life away by smoking, and then endangering those innocent people walking in and out, just to go pee or change their tampons! It was just SUPER inconsiderate, and Nerine felt as if she had saved some lives, even if it was just superficial. Afterall, it is the little things that count, right? I mean, it was killing the blonde girl, and killing Nerine. It's a lose-lose situation. Nerine just doesn't understand why people do stupid stuff all the time. Why can't they just try and work in the benefit of others? Nerine looked at the girl, responding to her comments quite rudely.
"Well, secondhand smoke does kill, and any half-educated person knows that." Now she turned bitter. It wasn't like Nerine to sneer comments back at people, especially since she was quite often kind. But this girl... This girl is being inconsiderate and inappropriate, and therefore, should be punished. At least, Nerine thought so. Any who, she stood up straight and tall as she commented back again. "Yeah, it does bother me. Cause we don't want half the male population in this school to catch whatever she has... Or should I say, you have." Nerine accused the blonde bitch of being the whore, considering the way she was dressed up. It was almost like she was about to sleep around but in style. Slightly disturbing, Nerine thought. Nerine laughed slightly, but then something hit her... The blonde girl had clenched her first and struck Nerine right in the jaw. Nerine's neck twisted, twisting her body with it as she put her hands out to catch herself on the sink. "What... the hell... That hurt!" Nerine said, with pain in her jaw. Given it was just a bruise, she had to retaliate somehow... She can't just let this girl boss her around.
"You want to play? Let's play..." Nerine turned the faucet onto full blast, and directed the flow of water right at the blonde girl. She would just try to douse her, so that she can just walk away. She didn't want to hurt the girl, but this was the only way she know how to defend herself. The stream of water did not have intent to harm the fire elemental, because faucets aren't really that strong. It does require some effort to direct that stream, but if it gets this girl off her chest, it's worth it 100%. Dousing her would limit her powers and let Nerine have the upperhand, but if she were to just fight Nerine one on one, Nerine might lose this cat fight. She can't throw a punch, and taking one hurts just as bad. After a few seconds, she turned the faucet off. The mist that was created by the redirection did cause Nerine to possibly miss her intended target, but who knows, maybe her aiming was lock on. Only time would tell once the misted cleared to see if she had hit that girl will the stream of water.

Altair blinked. There were so many things wrong with this situation. Where did the girl get off telling her what to do was the first one. What Altair did was her own damn business, and it wasn’t like secondhand smoke from one chick in the bathroom was going to give you lung cancer. Apparently this bitch was not as educated as she came off as. ”Any half-educated person understands sarcasm.” She rolled her eyes after making the retort. It almost astounded Altair, finding someone more pompous than her. At least she didn’t go around preaching to people. She didn’t see the point of sticking her nose in other people’s business in the first place, and she only attacked if she felt in some way offended. This girl apparently thought that the world revolved around her, and that everyone should bend to her will. Of course, Altair could be wrong. She was just a judgmental person, and first impressions were everything to her. Still, it didn’t mean that she also couldn’t change her mind later. But she didn’t think she’d be changing her mind about this girl.
She grinned, and it was full of malice, full of hate. People like Nerine seemed to make it a hobby of theirs to piss her off. She was reminded of Gabriella. At least the Water graduate wasn’t a condescending bitch. However, Altair wasn’t about to give either of them credit for anything. ”Trust me, hun, I don’t go around spreading diseases,” she said, before taking a step forward. People liked to make up rumors, even though it was necessary in her profession to keep clean, especially since her clients couldn’t be trusted with the same thing. ”And why are you concerned about these guys, unless…you’re fucking them, too?” She lifted her eyebrows as she proved this point. If Nerine was as pure as she acted, then she certainly wouldn’t be worried about catching anything. And so who Altair slept with shouldn’t be a priority. It wasn’t like Altair cared, besides. Nerine’s words had no effect on her, because her lifestyle was her own choice, not dictated by what others told her she should be doing.
She gained glee in hearing the girl’s protest. ”No shit, it hurt,” she said with a snort. What, did punches in her experience not hurt? This girl seemed both naïve and simple, at least that’s what her behavior gave credit to. Altair’s blue eyes darted to the girl as she turned on the faucets and sent a high-powered stream toward her. She took the blast with a small grunt, not bothering to take out her lighter and waste fire power trying to burn it away when it wasn’t really a damaging attack. It just left her soak, and she got that feeling that she could relate to a cat, something often encountered when fighting a Water elemental.
Her eyes were set in a glare, and they were icy cold, and she wished she were a graduate so she could clear the mist. However, she hadn’t moved far from her position with the attack, and so it was only a few steps before she took Nerine’s wrists in her hand and pinned her hard against the wall, making sure to put enough pressure so the girl could feel just how much muscle Altair had on her side. ”I don’t play,” she said, her voice eerily calm. ”I’m not going to fuck around.” And she also knew that it wasn’t good to fuck with a Water student. But she wasn’t about to back down. That would label her as a coward. She wasn’t a coward. Letting go of one arm, Altair aimed her fist in the other girl’s cut, backing away. ”Are you going to back the fuck off now, because I really don’t have time.” She was wet, she wanted a smoke, and she wanted to fucking kill this girl all at once. She knew she couldn’t do the latter, so the former was a better option, and for that she needed this bitch to lay the fuck off.
